When Harmony Faltered

Enamored with desire
Genuine tug she felt
Cuddling sensual love

Till knock on the door
Startled her vision.

Reluctantly she awoke
Knowing why he came
As familiar vibrations
Announced his name

Sounding a warning
When harmony faltered
As the songbird missed
Its rhythm on purpose

Alerting her sanctity
To resume her dream
Opting veritable fantasy
Over spurious reality.

Sometimes fantasy is more welcoming than reality. Sad she got interrupted in her dream. The poem is concluded with a salient truth....!

"Sounding a warning When harmony faltered As the songbird missed Its rhythm on purpose" I love this stanza. I think we need fantasy sometimes; makes reality easier to bear.
