Premium Member A Tough Question

An explorer's life can be tough
when it is time to use a rough
bridge to cross a ravine
and flee an indigene.
Is the thirteenth board strong enough?

Anemic Lie

I saw a lie cross a path
it was anemic and weak
as it made its way

craving a soul that only knows
a life in fear and pain
it did not have far to go...

Snow Season

The garden’s like a canvas, white as any page,
And snowflake ballerinas flutter cross a stage.

What do you get?
When you cross a cross?
With a plus sign,
You get what.
Addition or four-way stop;
And an added cross;
Octagon lost;

Premium Member Deep Freeze

Many scientists worked all through the night
To cross a snowman with a vampire's bite
They thought it would be a breeze
But then their fingers did freeze
And all of them ended up with frostbite

Easter

Earthen shell broken and placed, in
Agony upon Golgotha's cross, a
Savior redeems hope for mankind.
True love is stronger than death, while
Easter brought first resurrection.
Rejoice now, in remembrance of Him.

The First Snow

I cross a river of sticks-
frozen, the fallen brothers
of the War of the Seasons.
Snotty dew grasps at siena tips
in a crack between the planks of time
as the Gods cast white petals down
from some isle south of heaven.
Form: Pastoral

Premium Member Rams' Horns and Squids

   Rams have two horns
     on top of their head

   the better to butt you
     and leave you for dead

which is why you should never
     cross a ram ever

   unless you’re a giant squid
or a large bull from Madrid

Thinking In Circles

I walk quickly in circles without hurry
Thinking in panic without thought or worry
As rain hammers down from clear blue skies
Soaking me to the skin; leaving me bone dry
I cross a road without progressing
Whilst rushing slowly to keep from digressing

Premium Member At the End of the Road

At the end of the road
There will always be someone

You will cross a thousand and one sodades
Surrounded by real illusions
Surrounded by happiness of joy
Surrounded by immortalities of present

Because at the end of the road
There will always be you

Someday
I'll
fly away

to
this unknown
place

High
above the
clouds

I'll
cross a bridge

between
the
Stars

Somewhere
over
the Rainbow -

Crossing the Bridge

How can you teach Poetry,
or breathe for someone else

Sharing what your soul has freed,
deep within yourself

Can you cross a bridge for others,
its toll not yours to pay

Squeezing blood from wounds long healed
—transfusion’s masquerade

(Villanova Pennsylvania: April, 2017)

The Comet

Streak of light
"Cross a darkening sky
Travel afar
To meet my eye.
Not seen for many
A decade past
Return once more
through spaces vast.
Diminishing brightness
Fades to grey
This rock and ice
Recede away.
Once more to hurl
Through time and space
Away from us
The human race.

Transfusion's Masquerade

How can you teach Poetry,
  or breathe for someone else

Sharing what your soul has freed,
  deep within yourself

Can you cross a bridge unbuilt,
its toll not yours to pay

Squeezing blood from wounds long healed,
 —transfusion’s masquerade

Golden waves sway in a strange sky to create a new shade. With bare feet, cross a shroud's path, but no one is aware. Summer starts as scarlet hues salute a mottled promenade. This image has gold sparkle and blue padded birds there.

Crossing the Line

If you should cross a vampire
With a green eyed pussycat,
Would you get a flying kitty,
Or a cross eyed, bloody bat?

If you should cross an umpire
With a runner at third base,
Would the runner get a better call,
Or an umpire in his face?

I must have come too close to tearing the veil from your eyes
To have asked you to cross a bridge
When the distance was greater than either of us imagined
Now I wait on the other side listening to sparrows and doves
But the truth is; I hear only silence
Your heart beating someplace
That I'll never find

CHRISTMAS EVE

Midnight bells
Now close
Now far
They quake the old boards
Shivering up the steeple
Cast iron
Fired to last three thousand years
Drone ‘cross a sleeping countryside
Bells!
Bells!
Brother Johning round the Moon
And on the moment dark windows
Light-up!
Hallelujah!
Hallelujah!

A wolf, a lamb, a corn sack, must cross a river, but one fits with you. First lamb, then corn, return lamb then wolf, then return for lamb. Date: 06/20/2019 *The wolf eats the lamb, the lamb eats the corn sack - how can all three cross and not eat the other, on either bank of the river?

Premium Member Superstition

Lucky horseshoe a lone white feather.

Four leaf clover and lucky Heather.

Eyes of newt and wing of bat.

Do not cross a cat that is black.

Don't walk under a ladder it is said.

Or something will happen and strike you dead.

Devils witches and warlocks to.

Do you believe in superstitions?

I know I do.

Premium Member Giving Vs Taking

Having naught but love within,
for all mankind.
God's, chosen sacrifice, that sin
became powerless to bind.

In death before the mass,
His voice He lifted up.
But knowing this could not pass,
He consumed the bitter cup.

He took far less from life,
than back he gave.
One life, embroiled in strife,
a cross, a borrowed grave.
