Giving Vs Taking

Having naught but love within, for all mankind. God's, chosen sacrifice, that sin became powerless to bind. In death before the mass, His voice He lifted up. But knowing this could not pass, He consumed the bitter cup. He took far less from life, than back he gave. One life, embroiled in strife, a cross, a borrowed grave.
