The Comet
Streak of light
"Cross a darkening sky
Travel afar
To meet my eye.
Not seen for many
A decade past
Return once more
through spaces vast.
Diminishing brightness
Fades to grey
This rock and ice
Recede away.
Once more to hurl
Through time and space
Away from us
The human race.
