Christmas Eve

CHRISTMAS EVE Midnight bells Now close Now far They quake the old boards Shivering up the steeple Cast iron Fired to last three thousand years Drone ‘cross a sleeping countryside Bells! Bells! Brother Johning round the Moon And on the moment dark windows Light-up! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

what a joyous and beautiful picture, Daver. My elephant poem was just nonsense for the contest. It's an elephant of mine in prison who gets released and is gonna marry Ella, the one that is not my elephant and who waters the town garden! go read it again. Maybe you will get it this time. haha. OH, and thanks for the pics. You do not look heavy at all, like you would have me believe! LUv, Andrea

The sound of Christmas bells evokes such joy, Daver. You captured the festive spirit in this delightful poem, dear friend. Thank you for the lovely Christmas card! I'd like to join you if you plan to go "Johning 'round the Moon"! Love and blessings, Carolyn
