Just In Time

My pup had puddin’ in a cup
Tapioca and mocha
Downed it, bottoms up!

Had the runs, got into a fit
Made it in time
Lickety-split

Bottoms Up

taking all of my pills
and vitamins to fill
a shot glass

chasing them to stop
the things that are
chasing me

with
a bottle

Bottoms Up

I just hit rock bottom I fear
The landing sure tore up my rear
A BADLY bruised butt
But hey, ya know what?
I'm starting to LIKE it down here

Like toy boats on a pond
The ducklings swam in precise line
One by One
They ducked down, bottoms up
Treasure Hunters
One held a fish in its mouth

Cilly Willy was born transgender
And became a Public Defender
She could be a judge
If she would just fudge
But she knows that Trump would upend her

Happy Birthday, Thoyd

To the foam of the caps of the beery sea
I lift my lips to re-pleasure me,
And the tide runs on full till the last long wave
And it's "Bottoms up!" to the writing brave!

I have always wanted to see the world
From the bottom up
So when I die
don't cry
Throw my ashes down the toilet
And flush with vigor
while shaking the handle
here is looking up at you

Bottoms Up

P lease read the bottom first
U nderstanding my thirst

S orry to disappoint you
M y lips are sealed I think
O ther than my rootbeer
T his man just doesn't drink

Overheard at a Jewish wedding:

She's quite a catch
  Mazel tov! L'cha'im!
    Bottoms up!
      Down the hatch!

Hey, why so blue?
  He's a dream come true
    Mazel tov! L'cha'im!'
Hope he's the right one for you...

Beached the sun-bleached bottoms
of small boats color the sand scape,
safely turned bottoms-up
far from the high tide’s line.
They lay in wait beneath the teardrop rain,
huddled from the bay’s breath, they hide.
It is only the lap of languid wave that bides.

Bottoms Up

Heavy handed was the pour
convex cap to rim of glass
chasers iced and doubled back
dry toast to soothe an empty flask.

Innkeepers have their history
in treating drunkards mystery
disguising in replete display
the demon haunts their every day.

Bottoms Up 2

not feeling well
not finding the
bottom of the
well

because the well
springs gone
but what about
what

the dowser didn't
say but her rods
got excited and
bent

down saying that
here there is water
to be found so
dig

so i dug and am
still digging
but finding
dirt

then my world
eyes opened
seeing the
globe

on the other
side was my
much beloved
Asian Sea

Premium Member Doctor Upyers' Clinic

A visit to Doctor Upyers' Medical Clinic was approached with trembling and dread!

Most folks would rather be fishing or have an appointment with their dentist instead!

Oh no! He wasn't trained in the fields of audiology, cardiology or cosmetology.

You see, at his Bottoms Up Clinic he specialized in the practice of proctology!

Premium Member Left for Dead

A reflection of happiness, once said
Never shown, now dead
Not enough, the hunger never fed

I’m a poor boy, rich in thought
Top down, bottoms up, I’ve been dropped
Buried after a red hell
After all the bloody drops, I turned pale
This earth in a hurry I left
All my close ones upset
Over my young termination they wept

Yall don’t understand the reason why
I wouldn’t expect U to; it’s just me who died

At a sports event in Europe*
Norway got a hefty fine
For their players were competing
In some shorts that crossed the line.

For the only proper bottoms
Are bikinis, so the crowd
Gets a peek at much more tush
Than what it seems the shorts allowed.

As the spectators were cheering,
Maybe Norway got some boos,
Since the team from Spain provided
Much more titillating views.

Ubiquitous Mallards

Bottoms up in the brook a-babbling topside down ducks a-dabbling wings in webbed feet a-scrabbling omnivorously grazing on the dunk beneath the water for insects sunk yet in the U.S.A. above below but not abaft they rank 7th most-hazardous bird to commercial and military aircraft and as a high-flyer at least one duck was struck and it's hard to beat at a cruising altitude of 21,000 feet

If bottoms up seemingly means down And if square circle means being round I I am confessing I've learned the lesson Triangular infuse portions Lay dormant decimal misplaced Dollar signs erased No monies have I My pockets are turned inside out and empty My mind lies dormant like my back on a bed My confusion is My confession without breath I am dead

The Cult

let my words guide you
do only as i say
there's nothing we cant get through
this is the only way
come with me to the other side
my souls light will guide you
you cannot run and dare not hide
this journey has been made by few
take this cup and drink to me
together we will fly away
leave your body by the sea
the afterlife greets us today
drink my child, bottoms up
my wisdom serves me well
our bodies lay by empty cups
while our souls gather in hell

Premium Member Roots - Bottoms Up

A tree's roots are under the ground
where, with little fanfare or sound
They nourish the tree that we get to see
its trunk and its limbs, its twigs and its leaves

Our focus on powerful branches
   or brilliant autumnal scenes--
We know that without sturdy roots deep down
there'd be nary a tree for miles around...

Yet my family tree has its deepest roots on top
   Without those brave primogenitors
~ all growth would have stopped

Desire on fire
It's under control
But deep down inside me
It's full and it's whole
Thoughts of big snowstorms
Still thrive and abound
While dreams of guitar lessons
Still drift around
So close that I'm catching
The faintest hint of
Rose and vanilla
Of you it's pure love
Your lips look so soft
How I'd love to kiss
Them for hours on end
In passionate bliss
The kind that make movies
Of romantic ilk
If I could just kiss them
I'd drink all my milk

The End Product

I'm thinking there's many a drinking toast 'Cheers!' 'Cin cin!' '¡Salud!' 'Sláinte!' 'Prost!' 'Here's looking at you!' or 'Mud in your eye!' 'To health wealth and happiness!' in Japan it's 'Kanpai' Hebrew 'L'chaim!' Chinese 'Ganbei!' Russia 'Na Zdorovie!' Scandinavia 'Skål!' and 'E ola!' in Hawaii but was it a member of the gay persuasion who first let slip before a sip slurp or sup twixt cup and lip the suggestion 'Bottoms up!'

Bottoms Up

When my dad said bottoms up, he wasn't talking about drinking booze.
He taught me that drinking is not a good thing to choose.
I was drinking in his house at the age of eighteen.
He was furious and he put me over his knee.
He beat my butt cheeks like a pair of bongos with his hands.
He even started using my ass for bongos when he joined a band.
He had never beat my butt like that before.
If you drink in your dad's house, your ass may be sore.

(This is a fictional poem.)

alive, awake, eyes open, floating
ahead, today, tomorrow, a shadow
growing old, a diary, a tombstone
onward, upward, hands up, face up, bottoms up
going forward, with no reverse gear, timely
a book open, uncovered, a calendar, a clock
facing up, fronting up, with soul on sleeve
