Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus

Overheard at a Jewish wedding:

She's quite a catch
  Mazel tov! L'cha'im!
    Bottoms up!
      Down the hatch!

Hey, why so blue?
  He's a dream come true
    Mazel tov! L'cha'im!'
Hope he's the right one for you...

Ha! Even two sides to a Jewish wedding coin! Actually I think there are at least 6: the bride and groom's and that of each of the parents'! :) gw

I do believe it had better be the right one. That big day is not taken lightly I know that! Hope is all they have at that point. The true colors come out after the living together begins. Nice poem,Gershon.

Everything you wrote is SO true, Caren... Are you a marriage counselor on the side?! … Another thing: Have you ever read 'Our Town,' by Thornton Wilder, really closely? If not, or if it's been a while, try it again, especially Act 2 (and Act 3). Thanks for the nice comment! :) gw

I've never been to a Jewish wedding, but this made me feel like I was there!

That's just an awesome comment, Michelle. I couldn't ask for a better one! ~ Gershon '
