Bottoms Up

Beached the sun-bleached bottoms of small boats color the sand scape, safely turned bottoms-up far from the high tide’s line. They lay in wait beneath the teardrop rain, huddled from the bay’s breath, they hide. It is only the lap of languid wave that bides. Boats Beach, Eastham Mass 2012

Oh, I got a strange capitchta (I know I spelt that wrong)...you're number 4T6T, Debs!! :) Hmmmm.."Bottoms Up", Jack below likes that title! I think it's a great title for the BOATS, but before reading this I thought you'd been referring to an alcoholic libation. I can imagine in my mind a scene such as this, the boats overturned on the beach and the "languid wave that tides". Maybe they listen in their stupor to the seagulls? Oh Debs, I'm in a silly mood. Love you, Mikki
