Loose bird
in huge aviary
lives trapped and unhappy...
Captive bird
in the green field
lives freely and
blissfully...

Where is the Bird chirping
Where is the Bird chirping??
On the terrace,
On the lane of a window
In my mind
Oh tell me where I can find?
Or the house that is behind
Let the mystery be unwined
Bird is in the aviary,
Shouting for her freedom
Because the aviary is like gravedom..

Amour,

A little letter for you,
And a few words to state the sweet obvious.

Keep the love I write of folded up in paper,
Our origami correspondence, if you will.
Swallows, ravens, cranes and swans,
Enough for an aviary of everything you ever need to know.
Un-caged, un-clipped, unending,
Free to the parchment blue.

Mon amant comme un oiseau,
My lover like the sky.

I remain yours....

In the springtime, what is that I hear? It's an aviary call sounding like "cheer, cheer, cheer". I use my binoculars to look up in a tree. Through the lenses, what a delightful sight I see! He's covered in feathers that are colored a bright red. A very intense shade from his tail to his head. Sights in the spring don't get any better than this. I don't even live in or near St. Louis.

Elfin Woman Who Loves Birds, how casually you sing their song
The wind, the elk, the beaver, the crow, all of them in a throng.
Want to tell you they admire your empathetic caring ways.
You have charmed them out of their doldrums many days.

Elf Woman Who Loves Birds appreciated the appreciation.
She had no idea she was so admired in the aviary nation.
She continued to study and watch out for her feathered friends.
And they watched out for her until the end of her ends....

Mary Mary Contrary
Why Mary Mary is being so contrary.
Her husband Larry joined the military.
His twin brother Barry married her twin sister. Carrie.
Perry and Jerry Stole Gary, her pet canary.
Sold him to Rosemary's Aviary and her primary adversary.
Due to her friend Sherry she lost her job at the dairy.
Town folk are on edge, they're very wary.
For when she's mad, Mary is arbitrarily scary!
Her reputation is evolutionary legendary.
Extraordinary! Only one to calm her is her brother Harry....
