As waves of turquoise green amble back to the deep, amber moon looks at its shadow upon the sea.

Premium Member LITTLE BITS OF MAGIC

Today I’m grateful as I travel though my life
as I amble through every day…
how the universe hides little bits of magic
for me to discover along the way.

Larry the lamb loved to frolic,
While the others were quite melancholic,
He would stagger and amble,
Then leap up and gambol,
Like a totally smashed alcoholic!

Leo living large
Lion lying in his lair
Big belly bloated

Zebra and Zebu
Warily watching, worried
Ready to run

Fatigued full feline
Snoozes in the savannah
Animals amble

Her Tears By Me

Goodbye O gravid existence.
To my new way I faintly ramble.
Remember my fate upon the
scrolls of loss.
Her tears by me were made
amble.
Should this suffice,
My words fibred and set aglow,
Wreathe me in ice.
And upon me, I bid you; row

Tranquility

Tiny ripples
amble towards the
shore.
Birds feed and
play loudly.
Silvery fishes dart about
dodging the birds and the
bigger fishes.
The plants on the
shore sway gently in the
friendly breeze

A tranquil lake in a
dormant volcano.

Wrecked

She made me live a life
full of life unnoticed
The sweetest contempt
from the sourest love
My broken parts amble by drizzled people
Cracking through frozen mist
that i wear with such aplomb
Drifting on long dead love
and never finding home

On My Bench

People amble, stroll or strut
To get some air or maybe
To do some chores or kill some time
Or walk with a new baby.

Still, others jog or run as fast
As feet allow (that’s very!),
Perhaps for exercise, but likely
Just to catch the ferry.

Global Warming - Bring It On

GLOBE WARMING BRING IT ON

Closing down sales in fur-coat shops
Polar bears amble past Madison Avenue bus
Miami people swim to work

Fry bacon free on sidewalks and building-tops
Rush for sunblock of 4000-plus
Ice-cream for dessert? That’s a perk

Premium Member As the Sun Goes Down

Just before the sun goes down
She steps out of the trees,
With her little one at her side,
As pretty as you please.

The doe and her fawn just stop by
For a short nightly visit here,
Then they amble off to the darkening wood,
Till tomorrow when they'll reappear.

I dream Of you Nights of rain Upon my window Pain Ebbs away in my desires Along a river of wavy romance In a far away place Wine inebriates me As I watch lovers amble on by The wind caressing my back Strolling in memories to my empty room On the left bank of the Seine

Premium Member Overwhelmed By Brutal Workday

lay clothes fall, hit the bedroom floor,
as do those indentured servants bound to my chest.
yawning tears puddle, blur optical lenses,
amble senselessly toward the cookies and chips.
denial as blinds open and close near tv set.
chills before wine sets in and cozy socks settle the argument.

Premium Member Vibrant Nonchalance

Amidst life’s chaos, align with Logos in heart’s sacred space, to imbibe God’s grace. When love’s our emote, aboard God’s bliss boat, we amble along, nonchalant, yet strong. Bliss dew drops like rain, cleanse soul’s egoic stain, as blessings in-pour from fontanel’s door. 17-July-2022

I will walk at eleven. Easy trip, short, sweet ramble Down to the creek, midheaven Is close, just a short amble. Where the sparse, sweet trillium Grows, also lofty goshawk Whose flights are like idioms. Join me, love, where I will walk!

Premium Member Surfing Suffering

Observing the onset of pain,
within mind-body, acid rain,
presence offers no reaction,
so suffering gains no traction,
since we neither cling nor negate
the happenstance which will abate
in time and meanwhile, the bliss chime,
conjures in heart, love’s sublime rhyme,
a healing balm, ushering calm,
as we amble on, with aplomb.

In the Face of Rage

I amble along paths
rutted deeply
In the life
that I have fashioned.

All pine for sunny days
of warmth and hope, but now
an aura tinged with fugue supplants
and haunts me with its specter.

For in the end, what I desire
simply does not matter. The fuse
is lit; the bomb goes off, and pieces
of me now are lying everywhere.

Premium Member Four Deer

four deer amble across my path on a city street. . . an unnatural natural sighting Written 2/25/16 for the Fragment Of Life Contest of Broken Wings *Note: This happened to me just this week. There is something so fascinating to me about such a simple thing. My kids always got so excited to see this kind of thing too.

Cloaking

Lost unto a Gin spin
The blood grows thin
To the beckoning
Of a morning hangover of regret
And reading the tet a tet
Of slurring rambling
The pre-amble
Shall read
Here lies the afterbirth
Of the Man Child Boy
Who writes until the morning
Comes to fetch what is left
Of the night before
Bore the brunt of self loathing
In Emperor's cloaking
age

African Woman

Like a Black Tulip
Her distinctive dark skin
Outshines a host of angels
And her soft, lovely lips
Dressed up with sweet sweat
From her heroic tiredness
Cure my tormented heart
When they quiver
As the ‘I love you' words
Amble on her truthful tongue
And then slip
Incessantly into feelings
Feelings unquenchable
Feelings indescribable
Feelings irresistible

Sic Transit Gloria

Sic Transit Gloria

When I saw a picture of him
I remembered
 Well suited,
hair combed back
Business like
He was smoking a cigar.
He had a heart attack
Greatly humbled
He left the hospital
No more cigars
No more whisky
Lost his hair
Friends gone.
He is old now
Spend much time
In his pyjamas
Amble to the shop
Buying goat milk
Sic Transit Mundo.

Premium Member God Realisation

Balancing external and internal
by awakening inner sentience,
the time continuum, Gods miracle,
as we amble along in nonchalance,
love suffused, dancing in exuberance,
recognising we are not mind-body,
nor a this or that, labelled somebody,
distilling attention, we vaporise,
distancing ourself from ego shoddy,
purity of heart, does God realise.

Premium Member Kentia Palms Catch a Breeze

Kentia palms catch a breeze
   And sway gently in their rows;
This verdant sanctuary
   Comforts me like the psalms.

I amble slowly between them -
My head tapped by the fronds.
I feel the warmth of the sun;
The fresh air fills my lungs.

A kintsugi pot rests on pebbles -
   Beautiful but defiant.
Gold sealed up the fissures -
Reminding me of who I am.

Gloom Power

Gloom Power

When I opened fast shut mind
I respected community of the blind.
They achieved such a rare feat;
Mostly these guys never cheat!
Though engulfed in eternal gloom
They stir with skill in the room!
With amble time to fret and sire,
They sustain unbroken desire.
To acumen, prowess and amity
Is what they turned their calamity!

Met

so the little time is
spent
i look at the minute
dissect it
till the microscope of time
is pushed too far
I am
not taking into account your account
it's all about me
I sigh,
idly i amble to this moment
dazzling my eyes
the glistening water streams
no river is formed
as the surface absorbs it
no drops
my dissected minute....met the whole
in a split second.

Premium Member Autumn Memories

Autumn and bygone memories,
bare cornfields, luscious heaths,
where tracks zigzag to vales
as hikers' joy blooms.
The green ferns thrive
from recent downpours;
goats graze before the winter blasts
and hay-laden carts amble by.
Here and there old farms dot
the countryside, smoke silently
curling slowly out of blackened chimneys.
Oh how I yearn for my past childhood.
