Notes About The Poem

Nights of Satin

I dream Of you Nights of rain Upon my window Pain Ebbs away in my desires Along a river of wavy romance In a far away place Wine inebriates me As I watch lovers amble on by The wind caressing my back Strolling in memories to my empty room On the left bank of the Seine

Paris has often rewarded you with beautiful inspiration, Arthur! Strolling alone down memory lane...one can feel longing and a touch of sadness. ~ Regards // paul

Wine and loneliness usually are not a good mixture, unless a great poet like you is writing about them. Then you turn them into a wonderful poem.
