Four Deer

four deer amble across my path on a city street. . . an unnatural natural sighting Written 2/25/16 for the Fragment Of Life Contest of Broken Wings *Note: This happened to me just this week. There is something so fascinating to me about such a simple thing. My kids always got so excited to see this kind of thing too.

I like this one, Andrea..I think it's the simplicity of the event yet the words convey a distinctive account-- very easy to put myself in your place when read. Nice write..and congrats on the placement!

Last week I was happily surprised to see two deer at the bottom of our driveway,.....happy that is, until I realized they had nibbled our poor struggling little pear tree !! They weren't at all afraid of me, as I walked closer. (Later saw the same two eating flowers near the front porch of a neighbor's house! I love seeing these kind of things!! Cute poem!
