The fresh year slips within my dream
to raise the light of compassion...
a healing smile, a touch agleam
can nourish hearts in starvation
like orphans, flamed with a vision.

Premium Member City of My Birth, Agleam
The jam of guitars floods a moonlit trail

    Dizzy where tangy hyacinths delight…

Folks prancing on rhumba beats to unveil

My city agleam...near a harbor bright.

Premium Member An Autumn Pastoral
How is it in this meadow plush with grass
Where sturdy oaks stand holding up the sky
Their shade recedes -long summer days decry
To fade their glinting leaves to molten brass

Leaves that turn into October’s dream
Floating down as rustic butterflies
In Nature’s oft repeating Fall disguise
Bright canvases that set first frost agleam...

Faery Land
Winged creatures delight a field at rest
enchanting the night, her warm request
to tease all blooms in fine array
and spill magic as wind-songs play.

A shimmer of wands brightens oak trees
petals laughing with grass at ease,
joyful the air spilling faery beams
while heaven smiles on earth, agleam.

Upon the Strings of Heaven
Above the hills behind the village church
The swirling stars beseech the golden moon.
Upon what strings of heaven do you perch?
And how is brightness hurled with true love strewn?
Do tell us now, oh moon, and end our search.
The fields of gravity exist attune!
And make the starry nights a lover’s dream.
Sweet gifts from God do keeps man’s life agleam....

Shoreline
Watching sunrise, shoreline's ablaze
Love letter sent from Thee
I sing a psalm, an Easter palm
And start my day with glee.

Watching sunset, shoreline's agleam
A note Thou sent with smile
I heave a sigh, a love's reply
And thank God for this isle.

Back To You
i traipse along
these crystal sands
collecting memories
like shells, unbroken

a windy mist
of ocean's kiss
the sighs
of jaded palms
timeless shadows
of faded footsteps
leading back to you

my thoughts
fall silent
beneath the whispers
of endless waves

my mind
unclouded
blushes
in folds
of day

my smile
agleam
in its wake

...all leading
back to you...

As If We Never Said Goodbye
My life is quilted, layered by years spent in reveries bridging yesterdays, brushing tears from sallow cheeks. In dreams, your voice echoes whispers with sugared sighs of passion in my ear. Your eyes agleam with need and desire as if you still lie beside me each night. On Broadway Poetry Contest nette onclaud as sponsor June 27, 2020 posting date

Lost In a Dream
in restless sleep
  my eyes fluttered
    candles sputtered
      lost in a dream

enchanted night
  stars were agleam
    caught a moonbeam
      in my bare hands

lambent glitter
  beyond belief
    in bright gold leaf
      oh, how it shone

then came the morn
  I woke alone
    my fate bemoaned
      at break of dawn

I stretched and sighed
  stifled a yawn
    window shades drawn
      and I slept on...

Premium Member Floral Scenes
Somehow a scene from girlhood days
Will flit across my hazy mind;
To lead me down enchanting ways
I thought I had once left behind
Of Grandma's touch… so sweet and kind.

Her garden floats on dappled stream
Where trees callow burst into leaf,
Our hands gather the blooms, agleam
Which paint a view though spring turns brief--
Yet in my heart… I find relief.

A Love Note
The face i see throughout my dreams
A face so lovely that shines agleam
The smile that gives me a cordial impression
A smile i cannot live without, to my confession
The times we are parted, I must endure
Wether I shall last through the night, I am unsure
But to see you again shall be my drive
The thought of you, keeps me alive
So i beg you not to leave, do not disappear
For my pain inside would be severe
Don't you see 'tis you I adore
Will you stay with me forevermore...

Premium Member Sunflowers Ablaze
Embedded deeply in trickles of rain;
I grasp love’s ending as my head lays down
On a field of blossoms, their tresses agleam,
Curtsying gaily unto April winds...
Dear sunflower, sunflower, lift me high
Your lustrous twirls  beheld to these cold eyes;
In fresh revelry, a tearful heart whispers
For daylight of change… now a bud ablaze,
Igniting my faith, reborn like your sway
To dance again through heavenly prayers!
