Barefoot on Boulders-Number 5

(Number 5) Smiles rise over the ridge. Courts creek, a childhood dream. Commonsense, not even a smidge. Barefoot on boulders, eyes agleam. Staggering sight of matchstick bridge.

Great lines Kim, tried to decide which of the last three I like best. The title,"Barefoot on Boulders", drew me. It's the Twilight Zone, since you commented on my "Barefoot" poem which came to me today. I guess the pleasure of being barefoot is a common sentiment.

“The creek was tempting” if I said it in another way. Kids enjoy water, fishing, swimming etc… However the creek enticed the children. Thank you, Paige, for critiquing. I appreciate you!

All this information in a short verse! So level 5 rock climbing is intermediate, and I read some people do it barefoot, a rare set of people..."matchstick bridge" seems like a dream...you truly are a lovely and informative soul in all your writings...thanks! Hugs!

Courts is a verb. The creek is tempting. I hung out by a creek as a kid. Loved it. Thank you so much for your kind words, Paige.

...nice write.....in my old home town the harbor was separated from the beach by a pier made of stone boulders and pieces of old cement foundations.....barefoot, we'd go out there to catch a carp...stan

Fun days! We’d climb the stone wall in my backyard. There was a small woods (seemed much bigger as a child) with a creek. Thank you, SB!
