A Winter Cabin 

Dying embers smolder,
Adding to winter’s bane, 
A blinding winter sun,
A broken window pane.

Snow covers the ground, 
Wispy as a new cloud, 
Thick blankets of white, 
A blurred frozen shroud.

My breath bellows white, 
Log walls meet cold floor,
My dawn world abstracted, 
Light spears through the door.

The blackened fireplace,
Drifting to a cold end, 
I stoke the glowing embers,
And life roars back again....

Is there a hue within that to a bird's eye gives a hint?
And since the realms of Space are said to be black,
Are the white linens of Earth just a terrestial fact?

Why do the Arctic's snows hurt and bruise eyes' gentle orbs?
And why does pure white reflect that which eager black absorbs?
But contrasts of the two defines our abstracted sight,
To be amazed by a white cloud and in awe of black night....

careless in our seats we swivel

for the pathetic twisting me

Can't shake'em since they know know better
can't get loose from tightening fetters

Their pain I feel,I try too deal
but it's like a hubcap,without a wheel

Like a bird without it's flying pinfeathers
freefall facing stormy weather
