Listen to poem:

Abstracted Naught

Abstracted Naught
David J Walker

As soon as they left
You head
The limpid thoughts
Headed south

The words that parted
Your lips
         passed you mouth
In ways not meant for
Distracted thought

But still slipped
into the
Abstracted naught

Of something you wished
you’d never thought

Especially wished
you’d never said
