The Ant - Chapter 27, Verses 88, Holy Koran

And you think the mountains stand firmly
But they shall fly like the flying cloud -
It’s the craft of God
Who has made everything thoroughly!
He is aware of whatever you do no doubt.

To create the like of this Koran the message of the Creator

T'was not the season of saviors and saints,
or martyrs marching in peace.
Pure anger brought unruly rest.
No sighs to calm the beast.
And prayer was All - at best.

Untitled #88 / Empty Pentagon

Late summer, late afternoon
in front of the empty Pentagon
the protest is over, nothing’s changed,
I’m walking home. But a young man,
black, blue jean jacket, buttons
passes in front. A smile exchanged.
The truth is known.

Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

YESTERDAY, TODAY & TOMORROW
Tomorrow, is the future
Yesterday, is the past
Today, is the present
So make it last

Because, tomorrow is unknown
Yesterday, you can’t change
Today, is the only time
YOU, have the stage

Make moments glow with a sure poise,
Urge cause to grow as heart gives voice;
See how cheer flows to cast impact,
Etch a fond show as light primes choice.

“we estimate tomorrow’s rainfall to be between two and 88 inches.”
that weatherman’s bound to be right, I told my husband.
“not if it doesn’t rain,” he replied.
“Or if it rains less than two inches,” said my mother.

88 Keys

88 keys on a ring
is too many
  to carry
    to know
      to manage.
But bring me 88 keys
of ivory and black
and I’m in heaven.

I pick out five,
or maybe six
  to strike,
    and again
      then seven.
Oh, beauteous sounds of
harmonious notes that
rub together just for me.

Foresight

Foresight written on 8/26/88 by Tammy Ann Rose Snyder

The blameless Foresight
	Of the night
		Began to grow forthwith

It crawled and crept
	Until I wept
		But never revealed it’s myth

I sought the comfort
	To cavort
		Inside my head so deep

Almost emerging
	Then clashing and converging
		I finally fell asleep

You can live your life believing all will end well
However, where we end up we can’t really foretell

Expectantly looking forward, to a time of warm peaceful bliss
But if continually knocked down, would golden really be like this

That so called period of the golden years
Sometimes easily drifts away in darkness and tears

Morrer E Pensar

Morrer e Pensar

Desde sempre é assim:
uma pessoa de sucesso
tem o costume
de fazer tudo àquilo
que as pessoas
preferem nunca fazer.

Cerca de 10%
das pessoas
pensam que pensam;
e os outros 88%
preferem morrer
a pensar.

A conclusão
é o resultado
de soma,
das pessoas
que fazem sempre
mais e mais
simples assim.

My Fate My Life

Using the Octodil Form 44/66/88/66

Around it turns
My fate my life
Can happiness prevail
It is in my own hands
My own deeds, the way I desire
good ideals, not just for oneself
Round and around it turns
My fate my love my hopes.

Room 88

I saw her walking out the door,
Eyes met as we took the lift,
Hands touched, when we hit the bar,
I asked her out, that was her gift.
Went for a drive by sea and shore,
We watched the tide, I sensed a shift.
She took me to her room and said:
“Before we start, my name is Ted!”

The moral of this tale is plain to see,
Where there’s a doubt, retreat hastily.
