In Seventh Heaven

Happy is you
                who facilitate
                                  to be felicitated
In the future
                   because
                                you manufacture
Better things which
                                 will push
                                                some folks
                          to sing
meaningful
                   songs
                            which
                                   they did not think.

Seventh Heaven 007

7/5/21
"Seventh Heaven (007)"

According to local legend
Regarding the Great Depression
And Armageddon

Nearing seventh heaven
Still on that 007
Sent him and her toward hell or heaven
Close to or far from a 711
At approximately 11:07

En route and hot pursuit
Of the root of the absolute
Yet it always leads to a dispute
Staying ready to shoot
If need be leave thee scene and scoot

Many quick to snoop
And toot their own horn or flute
Quick to call another uncouth

Acceptance or rebuke
It's the truth
Not a spoof or fluke
And what they dilute
Able or couldn't compute
Therefore it was a bloop

Since a youth
In and out the booth
Occasionally having a drink with Vermouth

In space with a spacesuit
On earth eating grapes and grapefruit
Had a baseball card of Babe Ruth
As an addict
Still at it
Or gave it the boot

A world full of kooks
Threatening to nuke
The cycle continues to loop

They don't but they should be addressing me as the Duke
But they continue to stoop
Staying solo or in a group
Never really getting the inside scoop
Because they're being duped

Seventh Heaven

A cruise sails into blueness of a vast bosom, open,
at thirty thousand feet, gossamer clouds in motion.
Gliding underneath, on wings of albatross in ocean,
airplane whooshes high from a world of commotion.

Busy on laptop, client meetings, urgent at eleven.
Leave of five days fun, so many gifts to be given.
Carrying sick dad to anxiety, unknown destiny written,
Nine starless clouds strewn, is this the seventh heaven?

I plunged headfirst, my silly stilted pride

          The instant I beheld your Cheshire smile

                    And dancing in a frame of summer blond

          The gold-specked umber iris of your eyes

From first hellos until this breath I draw

          Your heart has thrummed as if my very own

                    Despite the snares and distances ... of life.

~ 2nd Place ~ in the "Seven Lines Of Romantic Heaven" Poetry Contest, Silent One, Sponsor. The truly ironic thing is that I met my first true love on July 7, 1977, and the "luckiest" number for both of us was seven.

Just Enjoy the Seventh Heaven

J-ust enjoy the seventh heaven,
E-cstasy and pure delight;
R-elieve the loneliness
O-r the darkness of
N-ight.

P-leasure, fun and rapture,
E-nd the sadness and pain;
P-ressure has just turned
I-nto smile that shall remain.
T-wenty-first morn in May makes your mind and heart open;
O-n this special moment, just enjoy the seventh heaven.

Seventh Heaven In the Sky

S-eventh heaven in the sky,
A-fter the dark clouds fade;
L-ivid clime turns into nice
V- iew that God has made.
A-ugust sixteenth early morn,
D-awn has just broken;
O-verwhelming rapture
R-emains the same in the open.

N-ight cold chill is over,
A-nother warm day has begun;
V-ile weather has turned kind
A-nd has yielded to the sun.
R-emembering you in cloud nine
R-eleases the pain and cry;
O-pen your heart to the million mirth, seventh heaven in the sky.

Seventh Heaven

J-ust go to seventh heaven,
O-ver there you'll find fun;
A-nother dawn has broken,
N-ight shadows are all gone.
N-ew light starts to shine, burning bright in the sky;
A-fter the dark has passed, sun will rise so very high.

B-ehold the seventh heaven,
A-mazing beauty you can see;
N-o more aches and sorrow
A-s well as tears but ecstasy.
D-ay three in June morn
E-arly mist fades in the open;
R-apture remains in you
A-s you feel the seventh heaven.

Keep your head up high always
Always look up to heaven in time and space
His love looks down upon you
Down upon you radiating all around
Around you His creation
Creating new beings with His loving grace
Sanctified with His spirit

Move me softly like Tai Chi
Harmonize my limbs and let them glide with style
Connect my body and soul
Focus my mind with heavens touch of pure grace
Create in me a balance
Uplift my head and coordinate my steps
As the swan flies—let me glide
