Premium MemberLove, Lubricant Of The Soul, Emollient Of The Heart

Love is the lubricant of the soul and the emollient of the heart, both
Unguent and viscous, it glides like butter in the summer heat
Banish it from your life and suddenly everything will dry up, like a
Rose wilting by winter's call. Lubricate love with a sense of purpose
Invite joy to sit at your table and oil your dreams with hope.
Care for your inner self and nurture your mind and body....
A lubricant made of peace and forgiveness can reduce friction
Nature has a way of polishing and moisturizing the mind and
Truth be told, gratitude can be the greatest lubricant of them all.

Theatre

Theatre

Something happens I can't explain
It feels enclosed quite like a train
Within its wall you are truly set free
To be yourself or who you want to be It's like, let's pretend, or dressing up
Childlike feelings, they fill your cup
Escaping, distracting the daily grind
You can leave your worries all behind
Rehearsing, sets and stage lights
The anticipation of opening nights
A team feeling for those not so sporty
Rare chance for adults to act naughty
A sense of purpose shared with all
Commitment, a time to stand up tall
Drama, thriller, it is always a farce
Mischief and tears, acting an ****
If you act with respect to all around
A home from home is easily found
In our theatres, dreams come true
This beautiful place is open to you.

Please disregard that I'm a dog.
I've been asked to write this monologue
by my owner.  What was he thinking?
Maybe he has been out drinking.

I always try to be there for him,
though I can't use a typewriter, Jim.
Sometimes, I wish he'd feel the same way
when I want to walk or play.

To his girlfriend, he says something dumb,
and I'm right there to console the bum,
and when he screws up bad, at work,
I make him forget his troubles - the jerk.

A shrink would charge a hundred bucks.
I help him for a dog biscuit, shucks.
It's not in my nature to refuse
this poor guy who's so confused.

I know the reason life is for -
a good game of fetch or tug-of-war,
and, I admit, when it comes to those,
he's fun to play with, I suppose.

He gives me a sense of purpose.
Heck, I love him, glad to be of service.
In conclusion, I think you'll agree
that I exemplify loyalty.

That, friend, is my little poem,
about me and master...let's not show 'im.
For a dog, a poem is pretty tough.
Next time, I'll just say, "ruff ruff ruff ruff".

Rhythm and Flow

I let my pen guide me, as I pour out my soul
In this poem, I find solace, to be a form of art.

It's a way to make sense of this crazy world
To find meaning in the chaos, to be unfurled
In the rhythm and flow of each verse
I find peace, a sense of purpose

So here I am, with this poem in hand
A piece of me, that I hope you'll understand
For in these words,

The stage is set, the mic is on
The spotlight shines, all eyes upon
The poet pouring their soul out loud
A shared experience, in the crowd

To break free from the chains of society
And speak our truth with complete propriety

With each breath and every pause
The emotions rise, like a raging cause
Weaving tales of love, pain, and hope
A journey through life on an invisible rope

I have weathered storms,
and fought through the night,
For I know that within me,
Lies an unbreakable might.

Winter Girl

My winter girl
Forever filled with light on darker days
And my mind sees your hand in mine
Before we cross a parking lot
In the mud and the snow
With a constant sense of purpose
To always do the thing
That needs to be done
Before we lose the day
And that look that always knows me
In all the ways the world doesn’t know
Just breaks away the cold
Like your mother's fever
On the day that you were born
Still lives inside your bones
And warms the world
My winter girl

WISDOM

Wisdom.

Wisdom, my beautiful sister,
take over me completely and filter out the dross,
i know there is a painful blockage,
that`s holding in a sense of loss.

Be it from rejection, the orphan spirit too,
a generational curse or bloodline covernant
a painful lifelong emptiness
God i give it to you.

Insecurity,people pleasing,angry at my past,
Wisdom open me up and release me from the stigma outcast.

Breakdown after breakdown, an effort being me,
no sense of purpose nor belonging nor any identity,
Wisdom you know everything, i cast this on to you,
My Lord my GOD, give me the strength to see this through.

Premium MemberWho I Am

salty edges, sing like the melodies of angels, seeking the heart, believing in the light who abides, so alive, singing grace, burning up the past and restoring the soul with faith... by poet

              Woman of hope
Willing to listen, to pray, praise
Filled with a sense of purpose, believer
        Woman of faith, sincere
A heart who knows the meaning of grace, God’s best gift
A soul who casts off me, to say YES, to Jesus
Woman of light, shines through my eyes
More alive when I’m giving, for that is living

              My mother’s child
Willing to share, to play, to stay
Filled with joy because I know God’s true love
        My spirit has been blessed
My heart sincerely believes in her wildest dreams
My soul agrees that His love is alive and well
My story is written in tears
Poetry, salted by feelings flowing through me

What do we see

Look at me as I lay dying here
The biological functions shutting down
The heart rapidly slowing to a still
The windows to my soul closing for the final time
What do you see?

A life lived with positivity and hope
A sense of purpose clear and true
To make a better life and world for my children
To nurture a future for a thriving human race

As I watch you slowly dying
The biological functions shutting down
The heart rapidly slowing to a still
The windows to your soul closing for the final time
What do I see?

We may come from different lives
We may be different genders
Our race and creed may suggest disparity
But we really are the same

Our bodies work the same
Irrespective of our colour or religion
Our hopes, our goals, our desire for future
Are for continuance, for betterment

Don't watch me slowly die
Dispassionate for the loss
I won't watch you slowly die
And turn my head without compassion
Our intrinsic value infinite

To make our children's world
A place they can live and thrive
They need to know and understand
We are at our core just the same

Beneath the Chill

Although I seem quiet and calm
A storm is raging within me
My silence hides fears, deep and strong
Like a duck - smooth on the surface
Underneath? Paddling with a sense of purpose

Each day, I grapple with inner chaos
My heart cries out in silence
Unheard by others
Battling waves of uncertainty and agony
I strive to hold it all together, even as I fall apart

You might not see the war within
Where hope and fear play strings
My calm persona is a mask I wear
Hiding screams I cannot share
In this quiet, ceaseless fight
I am drowning, far from everyone

Premium MemberDog Days

Sunlight in a blue sky
Dapples in and out of cottony grey clouds
Warming then soothing in turn
Two retiring humans under a tree
Amid a hundred shades of green
As a large yellow monarch
The king of insects
Glides and flutters by
With a sense of purpose and delicate grace
In perfect juxtapose.

Premium MemberI AM FIRST -

Profoundly in retrospect signs of embracing a mindset and values in a piece self-awareness and spiritual connection over material possessions and external sources of happiness

my inner self needs no trappings
 so no physical bliss
I am content in myself
 before energy is only free
 with it beyond
The vessel to spiritual energy
 I am first

A sense of liberation as I'm transcending the need for physical comfort or external validation seems to be tapping into a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment that come from God I recognition it's that the true essence extends beyond the physical body and that spiritual energy is unfettered by materialistical constraints it's a beautiful expression of spiritual awareness and inner freedom I am not my flesh

Detox

The quiet moments
Of my day
Reveal the words
I'd love to say

More in the wings
Than headline star
Not quite goodbye
More au revoir

No end, just waiting
At the start
The work horse
Eager for a cart

A sense of purpose
Nowhere to wander
DNR
For first responder

It's kind of weird
This sense of loss
Yet beautiful
Above the dross

The ache a pill
Just can't restore
Quite satisfied
Yet wanting more

Suppose it's Time
Our ancient friend
Who walks us home
'Til healings end

While head is full
Of hopes and oughts
Addictive you
Pervades my thoughts

Premium MemberGive Me More Time

The crossroads of life
Help develop a sense of purpose
On what really matters the most
Time is now
The most precious moments are you still here
Balancing a day of love and happiness
That holds dear to your heart
Only to disappear
The moment time passes you by
Having regrets
Only to spurn them into your own path
Leading you into a better place
Forgiving your own soul
Understanding the pain and suffering
Forging the truth of your past
Showing you how much you have changed
Knowing you are not alone
Helping others to make better decisions
Choosing what is most important
Giving us all more time

Premium MemberIf I Could Be

If l could be an object
A lighthouse l would be
Steadfast , strong, independent
Guardian and keeper of the sea

A solitary proud yet humble figure
Weathering mother natures seasons
Never faltering of its purpose
Or questioning its reason

Reliable and reassuring
A towering pillar so stately
Guiding souls of the sea home
Back to land and safety

A powerful beacon of light
One of hope and aid
Knowing but forever silent
An endless sense of purpose unswayed

Premium MemberTreasure Kindness Scheme

Kindness is a treasure map, a guide to find
Those who struggle to stand, burdened by their minds
Those who suffer afflictions, tormented by idle hands
Whose hearts ache with loneliness and long for a friend.

Kindness leads us to those who need a helping hand.
To the elderly, the sick, and those who cannot stand
It opens doors to those who seek a punter life.
And helps to ease the pain of those in strife.

With kindness as our guide, we bear a difference.
In the lives of those who struggle with persistence
We can bestow hope to those who feel despair.
And show them that someone out there truly cares.

So let us follow the treasure map of kindness.
And avail those in need with love and selflessness.
In doing so, we too will find a treasure.
A sense of purpose and joy that cannot be measured.
