“How are you doing?”… (sigh)… “Busy”… we hear and say it all the time
Wearing our busyness as a badge of honor while stuck in the grind
Why are we are always moving like we have somewhere else to be
Perpetually pushing forward as the world swirls under our feet
We constantly craft our calendars only to arrive at those moments
To realize our happiness is still lacking the necessary components
Constantly spinning our wheels without stopping to ask our destination
Maybe it is time to consider updating our mode of transportation
Swapping the future for the present to stop scheduling and lean into today
Savoring the slices of life that are on our plate right now that will soon go away
Realizing that joy already resides closer to home than we think
But make sure to catch it though since it will be gone in a blink

I’ve created a void that
I somehow can’t fill.
Distancing myself from love
Of my own free will.
With the best of intentions
And a thoughtful life plan
I jumped into this new year
Ready to finish what I can.
Scheduling tactics for my
Classes weren’t there
Leaving no holes in my
Week for those who needed care.
My job days are filled
With both full and part-time
The hours left open for us
Are rare and quite prime.
I know you say you
Understand when I go.
But I can’t help but feel
I have let you down so.
I promise I’ll finish with
These classes, these two,
Then all those days will
Be for us, just me and you.
For my skin - hidden blood
Abandons neighbouring feeding forest
Dumping the nearby, friendly gutter
After a heavy washing flood
Hijacks long sleep and short rest
Forcing us to malevolent curses utter
With all manner of men getting into trouble
Who attack it with strength, a bubble;
Not infrequently phoning their nurses
And for insecticides, unzipping their purses.
Spared not also by The Saints,
Though its killing their images taints;
On it hipping a hurt's abuse,
All the time emptying the refuse.
Simply the handiwork of pin - sharp proboscis
Justifying uttered obscenities or Holy Moses!
In the late nights
A scheduling of sure flights,
With its sleep - verifying song
That does us a great wrong.
Scheduling time for you
out of their own convenience.
holding your past against you.
I know how you feel.
feeling trapped
whenever they are around.
discrediting your dreams and abilities.
lying to you more than once.
their negativities rubbing off on you.
excessively envious of what you have.
motivating you to be judgmental.
encouraging you to be hateful.
wanted you to be someone else
besides your divine self.
you must recognize bad company!
SCHEDULING ALLOWED FOR THOSE
WHO WERE FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF A
GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO MEET AND GREET A LEGEND
SOMEONE WHO HAS TRANSMITTED THE LEVELS
OF STARDOM.
"SUMBODY YOU AIN'T SHAMED TO LOVE"
IS WHAT
SOME OF THE CROWD CHANTED"
BACKSTAGE I HEARD THESE TWO GUYS TALKING.
FIRST GUY... I SAW HIS YESTERDAY
OR MAYBE THE DAY BEFORE

SAID HE MEET A NEW LADY
SOMEONE WHO MEETS HIS NEEDS
SHE LIKES WHAT I LIKE
AND THINKS JUST LIKE ME
I AIN'T TRY'NA PLAY HER

LOVING HER.

AND THE SAME STATION!
The seawater rushes inland at the height of the tides.
It is the lateness of the day the moon begin its rise.
Morning sun takes out the seawater and start its decline.
Studies by astronomers note the ascent and decline.
The position of the sun and moon, fluctuates the tides.
Predictions will ascertain the water table to rise.
Scheduling sporting events whenever the water rise.
Have those not inclined, to venture further when in decline.
Higher water levels are flood tides, lower are ebb tides.
The level of the tides, when the moon rise, and sun decline.
" OFTEN THEY THOUGHT IT PRUDENT TO
LET PEOPLE KNOW WHICH WAY THEIR WORLD WOULD BE.
SOME OF THOSE WHO SAID IN CONCERT
AFTER THE WORDS WERE REHERSTED, AND THE MUSIC SET IN PLACE
AFTER THE CLOTHES WERE CHOSEN,
AND FITTED TO EACH PERSON, AFTER THE
TIME AND DATES WERE PLANNED
AND ALL THE SCHEDULING DONE,
WHEN THE INVITATIONS WENT OUT
FOR THOSE PEOPLE YOU JUST WANT TO HEAR YOU
AND THEN WHEN THE TICKET SALES REQUEST FOLK
THAT LOVE YOUR SOUND, OR WANT
TO GET TO KNOW WHAT YA'LL DOING.
THOSE NIGHTS BEFORE THE SHOW.
THOSE DAYS BEFORE THE SHOW.
THE ACTUAL SHOW.
THOSE PEOPLE WHO DO THE WORK.
THOSE WHO KNOW WHATS GOING ON.
AND THOSE WHO MAKE THESE HAPPEN.
AFTER THE PARTY'S
AND DURING THE PARTY.
THOSE WOMAN WHO LOVE YOU.
AND THOSE ONE'S WHO JUST WANNA BANG AND GET SUM.
LOVE LIKE TOMORROW'S NEVER GONNA LET YOU DO-IT AGAIN.
THAT BEING FAMOUS BABY!
THAT'S WHAT MAKES IT WORTHY OF DOING IT ALL OVER AGAIN !"

Changing Time a Funny Thing
By Franklin Price
3/7/2018
Changing time a funny thing
A lot to think about
Easily an oddity
We need to figure out
In Spring an hour forward
In the middle of the night
When two A.M. turns into three
The timing could be right
Whatever we have started
As the clock's at one five nine
Will easily end after three
For bragging rights is fine
In Fall when time is turning back
And two returns to one
Depending, what was started,
Could end before begun
I see the wheels are turning
As you finished up this rhyme
In Spring or Fall your scheduling
Makes the best of daylight time
Sometimes it's not easy to take the time to pray
We run off with our scheduling, out into the day
We can't take the time, we're running late
The bills are overdue
So prayer gets set aside, with more important things to do
So its off to work or off to school, perhaps a manicure
And grocery shopping's on the list, that's a must for sure
But on the way to Walmart an un-expected flash
And somewhere out of no-where, you end up in a crash...
Life is fading from you, like sand from an hour glass
And now your seeing visions, of your busy past
At first you see the bright lights and someone calls your name
your not sure at this point...hoping that your sane
Then all appears as dark...and you feel a sense of loss
And somewhere now in all of this your mind takes you to a cross
Where on a hill way back in time, the Savior died for you
And then a still small voice is heard...seek me and I'll bring you through
All at once your eyes are opened....you see the light of day
And at that moment, their are tears...It's not Too Late To Pray
The sights and sounds around us fill our heart with delights...
It's been another one of those glorious, fun and family nights.
We like to get together every month or so...
But sometimes scheduling is difficult because
everyone is on the go.
But family nights are important because it keeps us in the
mix...
And sometimes a family squabble we are able to fix.
It's fun to watch the grandkids as they grow each
and every day...
And they have learned that grandparents know how
to have fun and play.
It's good to keep connected as we live our busy lives...
But it's really encouraging to see the growth and maturity
as it is developing in the husbands and wives.
The sights and sounds around us fill our hearts with delights...
Three cheers for those glorious family nights.
Good food, great fellowship, and memories galore...
Family nights are what these precious moments are for.
TK<
So let us have our laugh;
it is enough for just a moment
sacrificed to force belief
that somewhere an intangible
divinely-ordered plan exists,
to which we must conform.
Dear God, give mercy to my plea
that that may not be so!
That there is little solid ground
on which free will may put down roots
already--I shall dignify
my entry with a lordly number,
cringing as I write, and beating back
a nagging, growing certainty that even
summoning a doubt is forordained.
There's no way out!
We all are hypocrites, and must
expunge such realistic thinking
as we write our grocery lists
and then assign them slots
within our silly days in order
just to fortify our flesh
and those elusive pleasure centers
lurking there among our bones.
But thoughts are stubborn.
They keep coming back, reminding me
of their entitlement. My to do lists
are perishable--reality is not.
Even consciousness, I read,
may plod ahead of me
long past mortality.
And I remain advisedly
a happy cog in a machine
of some beneficent monstrosity
I'll never comprehend.

Tick Tick Sit Wait.
Left to ponder, left to rebuild.
A cut so deep, it cant be healed.
Forced to change, forced to adapt.
Does love change, inevitable trap.
A love thats lost, an answer to choose.
A scheduling conflict, an unfaithful excuse.
Deception, lies, and wrongful blame.
Powerful hurt extinguishes the flame.
Plentiful candles, fireworks and clocks.
Time to reset, uncover matchbox.
Tick Tick Sit Wait.
time seems sometimes to stand so still
and seems to have raced by while I was spending it
I now have a rather large and growing collection
of un fulfilled dreams
I tell myself it's a minor scheduling problem
I can't believe it yet
It saves time
worrying how much is left
