Premium MemberHappy New Year-2025

Where’s twenty-twenty four
Standing by the door
Ready to leave
Would you believe?
Another annual cycle is done
Completing three hundred sixty-five day run
Fifty-two-week span
Now inserted into the time capsule can
Events remembered
January to December
Moments treasured
Memories pressured
Take the good with the bad
Happy and sad
There were tears
Cheers
Nothing fear
Going to twenty-twenty five
Healthy and alive
Starting with bitter cold
Quarter term getting old
Half way home
Heat tans our skin tone
Then the crispy air
Fall we will share
Once again together we will fight
Freezing temperatures with a bite
Since the next chapter will be here soon
Circling the sun and moon
Monitoring rotations on the clock
Never stopping the tick and tock
As it makes another lap around the anniversary block
Do we say good riddance? My dear,
Or just grabbed the new aged barley beer
For the traditional good luck toast
Before digging into the reason for the New Year’s roast

I bid summer a fond farewell today
Months have sped by and now it is Autumn
Seasonal rotation will not delay
What can I say? Mother Nature, awesome
An Indian summer might surprise us
More warm days would certainly be a plus
Hibernation calling am on the cusp.

Last hurrah before cold winter arrives
Baltic conditions compromise the sun
When old bones ache I ask: will I survive?
Frozen ground, brittle air, icicles spun
Long, cold wait until the season does turn
Safe underground on my soft bed of fern
Spring flowers uplift, silently I yearn..

Premium MemberPolarity Rotation

No different from an earthworm,
in our own way, we likewise squirm,
day after day, engaged in strife,
frittering away gift of life,
for what we pursue is fleeting,
yet heart’s desire keeps on bleating,
shifting from object to object,
until from this game we eject
our attention, looking inward,
rejecting cravings untoward,
poised in the void, tranquil and still,
surrendered fully to God’s will,
which entails vibrant nonchalance,
love aligned, head-heart in balance,
imbibing thus, the bliss current,
by being here and now present.

Premium MemberSun Rotation But No Sun Rise

Life, like the sun, doesn't reverse itself.
Hold on to the shards for dear life.

Breaking the pattern of habit governed predictability futile since the deliberate doing lacking spontaneity. Yet the twist wherein we cease to resist becoming the causation for exiting stuporous stagnation. Freedom found in pulsating bliss elation. Within.

No identity
Past conditioning recedes
Dusk becomes our dawn

Patches of snow sprinkled on the leaves
Lay on the hill climbed many times
And I wonder how many scenes
Have been kept safely in memory
Through seasons of visions and thoughts
Whether it be with chill or with warmth

Bare trees revealing the sky’s beauty
Opening up the distant views
Or trees in full bloom with close up color
Later fallen like paper under the snow
In rotation of scenes captured
On the hill that has quietly frozen

As if sleeping, waiting to be seen and heard
In the slow dripping, melting of spring
In this wonder of momentary silence
Except for the crackling of leaves,
I remember in a cold breath of fresh air
How winter begins, on the hill

Premium MemberRotation of the Earth

I read somewhere
That the world turns
Right on a dime
And the seas move
Upwards and downwards
Through the moon's power
With its great gravity
And single handed might
Slumber of the night
Prosperous is its desires
To sleep onwards throughout
Lifting tiredness away
Around we go
Living by night and day
Caring not its glory
Weighing not its humbleness
Let time persist to say
Live free each and every day
And let only the sun and the moon
Dictate the value of your life

Rotation

Sleep well in Winter, my beloved earth
While eagerly I await the birth
             Of Spring.

Bring forth new life then watch it grow
From tender shoots and fragile blooms
To summer's wealth of richest hues.

Prepare your Autumn bounty
      To nourish my body
      And renew my soul

               Then

Sleep well in Winter, my beloved earth
While eagerly I await the birth
             Of Spring
