If there was an alien in my bushes
I would not call the police
They'd commit me
If it was real
or not real
I would not approach it
All those movies with humans
being friendly to aliens
What if it had a contagious disease
or spat acid that melted my skin
Maybe it would hump my leg
or throw up on my carpet
I already have a dog that does that
No Sir, I'd leave it be
for someone else to see.
She's looking for Mr. Right,
While he's looking for Miss Right.
Both of them seeking for 'The One'.
She lives on the western side,
While he stays on the east side --
They don't cross paths under the Sun.
She goes to church on Sundays,
Does good works and sings and prays
"Dear Lord, please help me find the One".
He's in a congregation, the same denomination,
That meets on the other side of town.
So she decided to look
For some kind of 'self help' book -
She did not want to spend any money.
Reading was his best hobby,
And they met inside the lobby
Of the local town library.
They both walked to the section
Of books on self-direction,
And both reached for the same book.
"Go ahead and take it." He said.
"No, but you were here first" she said.
"Why don't we read it together?".
A conversation started -
Since then they never parted -
Mr. and Mrs. Right forever.
If you'd be someone's Mr. Right,
Try to be your very best you.
And if you'd be someone's Miss Right,
The same advice goes for you.
Get an education to be interesting,
Develop a warm personality.
Exercise, eat less, be appealing.
Involve the LORD and visit the library.
Ignorance, confidence you need--
Just two things in life to succeed.
Mark Twain said this long back
Of crackpots on one track,
Here’s Trump, out to prove Mark Twain’s creed--
He, whose ignorance vies
With his confident lies,
Chickens out in the end indeed!

There is paint painted on me
It is a kind of paint that whose pigment can dust
And cause a different kind of stain on you
If and when;
You glide on me,
You lean on me,
And colide with me.
I keep myself away because of that difference
So as to avoid such kind of confusion
"You treasure what's yours but again confuse it"
Eager to prove me wrong but will you believe me?
Give ears to listen to the different kind of story!
The story that makes my paint that way.
Will you distinguish and help me see
If there's that I don't see that I should
Yet you shouldn't always expect that
"There must be something you see that I do not"
The truth is You never know whether I looked further
Further than your eyes made there sight
"We are the same" but, "just made different"
Though even so
How much can you make up from those two statements
"We are the same" but, "just made different"
Or is it that I am the foolish one and,
Don't deserve to sit amongst you
Just because I have a different opinion.
I was meant to soar
your love is smothering slowly killing me
~ won't you set me free

The left’s declared war on the right
The right’s declared war on the left
When they finish with each other
In the center aught will be left
I'm refusing to lose hope
there's rising evil in this idyllic world

My pen just writes
My dog just bites
My wife just fights
And I just might
Decide everything’s alright.
Empty Nest, 2025
Life didn’t quite yield that plight
Because the pen barely writes
The pups play fight
The kids grew height
Were polite
And actually bright
The wife’s a delight
Most days and nights
My life might be trite,
And I’m good with this slight rewrite.
The core tenant of the far right
Is simply
That everyone is treated equally
Simply because
Everyone is just another individual.

The world today is amazing
Simply because the Right is right
While the Left is just out
In Left field
Preaching to the ever dwindling crowd.
Who does the Right support?
Everyone who supports the Rule of Law.
Who does the Left support? Criminals.
And why? Who the hell knows,
But it probably has something
To do with equality.
Not equality under Rule of Law
But quality of result, regardless of means.

In the meadow, a tragedy befell
a mother butterfly by a wishing well.
She'd wished for a son who could fly all crooked,
but a witch's curse prevailed, so wicked.
Her firstborn had the preposterous trait
of flying up and staying straight.
I built my home high up in a giant oak tree
two kookaburras and an owl lived next to me
the day birds chattered all morning, conversation bright
hoot owl kept up a continuous hooting throughout the night
an orangutan moved in showing off his big red butt
I could not ignore it, so moved down to a hut
saw the shadow of a lion through my tent one night
moving to a houseboat tomorrow, trying to get it right
