Riding in the Back seat

moonlight turns raindrops
into snow globes on windows
reflections of us
late night driving in the rain
drowsy eyes drop into sleep

window cracked, white noise 
lights flickering through the rain
my eyes flutter closed

Riding the Rails Alone

Clickety-clack, clickety-clack, 
The engine is screaming down a rusted track,
Steel hearts thunder, my nerves are blue-black.
Chasing ghosts that never look back.
Flirting with the man in black,
Laughing as the signals crack,
Riding high through shaking trees,
Drenched in a flood of old memories.

Stations blur past, the clock hands slide
On and on, we go, we're tracking the guide.

Riding The Bus

Your mood changes depending on the time of day
In the morning most are restless with nothing to say
In the afternoon that when the annoyance starts
With loud school kids and drunks from liquor marts
You try your best not to give too much eye contact
It's loud cell phone conversations behind your back

Twisted

Little Red Riding Hood took a lunch
to her grandma who liked to munch
Riding Hood liked to play like waiter
until Wolf spied her and then ate her.

Little Bo Peep had trouble with sheep
They'd follow grass. "Stop it," she'd peep.
One got lost, causing Bo to sniff:
"That's it!" and pushed all over cliff.

Cinderella got dressed for the dance

ROAD TRIP

Let us take a road trip,
now off with bags and zip.
Snow covers the wide road,
no grass here to be mowed.
