The Psychopomp's Embrace

"The Psychopomp’s Embrace"

No judgement
from the fallen

unseen angels
credited
with scores to
safely harbour
lost passing ships
that crush souls
in dark night
ferrying love
the precious token
of graces sorely paid,
the return, a prayer
for the wild at heart
kept in cages
delivered
by the
sublime
in misty
stages

rushing across
deep reflective pools
like hushed mirrors
echo tears
that drop
like pearls
embroidered
on the satin lips
warmth like
watered ink
slowly seeping,
the coolness
softly touched
by a burning kiss
drinking recompense
in, forever in,
across a blank unlit canvas
then, without warning,
upward motion the
darkness kisses closed
the windows
on those sleepwalking
suede convincing eyelids,
no time to speak
no more talking

crushed violets
and silver ultra
messages marked
by unseen fingers
walking along the
cool satin plains
of a throat that
no longer sings
nor breathes
but allows
escape for
revenant
soul to live,
to spark

an aura turns
inward
to embrace
the dark
Psychopomp’s Grace

and through the
mirrors lost
knights come
riding through
two and two

the higher self,
shatters the mirror

leaves the web
leaves the loom

“Distant singing is heard.
Ghostly voices become audible:
fragments of lectures remembered,
the finely distilled wisdom and passion
of seers and poets
with which the modern young mind
is tempered for the world that blows it to pieces.”
Tennessee Williams, Stairs to the Roof

Premium Member Bells

The old white wooden church,
stood tall upon a tree lined mountain.
The winding dirt road,
lead us up each Sunday morning.
The big bells would sing out loud,
calling all to come and pray.
On our wedding day once again,
the big bells would sing~I love you.
Years would pass with good and bad,
this time the big bells sing for a funereal.
I remember all the snow covered Christmas's,
we took our bright red sleigh to church.
Riding in our sleigh was so much fun,
gliding over the snow as the bells would ring out.
We would sing along to the bells,
our many favorite church songs.
We have moved far away,
oh how we miss those singing bells.

Death

"The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives
fully is prepared to die at any time." ~Mark Twain

Life’s greatest mystery is
Death –
    It’s not God,
      It’s not Soul,
        It’s not the heavens
           nor the laws of Nature.

Death is omnipresent and omnipotent,
At once personal and universal,
It’s an absolute and irrevocable experience.

The inevitable end to life,
The only sanctuary
from the rigors of life;
The final destination to life’s journey,
No matter which way you traverse
you are bound to end up dead.

Life is like riding a horse
Without you holding the reins
or your feet in the stirrups,
Like driving a car
Without your hands on the wheels
or your foot on the brakes;
It’s like taking a roller coaster ride over
a route of steep inclines and sharp turns
with the prospects of all the thrills
and the heart-stopping descent.

Death is life’s greatest miracle
Your only road to salvation,
A portal to the soul’s
ultimate metamorphosis—
the only way getting back home.

Give me death any time
for life exacts harsh wages,
Life, for once, will abandon you;
But death,
Ha, death! will always stand by you.

Faith Moves

cherishing the days i've learned to say,
it doesn't matter what you say or do i love you anyway,
we all say prove your love...prove it! prove it!,
while we ignore the heart unless we can move it,
show me, and if you can't it must not be real,
a misconception of the heart that needs proof to reveal,
some can run a race with full strength and full speed,
while others were meant to be on the side to plant the seed,
just because you cannot see, doesn't mean their hearts not in action,
but because our society needs proof to believe...this is their reaction,
behind closed doors, their service is mindful, a heart only God can see,
their heartful prayers resignate to the throne of God with tears of love and compassionate pleas,
an excuse not to move,,,,,No! not at all,
in HIS season, we answer HIS call,
HIS que, HIS spirit riding us through,
all of a sudden, HIS wind passes through,
with faith to believe,,,this is no dream,
the love of HIS faith is a reality!

Fickle Fickle - For Every Man in a Pickle

Fickle fickle…. Broads are fickle
Get a man into a pickle
Sweet talk sweet talk…. Yes they tickle
Treat us lower than a nickle

Chat up chat up does belie
Gives us bites of ego pie

Flirty flirty… grows the storm
Disappears like the norm

Riding riding is her wave
Naughty naughty to her grave

Touch up touch up where she can
Making sure that he’s a man

Swish and sway, what a sight
Thinking she is dynamite

Tries to see how far he’ll go
Gets to third base, she says no

Fickle fickle, fizzle…. Strop
Mess with me, I’ll make you stop.

Premium Member She Dreamt Again

In her darken dreams again
Just like shes had before
Riding a jet black stallion
Naked from the clothes she wore

In the repetition of her dreams
She has never been alone
For the same two knights on horseback
Are following in her roam

They ride into a clearing
And always up ahead
It's the running of a child
Is she alive or is she dead

She gallops up beside her
A girl so young and blond
Carrying a beautiful flower
Once again has she gone beyond

She leans down to grab her
Screaming she can not reach
She was just about to touch her
As she awakens from her sleep

Does this have a hidden meaning
Has she known this girl before
For every time she reaches out
She gets closer than before

The Rise of the Silent

The rise of the silent
We have come all the way from the darkness,
The one wise men call blindness.
With axes, hoes, we are paving the way,
And our hands aren’t down until there is a way.
We aren’t scared of the lions that roar,
We are the fearless hunters of justice and liberty,
The seekers of equality and humanity:
The quests our old folks failed to complete.

We shall go up in the sky;
We shall dig deep into the ground,
We shall break all the rocks,
We shall go beneath the lakes,
We shall set flames in the wilderness,
We shall bring mountains down.

Steeply the hill we are riding;
Stony the road we are walking
Dark the forest we are hiking
Far the home we shall arrive
For we are like soldiers marching to the war,
With the only one command to go
To the deadly field of woe
We have left our fears of terror behind
To rescue the captives of injustice
To fight for what our folks fought for
And all our heroes died for.

Now let light fight the darkness;
Let the speakers fight the speechless,
Let the dead and the live march to the battle field
Let us sow the seeds we were left with to sow
Let shackles on every man’s hands break
Let every foot rise and stand
Let every mouth rise and speak
Let every tongue speak justice and liberty
Let justice rise and live for eternity
Let the voices be hard from Bwera to Busia
From Mutukula to Amuru
Lift every voice and cry justice.

Raging Ubri

While riding down a dark roads Satan tried to intervene and capture your soul, Little did he know when he tried to take you from us that you were designed with a solid body and a Warriors Soul.

Although you were battered and bruised that still didn't stop you from trying to push yourself up off ground, pulling out I.V drips refusing to lay down.

While under heavy sedation the Almighty guided the hands of the surgeons to repair you internally so that you may rise and roam with us again laughing in the devils face making him frown.

You're a Man full of humor yet a fighter at your core, A Father to your Children, A true friend to many and loved by all, In this definite time of need your Most Wanted Family will make sure that recuperate with peaceful ease not letting you crumble and fall.

Heal with speed Alex Rage Ubri.

Premium Member Ocean Sands

The wet smooth sands shift, as we stroll along
While hands clasp by evening's riding tide
The long red sky hears each gliding bird's song
As your soft silhouette n' sky doth clash collide

In quiet motion, love loses all space and time
As our lips warmly join together a silent spell
To bright for sun's array, she fades to sleep
As moon awakes the rays, of tender keep

And both remain abandoned to the shore
To find the realm that lover's shall confess
With hands still clasped eyes they now explore
As hungry kisses gentle still caress

Grains feel wet yet cool, between our hands
And the elixir of love is light, like ocean sands

Me Little Mother

She turns me around
Forty years ago
At High School graduation
And she says…
Something I can’t remember

It was probably something like,
‘Well, lookit that!’ or
‘Boy, Howdy!’ or
Some such encouragement

And… though I cannot remember it
Now, I would not part with it
For all the treasures riding
In all the ships on the sea

Music!
She gave me music!
Wagner and Mendelssohn
Beethoven and Duke
Ella Fitzgerald and Leontyne Price

But never the other stuff
Which she called ‘that crap’…

We could laugh
When my dad got angry
He was so ridiculous
Beating the air with his fists

But when MOM got angry
The house went still
Everyone like rabbits hoping to blend in

Once I said a certain word
And she slapped me so hard
That my ears rang for three days

She wasn’t going to take
Any LIP from her children
And ESPECIALLY not THAT… WORD…

Now she is on medication
That makes her loopy
Just a month after I finished
Reading her Harry Potter
With all of the voices
And it looked as though
Her cognition was improving

But her bones are soft
And her spine
It’s a good strong spine I can tell you
Is cracked in two places

She is not a candidate for surgery
So broken it will remain
Unless it heals by itself

I believe in the power of Prayer

So a heart condition
Two strokes
And a Chronic Obstructive
Pulmonary Condition
And a broken back
Are not beyond healing

Human minds though respond sometimes
Only to math
And the math
They say
Only adds up one way

But I prefer art
Which my mother gave me
And which is subject
To interpretation
Maybe this
And
Maybe that

On her last day on earth
My brother says
He will ask
Do you want to talk
About your plan?
And
He says
She will say
Why on earth would I want
To do that?
I am not going anywhere…
