When poets shall be in soup

_______________________
AI Da, the world’s first ultra realistic robot artist recently painted a 7.5 foot portrait of the English mathematician, Alan Turing, which sold for $ 1,084,800 at Sotheby’s Digital Art. An occasion to celebrate, no doubt, but doubt still lurks as this limerick depicts.
__________________________
Wow, AI artwork of Alan Turing
At over a million dollar selling!
Given to no grey mood,
AI art’s good, if crude--
And sure, if sells at price record breaking.
Yet, I shudder the day
AI Da her hands lay
Say, on digital poetry writing.
We poets of the Soup
Shall then be in real soup,
And in a coup, who’d go to bank laughing?
Now some, somewhat amiss,
Say, where’s money in this?
Ask one on way to bank, Google or Bing.

A Found Poem from the Bing Homepage

Earns record-breaking medal,
a boxer apologizes, is sad,
wins US Senate primary.

Campaign raises $138.7M,
to lay off 15% of workforce,
US launches antitrust probe.

Child sex abuse sentence,
Utah abortion ban halted,
net neutrality rules blocked.

Rain showers,
a Christian petition rebuking,
conservative attacks receive thousands.

50 icons famous after they died,
Charlamagne tha God on racial attacks,
'I don’t give a damn.'

The 1-ingredient upgrade for eggs,
complete fantasy,
a Western movie brutally assessed.

Egyptian women’s beach volleyball team,
slams French hijab ban after Olympic match,
Kamala Harris's lucky break.

You're Trying to be a Martha in a Mary World

This is no “mirror talk”
It’s a eulogy in the making
And your indecision towards everything about me is record-breaking
It’s as infinite as a galaxy but not nearly as pretty
Well everything I could want, is here with me now
Everything I could need, I’m working for right now
Well everything I could’ve needed from you
Has tasted the needle and watched it’s veins turn neon green
Already gone and foaming at the seams
At least one of my manifestations deserves to rest in peace
I’m reaiming my punch at the wall clock and not the timecard
Through the shards, I rip out the smaller hand and admire this blade I’m now wielding
And all this time I’m now saving
No “higher ups” could hear me bleeding and aching through the ticks of a nine to five
but per their message of relief, take it a minute at a time and we’ll be fine
While I’m holding this fate-crusher in my palm,
I might as well cross a few names off my list
You may see this as a fight, not even working taking
But my whole life has been an open vein and all I’ve ever done is subsist
This is no pep rally,
It’s a eulogy in the making

What can I give you?
you possess everything
in the palm of your hand
look at the stars
how they shine for you
the moon and bloom
when you walk in
my heart went "Boom!"

what can I give you?
start your quest now.
take it slow, slow, slow
deeper trust is defined.
know the way to design
it will be yours and mine.
I cherish you most.
Unlike others, a clever host.

What can I give you?
besides words,
I don't have a thing
after your tears dry
take me to your heart
for it's there that I belong
I'd give heaven to hold you
I yell it into oblivion
there is a cheery delirium.

what can I give you?
I'll take them both as true
my heartbeat is just for you
record-breaking heat
on the stand or in the street
doesn’t need a drum or beat
If you slip, I will grab you
Oh! How sweet is love?

What can I give you?
pure, pure sweetness
a pure star breeze croons
a tune that is pure and cool
love is all you want
I can give you some
thus, you must feel me
lust in the world's embrace
where love has left its trace.

Premium Member Change In the Weather

I am simply amazed at the changes in the weather
Unseasonably warm toward the end of December
We have yet to see a ground covering of snow
It hasn’t been this warm as long as I remember.

Record-breaking, the meteorologists are reporting
I’m thinking it can’t be good for the spreading virus,
When I was young at Christmas, we wanted a sled
Now, warm weather vehicles are more desirous.

I’ve heard rumors the earth is going to flip over
Do you think maybe the seasons are in reversal?
Could it be possible the impossible is coming true?
In July we’ll be having Christmas cantata rehearsal.

One thing’s for sure, we cannot control the weather
I suspect we’ve been trying to fool Mother Nature
By building in the wrong places, we ignore the facts,
Well, I’m not hedging bets on our far-distant future.

Premium Member Let's Hear It For Heat

I like heat – warm, glowing, comforting heat
From a blanket, fireplace, or wood-burning stove
I even like it from a heated automobile seat
I like heat – warm, glowing, comforting heat
Sitting around a campfire is especially neat
I like a record-breaking hot summer day, by Jove,
I like heat – warm, glowing, comforting heat
From comforter, fireplace, or wood-burning stove.

I like heat – warm, glowing, comforting heat
I even like it from a heated automobile seat
Sitting around a campfire is especially neat.
I like a record-breaking hot summer day, by Jove,
From blanket, fireplace, or wood-burning stove
Hey! I might even like hot flashes, I suppose!

Premium Member Hummingbird

While sitting on my front porch
Having my ham sandwich for lunch,
A tiny ruby-throated hummingbird
Flew past my head at lightning speed
I did think it rather strange, indeed,
For I don’t usually hummingbirds feed
Until I realized I was wearing a bright
Red shirt, which he must have taken
For a feeder, he was quite mistaken,
A speed record he was clearly breakin’.

Mason Mount-Chelsea

Mason Mount a legend in the making,
His skills are real, he is never faking,
He doesn't pass ball without thinking,
At just 22 years he is record breaking,
He always leave the defenders shaking,
A blue superstar in the making.

Alongside Kante, he plays in the middle,
His haters tongue wag with no bridle,
Infront of the goal he dares to straddle,
As sharp on the field, he is like a needle,
Confusing the defenders when he sidle,
A blue superstar in the middle.

He is creative in making those passes,
Drifts the ball wide when he possesses,
Shoots it at an angle when he crosses,
Picks a teammate who heads and scores,
A player which every Chelsea Fan adores,
A blue superstar giving passes.

Premium Member 2020 Autumn

While the earth remains, seasons will not cease.
Ah, I felt her this morning when I walked out the door.
Officially, she was due in September, but she's running a bit late.
Considering all the problems of 2020, I can't say that I blame her.

There are record-breaking hurricanes in the gulf; record-breaking
fires in the west, and politicians fighting like ragging rams for territory.
Autumn has wanted to return, but perhaps she's not so sure of herself.
Anyway, the coolness was blunt and bold, greeting me with open arms.

It appears that Summer really just might be gone, and Fall has arrived.
The haze from the smoke has lessened, and it's looking and feeling like Fall.
Presently, there's very little if any wind, and temperatures are way down,
but the weatherman indicated that the chances for rain in the valley have faded. Considering all we've been through; we'll take the best that Autumn has to offer us now.

Sonic

It all happened in a flash
Riding speedily on a ghost
Going on a daredevil ride
Into a valley no one goes.
Adrenaline surging through
My veins and into my brain.
Racing through the streets
With a continuous need to
Go even faster than normal,
I was going for a record-breaking win.
Piercing the wind and tearing it apart,
I entered a realm where
Only speed demons existed.
Almost there, I could feel my skin
Vibrating, my brain trying to keep up.
Yes! Almost there, I could see it.
Swerving a bit out of control,
I panicked! The race was over,
And so, too, were my days of riding.

Generations

The person that I've grown to be
Has rhythm in her soul.
Music shaped my life, you see
It played a central role.

The sixties made us “Twist and shout”
The Beatles held our hand.
I liked the things they sang about
They're still my favorite band.

The seventies brought us “Dancing Queen”
Led Zeppelin brought some others.
Dolly sang about “Jolene”
Michael left his brothers.

The eighties put us “Back in black"
“Purple Rain” was killer.
Michael Jackson led the pack
With record breaking “Thriller"

The nineties introduced a sound
It changed the way we sing.
Who knew Rap would stick around
What did 2000 bring?

Nickleback, Alicia Keys
Beyonce and Adele
What music will the future bring
Only time will tell.

What Are They Teaching Kids With This

Protesting protest
that’s what this be
Look and take notice
at the stupidity

On a Record breaking day
Seeing fossil fuels fade away
as reusable power the majority
we see a drop in generated bad air in society
Active steps successfully reducing pollution
Yet schools are teaching by allowing kids to protest a solution

A protest is to force change
Change is happening
these protests deranged
What’s happening?
Teaching kids this is wrong
it’s not on, what’s going on?

The 5th time schools and university protest
as what they protest is addressed
still they don’t notice, now I'm stressed.

This is what we teach kids is it,
Bloody hopeless!!!

Premium Member In the Mood

Who's sung "I'm in the Mood for Love?"
   Then again -- Who hasn't?

Who's announced, "I'm in the mood for pizza!"
   Perhaps, rather -- Who hasn't?

Who's proclaimed, "I'm in the mood for a drink or two!"
   Then again -- Who hasn't?

Who hasn't thought, "I'm in the mood for a dental appointment!"
   Perhaps, rather -- Who has?

Who hasn't felt, "I'm in the mood for a record-breaking snowstorm!"
   Then again -- Who has?

Who hasn't mused, "I'm in the mood for a lecture on discipline!"
   Perhaps, rather -- Who has?

                    **********

Who hasn't said, "I'm in the mood to go to work!"
   Then again -- Who has?
       ~ And why not?

Premium Member Go Sox 2

It is turning into an all nighter...
Each world series team turn into a fighter
Thirteenth inning and the game still going
Hits, slides and exciting ball throwing
A hurt player, still brings in a run
Putting the Red Sox ahead by one
It is after 1 AM with excitement and fun
Go Sox, for this game to be won! :)

Now, it is after 2AM and time to write more!
A record breaking game with a tie score!
As a home run distance hit just made
But too far to the right, as the crowd does fade
It would have been the winner run for LA
6 hours and 25 minutes into this today!
We are now into the 16th inning!
Still waiting to see who will be winning!
Onward we go...with this historic game.
I hope you enjoy the highlights, just the same

Finalization:

The longest series game ended 18 innings long
Both teams kept up the challenge all along
Dodgers won the game, late on the clock
For tonight, Go Sox! Waiting the next... tick-tock.

Such was time, a record-breaking passage
When you were forever, my endless mate,
A sleeping rose wrestling against ill fate
Touching a hag’s needle in an era of rage.

Yet I sought you, enmeshed in feisty strains
Bound helpless by a a mad witch of charade,
Till lightened journey began to slowly fade
As my beard grew longer from your remains.
