She was light, I was glass, a reflection of the rays passing through me,
A dance of shadows and glimmers on the surface of my cracked heart,
Perhaps I wasn't the purest altar, for something in me always resisted,
Trying to mend her, to hold her, but shattering her fragile outline.
Her light scattered into shards when it passed through me, a sad kaleidoscope,
It wasn't her that bent, but all that was good in her warm essence,
I held her with sharp edges, how could I keep the light alive?
So, in the end, she faded, not from desire, but from the lack of a clear path.
I left her without ways, a labyrinth of cracked mirrors and lost illusions,
And I wondered, how can a broken heart offer shelter to the light?
She vanished, like a memory shrouded in mist, letting the shadows fall,
But perhaps in my reflections, she will always continue to dance, unceasingly.

String bean was asked about his lips,
Stretched out for drink of cool water.
The desert wind, so hot, brought her -
“Long Tall Sally,” with spikes of glass;
With blue skies, standing in the grass.
He strums the strings of Summer sun.
Short rays of envy track the fun.

We fight stubborn ground,
Heavy panels, slow progress,
Clean power awaits.
"A new relationship is like a seed that we plant and nurture ~
it grows into something beautiful and everlasting."
~ Jodi Picoult
When the veins of indigo thoughts in my broken heart
were gently touched by the golden glow within your soul
we blended together in a splendid hue of luminous sheen.
Upon love's palette, we are a soft shade of verdant green
awash in a crimson rouge of blush when I first felt the rush
of romance ignite my senses on our first night together.
So, I'll write what's in my heart, and the verse would start
with white rose petals of rhymes about the many times
I felt blue, wishing you'd recognized what was in my eyes.
Now, they shine with love brighter than amber rays of the sun.
tulips turn their heads toward the warm sun
they drink in the sun’s bright rays
springtime is here to stay
warm rays of the sun
penetrate the frigid air
the snow takes notice
SUN RAYS
Sun Ray's blowing through the Sun kissed Wind
Arrows flying through
Barely able to Bend
Light shining Bright
Brighter than the Eye can see
Vision being shuffled
Who might this Be
Knock, knock, knock
Always come in Three's
Standing at the Door
Looking down at Me
Was The LORD'S HOLY Angel
Who might hold the Key

*Zechariah 10:1 - Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.

cascading rays
the heat made bearable
under cover
the mist of the waves
cooling her weary soul
Moon Rays
The aquamarine moon rays can now
recharge bus, train, and
tram plastic
fair cards.
Freed from burdens of cold ice carpets
Grasses resurrect from marshy pits
Rays from a red fireball from far
Shine like gold dust from a long lost star.
Songs of each bird have volumes hidden.
From freedom no one is forbidden.
The sun waits in the shadows, ready to crown the morning with gold
If I could fold the suns rays, form them into a crown of gold
Then you my lovely princess, would always be decked in silver and gold
So
soothing,
the moisture;
Cooling my core
I’m in a state of
bright ataraxia;
A barricade for brittle,
fragile skin is now protected;
If only your touch contained aloe,
instead of the high noon rays that fry me.
fresh fuchsia flowers
sunny rays splashing faces
across closed casket
