Rather than talking to walls -
I talk to the universe
Which talks back.

The Milky Way hails -
The stars wink endlessly -
The planets - they enchant -

And if my ears are sharp -
I might hear steadfastly
The drum of time

In sync with my heart -
The crickets and the owls
As one rhyme.

Rather Loud

Silence is rather loud when you don't have people to fill it
Thoughts are rather loud when you don't have people to hear it
Emotions are rather loud when you don't have people to help it
Pain is rather loud when you are alone, forced to feel it

           than irritated, vexed
              bothered or annoyed

The youthful memories I have did grate
Upon my innermost self and I'd cry
For my depressed spirit which longed to die
And halt life tainted with anger and hate

Yet now in a manic marvelous state
Akin to alcohol’s euphoric high
My heart's core renewed, can soar to the sky
How this came to be, I’ll try

  cookie, laden
with coconut and chocolate
    nipped, directly
from the fridge
      chipped teeth
would not be delicious
so either wait for a Girl Scout

or oh dear me

Rather should the winter never end,
If I should meet the spring without thy hand.
The seasons our souls do summers send,
And all do fall upon our hearts’ command.

What a perfect day soon I fell a deep sleep and dreamed full of joy and
