Rather Chewy a Girl Scout

Rather chewy a Girl Scout cookie, laden with coconut and chocolate nipped, directly from the fridge chipped teeth would not be delicious so either wait for a Girl Scout cookie, to thaw or oh dear me and bless her heart microwave the Girl Scout treat, add wholesome milk or diet coke, with bits of ice, suffice it to say a Girl Scout’s rather nice

When there's a will, there's a way. Microwave or milk sound like good approaches!

Love this reminder Kim of the many times I bought Girl Scout cookies the mint flavor ones I loved with chocolate and the coconut ones. Your poem is as sweet as the cookies. Hugs...

I think I know the flavor you mean. It's my favorite. But I haven't bought them in decades. I haven't even baked my own cookies in years. Getting cancer makes us more likely to lay off the sweets. My hubbie always eats sweets. Lucky guy. He has had the worst diet for his 70 years of life and he just keeps surviving as if nutrition hardly matters!!

I get it. My D-I-L had to lay off sugar and alcohol due to cancer. Hugs

Aww…so cool to know. My brother was a boy scout too!

Great recipe! Treatment. I use to love them, but they no longer come to the door -- mother's are fearful, and I can't blame them. Crazy world. But, on a brighter note, your poem is delightful -- good memories.

Two of my daughters were Girl Scouts, cookie time is a big deal, it was so hard to sell so MANY cookies! We loved the chocolate mint, yes, I bought a bunch of them!! Never thought to freeze them, that is a good idea, but microwave until thawed is true wisdom! My sister and I used to sneak frozen Hostess Ding Dongs from the freezer where my mom hid them and locked the freezer, we found the key :/ I wonder if I ever confessed that sin? Makes me feel bad now! Probably got a cavity or two from them!

Nice one Kim. I have to have gluten free and they used to make a GF cookie and it was pretty good. Not sure if they do anymore.
