lingering
in the moment
stretching
the sun
takes
a final bow
slow motion
a curtsy
and kiss
goodnight

Affection With Rapt

Enthralled am I in my deep mind,
a love like yours, so hard to find-
I’ve relinquished all that sad woe,
once I found it hard to let go,
but those days are so far behind.

Immersed in your strength I’m confined
we’re beauty and passion combined,
spellbound with magic, we shall grow-
Enthralled am I.

Absorbed with spirit I’m inclined
engaged in desire, we’re entwined-
So fascinated, this I know,
with affection our love shall glow,
so in love, you’re one of a kind-
Enthralled am I.

Premium MemberRapt Yet Sad

I’m rapt, yet sad those times I see
that boy who means the world to me.
When he walks in, I cannot take
my eyes off him, nor can I break
the spell he weaves so seamlessly!

How can I ever be set free
from eyes as azure as the sea?
I’m dreaming, yet I dream awake
                                           I’m rapt, yet sad.

With him I’d know felicity.
However, it is lunacy
to think that I could ever make
him mine! My heart will ever ache,
for he’s with HER, so it can't be!
                                            I'm rapt, yet sad.

Film Noir Rapt

The TCM channel caught my eye
playing movies termed "film noir"
intriguing movies where someone lies
and theres a body lying on the floor,

The old black and white movie draws me in
with Bogie and Bacall or Stanwyck and MacMurray
murder mysteries with shadows and grins
where the villain is calculating and very nervy,

A love triangle where three is a crowd
the villains conscience is put on hold
where my rapt attention becomes aroused
seeing the poor victim lying lifeless and cold,

I want to scream watch out they have a gun!
as I'm transported into the movie scene
feeling like I should get up and run
helping the naive victim out of their bad dream,

Its always too late as I can't realistically help
but I know that the bad guy will eventually get caught
with a detective or third party gaining facts that will melt
the "amnesiac" villains story they haven't yet bought,

The villain sometimes ends up dying too
or sometimes getting "cuffed" going into jail
either way these films make me want to chew
not only on my popcorn but on my nails...

Premium MemberRapt Agog, Bent

Agog, I in flutter, in love, first sight
Eyes all rapt, locked up, in fixed stare, glaring
Smitten by beauty, enraptured my plight,
Could not draw my eyes away, despairing
That this love adorning was forewarning
Of frustration, fraught with disappointment
Looming up inevitably, not meant.

A Moment Too Rapt

Words slip from your cracked lips unbound,
spilling over my chest without a sound.
My limps then writhe with a flair,
teeter-tottering, feet bare.
Do carouse me on this merry-go-round.

Rapt

I have past my perfect years, I am so insanely sobered by your face.
I know that it is not the thing that will ravage me.
Oh, to be beautiful and wonderous...
at the mercy of a lover,
feeling like centuries of seduction are falling down around me.
Skin made up of embers and ivory.
I want to remain here,
somber in your bed on Sunday.
The tragic remains of a rapturousnight.
Untamed, forgive me not.
I am heavenly here not there,
and only seen as graceful standing naked before you,
chanting for your kiss, praying for absolution.
Content to scrape at your feet.
To purge my skin on a honeysuckle morning.
Without doubt or shame flooding from my lips,
the quiet is absolute.
I have banished reality from this bell jar.
I keep you to myself.
Delicate and complicated... shhh
...stubborn secrets of the ghost,
that is my heart. Stop.
(I refuse to be jaded by the sudden absence of you.)

Rapt By Our Hands

Vacant deepening sounds,
Carrying across the folio of my needs.
Rapt to the wind in melody,
And helps me fall to my knees.

Taken by the fear of categorization,
Of in our skin where we once felt.
Feel how it has come to delay.
Continually alive and dependent we've become,
In it's illusion we're love's slave.

Holding the despair in my left,
And the built timeless enduring on my right.
Staying awake the trying of my attention,
I stumble from my blindness in dense night.

I am not to loose my sense to breathe,
In future nights swallowed ash felt complete.
Out of all fires that belong to me,
This one begging for your release.

Wrapped Rapt

Wrapped Rapt

Cellophane rainbows
Spectrum dreams
Silken tied

Brooding stormy skies
Sunset patterns
And quiet moments

Kisses in sunlight
Laughing rain
Cold cuddling warm nights

Bottles of deep red wine
Candles melted by time
And embers of requited passion

Sweet seconds captured
Fingers entwined
And sparkling eyes

Lazy stretching
Quite mornings
All my dreamings

If I could
