Waiting for a day
Confine myself in a tree
Hustle bustle free.

Quarantine Quazy

I staged a race
Came in number one
Cuz I was the only
One to run

I have never made a mistake.
Except for that one time
When I thought I had made a mistake
But I was mistaken.

Is it the virus
Or is it the flu
I’m trapped in the house
Making horrible noises
And I’m told by the “experts”
Those are my choices

I’m wearing gloves,

The rush of emotion, 
The thud of adrenaline, 
Amidst the commotion, 
Scouting for medicine, 

Those who speak, keep others in line, 
Patience they say and all will be fine,  

Those who seek, know things won’t easily resolve, 
Eagerly scurrying to make it dissolve,

Official alerts keep people in check, informing them of what is allowed,

Never Alone

In this time of quarantine,
One does not know 
Whether you are being forgotten
Or you’re suffering all alone.

You miss going outside,
To Escape from your worries.
You miss seeing your classmates,
That cheered and entertained you daily.
You miss shopping at large stores,
splurging and rewarding yourself.
You miss visiting restaurants,
An opportunity to enjoy company as well as scrumptious meals.

Home Confinement

Because of the end of January’s snowy days,
While roads are still covered with an icy glaze,
It’s a bit easier to handle this quarantine
The most frustrating thing I have ever seen,
Hopefully this spring will end the COVID craze.

Pizza Delivery

I’m going to each of my suitemates' rooms. One at a time, methodically. I pause, for dramatic purpose, until I have their full attention. Once I have it, I rushingly, excitedly, breathlessly say, “I’M getting pizza later, for the GAME!” Like a seven year old child.

We’re busy all day long with studying and chapter summaries,
we’re stuck in quarantine. Luckily, I like my roommate's company.

We know that we have work to do as prep for upcoming classes,
but we know that it takes more than work to make young lasses happy.

So I talked my roomies into getting, a steak-n-cheese delivery,
instead of working

To escape from further quarantine

People prefer domestic travel
Instead of foreign travel
People believe 
Less risk more joy 
With SOP they will be safe
Although the sun, the sceneries

Re-living the same routine day after day,
Stuck between a hard place and a vestigial virus,

I can’t do this today

Quantine for fourteen days,
Shocking news to hear,
Quickly put me in a daze,
How do I get rid of this fear.

Confinement, it’s unbearable!
Kept in a room by myself
I admit, it was terrible!
Having to entertain myself.

I kept busy reading a book or two,
Or, on my phone to keep in touch.
Vitamins galore filled my bedside table,
While fever climbed far
