Quarantine
Quantine for fourteen days,
Shocking news to hear,
Quickly put me in a daze,
How do I get rid of this fear.
Confinement, it’s unbearable!
Kept in a room by myself
I admit, it was terrible!
Having to entertain myself.
I kept busy reading a book or two,
Or, on my phone to keep in touch.
Vitamins galore filled my bedside table,
While fever climbed far too much.
Don’t know when I will be stable,
With a raging cough that won’t cease,
And head pounding unstoppable,
Oh, how I wish to get some release.
Alas, the day arrived, I thought
Back to some form of normalcy,
But it was bittersweet indeed,
Cause now I have to get another shot!
