Premium Member Is King Solomon Still Relevant

             Spare the rod
You’ll come to hate the child
              King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes
                 Isn’t that wild

	      Commentators cite Abraham the Patriarch
                 who constantly pampered Ishmael
Abraham watched his undisciplined son go off the rails

Not to mention Isaac, who loved Esau, let him do what he wanted
which led Esau to rape women, whom ‘for sport’ he hunted

So, Solomon really meant what he said
Abraham came to hate Ishmael; Isaac, Esau to dread

Yet if you still consider King Solomon an irrelevant old head

Know that his advice came with one proviso
A father must never – ever – strike a child when he is riled!

Port of Spain

Manifestations of your Gauzy Fantasies
Unravelling Bonds of Tangled, Mangled Destinies
Sun of Man Set His Right Eye on Me
Tenaciously Searing, Calculating
To Entrap Me, A Prisoner to His Needs
Inspired A Premedimated Deed did He
With Intent To Plant a Seed!

Stormed Wrecked and Invaded My Archipelago
Pirate Prowess, Sophomoric,
He Stared, I Jeered, Blotted Proviso Smeared
Drenched In Salted Sweet, Freshly Spring Showered Awhile Ago
Armpits Crying, Young Sun, I've Done No Wrong
No Shade to Evade the Soundless Seranade
As The Father, Not the Sun, Pearched In a Chariot
Cascaded, Paraded Crusade

Blazing Rays, No Mercy, No Refrain
Solar Purgatory, Solicited by the Solar Nova Hovering above Port-of Spain
Evaporated Senses, Smothered Disdain, Budding Foliage Scorched and Drained
Organically Syphoning Hydration Reserved for Lack of Rain
Heat Rashes, Depleted Cortizone Stashes
Senses Assunder, Lost in Wander
Drifting Sun Stroked, Begging Pardon, Parched and Punished In Port of Spain!

Owing to a pact we made long ago,
God’s angel appeared to us in disguise,
offering to restore light we’d let go,
arising from our life choices unwise
but the promise came with a proviso,
that if our soul seeks to climb to new highs,
we must first agree to make our heart pure,
with eye mindful, touch gentle and demure.

God’s light, the angel said, is in our heart,
so given this clue, known to very few,
we deemed silence as the best way to start,
for sans thought, our heart’s pure, like morning dew
and thus simply by adding love to cart,
we resurrected our soul’s light anew.
Ego disappeared, God Himself appeared;
we became the light, by sages revered.

Nossos Coracoes

*HEART OF STONE
would never split open
and melt,
even if we cried
the bloody tears.
     Oh thy lonely heart,
     listen to these
     unheard pleas !
We both were stuck
in between untold cadences,
when there were only shattered pieces
     " OF US ".

  *HEART OF GOLD
had ever been
dealt with that welt,
       even it was spelt
       by the svelte proviso.
Oh my lovely heart,
We were driven by this frisson of emotion.
Nearby the ablaze hearth,
we found our peace.

Trump Caught In Caveat

Caveat is warning or proviso of specific
stipulations, conditions, or limitations.

Trump Caught In a Caveat

In a Corvette with blond, Trump was caught,
With traffic becoming unbearable onslaught;
We know why;
Hung out to dry,
And what could be one more incredible caveat.

High Noon For Ruth

It came to pass that in Bethlehem, Judah
God sent a famine with problems most severe.
Mother Naomi and her three men maneuver
to strike out in sync, to leave their home sphere.
Death by starvation was, of course, their main fear.

It came to pass that in Moab, fate won their heart.
Naomi’s two sons took on wives fairly soon.
But, Death by disease broke this family apart;
all three husbands were struck by its sudden harpoon.
One young wife named Ruth had met her high noon.

It came to pass that three women in limbo
made the choice of their lives, likely unhurried.
Our hero, Ruth, the poet, put things in tempo -
“Entreat me not to leave you,” Ruth was worried
for Naomi. “Where you die, I will be buried.”

It has come to pass that over time, well-known phrase,
“Entreat me not to leave you,” which Ruth composed
has become a mantra for those put face to face.
May it never lose the proviso Ruth proposed -
“Your God, my God!” a standard upheld, unopposed.

Antithetical

ANTITHETICAL

What would you do if offered affordable beach property?
Sounds good... lest supposing proviso be toxic wasteland and poverty
Prospects of owning transformed – the choice unappealing
Investment and value revealing—negating negative feeling

Daily investing in self-sufficiency, effort, greed and selfish pride
Rewards we may reap, perchance-- a few accolades confirm that we tried
Diversifications, independent autonomy, have natural appeal
Contrary principles, lasting effects— steal...cunningly conceal

Feeding compulsions of selfishness, at odds with our free spirit
As we try to escape erratic persuasions of worldly limits
Repetitive mental and emotional garbage-to love or be loved
Divided homes, divided lives, small minded, lopsided – gloved

To endeavour affections, serenity—empathetic, exuberant life
Compassionate spirit, sense of commitment—conviction, not strife
Not just ideas in our heads or our sentimental heart
Ideally... working through implications of life that keep us apart

The 12 Anno - Duodecimalisation Periods

THE 12 ANNO-DUODECIMALISATION PERIODS

Wintric time is now slippopherous and the slithey snowlerimon
Is experiented with the newly-arrived vernality in the air.
His triple anno-duodecimalisation period is in terminfication
Which has megaramifications and blerious implifications bare

For the floracious and faunacious spread of life-and-growthicity
The next few anno-duodecimalisation periods will encertain
The success of the seminal vesicles of herbatorial and floribundial growthity
And the ground-coveration will soon be overspread with leavy-fruitain.

Treedonry, tall and gloribundant shall castigate their shadowsmith
Across meadowfields so mertile and bloductive. Soon the triple
Anno-duodecimalisation of the pre-wintric time will proviso us with
All the beautiflic and delicioned harverted produce from our farmliple:

Making us readified for the oncoming wintric time, a periodontary
Of slippopherous and slithey snowlerimon, coldpainly beyond comparicary.
