Premium MemberA Calm Tongue and Twisted Speech - Proverbs 15: 4

The tongue does many a twist upon us
effecting our outlook to be so untrue
it grabs our minds taking our attention
leading to fill us so we turn blue

Learn to cultivate a tongue of calm
perfecting peace and quiet in your heart
this does truly produce a tree of life
a life of real calmness in no small part

But beware of speech that's twisted
for it'll ruin you to your utter despair
every word conveyed loses all goodness
and grips you that you feel completely bare

Be sure to keep your tongue peaceful
giving it no anxious or evil thought
allow peace to come down from above
calming each nerve forever how fraught

Learn to memorise this blessed verse
a calm tongue and twisted speech
so you have it always in mind
this your remedy for life, so do teach

("A calm tongue* is a tree of life,
But twisted speech causes despair.* Prov. 15:4.)

Hidden Things

It is the glory of God
to conceal a thing:
but the honour of kings
is to search out a matter
Prov. 25:2

I search always
for the invisible things
Hidden things buried deep
in the sands of antiquity
Trained I was in the ways of spiritual investigation,
got taught under the feet of a wise one
Kings of the ghetto are father and son
I'm in search always
of heavenly things
Hidden in plain sight
are these eternal mysteries
Open your eyes
and see precept upon precept
Open your ears
to hear the new version of an old concept
I search always
for the prophetic things
Holy revelations from the future
concerning the fate of humanity
I was taught by God,
borne chastisement under the correcting rod
I learned right from wrong,
how to help the weak
and withstand the strong
I learned how to discern
clean from unclean
And how love
was the purifier of everything
I was blessed with a gift
to investigate tirelessly
I love to search always
for invisible things hidden in the deep

His All Seeing Eye: For Mystic Rose Contest

Jesus has my heart and soul.
It's wrapped up in His love.
And when He puts His hand in mine,
it fits me like a glove.

Each time I turn to Him in prayer,
like my best friend, He's always there.
And when my thoughts are calm and still,
then in my heart, I hear His Will.

I seek God in the morning,
before I start my day.
And in the evening, He is there,
listening to my every care.

When troubled times cross my path,
and I think I hear the devil laugh,
Jesus let's me know He's near,
and wipes away my every tear.

You can read in the Bible,
where God's all seeing eye
moves to and fro. (Prov.15:3)
I think He's looking out for us,
and that's a comforting thought to know.

My heart goes out to the unsaved,
whose calloused hearts do not perceive
the love of God they could receive.
Everlasting life is offered to all,
who answer salvations clarion call.

How Long Wilt Thou

How long wilt thou sleep
and slumber, O
sluggard?
When wilth thou arise from
thy yearn and
yawning yard?
Yet a little sleep, a little
slowing down to
slumber,
so shall the poverty come
like a
crushed Cucumber.

How long wilt thou bark
and bite, O
backbiter?
When wilt thou get out of
thy gushing
gutter?
Yet a little bark, a little bitter
bite at the
back,
so shall thy sorrow come in
sporadic
super sack.

How long wilt thou pomp
and puff up, O
proud?
When wilt thou live thy
lousy... living out
loud?
Yet a little plump, a little
preen in
pride,
so shall the shame come
like a badly
beaten bride.

How long wilt thou swim in
sins , O
sinner?
When wilt thou stop being
a
worthless winner?
Yet a little sin, a little swim
in the seas
that stinks,
so shall thy wicked wages
come
like a wave or wink.
Prov 6:9 ''How long wilt
thou sleep,
O sluggard? When wilt
thou arise
out of thy sleep''

Train Up a Child

Train Up A Child

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Prov 22:6 NIV

Train up a child—
To know the wisdom of God,
So that when that child is older,
They’ll have good habits to applaud.
Your children need your guidance;
They know not what is right;
They also need a good example,
So they can live upright.

Train up a child in obedience,
So self will not reign;
Teach them to love others;
From sharing not refrain.
Read to your children;
Teach them of God’s love,
Show them from the scriptures—
The promise of eternity above.

How you train your child,
Will mean life or death;
Train your child for eternity—
Far more precious than wealth.
Teach patience and persistence;
These traits aren’t natural,
But are essential in life’s journey—
To the life eternal.

Train up a child—
To see what the Lord says on a matter;
Show them Christ as the advisor;
Our provider and the Savior.
Be considerate of your children—
They are people too;
Always love and cherish them,
As your Father loves and cherishes you.

Evil Personified

Evil scourge of the earth so full of waste,
plotter of mankind's fast downward pace.
Breaker of peace and stiffler of song,
with wicked power and purpose upon,
the action of men in opposing always,
God's Holy word with shadows of grey.
Tempter of hearts, making men move;
in ways of hate to shed innocent blood.
Your hostile world in opposition to truth,
wreaks ruin and misery with little reproof.
Destruction of mankind is your design,
without relief or recourse to find.
The father of lies, you lustfully move,
denying the truth, falsehood to prove.
Taking advantage with all evil means,
Winning the battle without effort, it seems.
Sin, as a virtue, you proudly proclaim,
with beauty and pleasure and promise of fame.
With multitudes in your will, you conspire,
to consign, even God's people to the fire.
Seducing millions in false religion's glow,
with deceit, corruption, and murder in tow.
Oh, evil personified, how far from God,
do you so slyly wield your harsh rod.
Disguising yourself as an angel of light,
bringing confusion with all of your might.
Make haste, lay waste, as is your want to do,
God has prepared a proper place for you.

Prov.8:36 "those that hate me, love death."
