Best Prov Poems
It is the glory of God
to conceal a thing:
but the honour of kings
is to search out a matter
Prov. 25:2
I search always
for the invisible things
Hidden things buried deep
in the sands of antiquity
Trained I was in the ways of spiritual investigation,
got taught under the feet of a wise one
Kings of the ghetto are father and son
I'm in search always
of heavenly things
Hidden in plain sight
are these eternal mysteries
Open your eyes
and see precept upon precept
Open your ears
to hear the new version of an old concept
I search always
for the prophetic things
Holy revelations from the future
concerning the fate of humanity
I was taught by God,
borne chastisement under the correcting rod
I learned right from wrong,
how to help the weak
and withstand the strong
I learned how to discern
clean from unclean
And how love
was the purifier of everything
I was blessed with a gift
to investigate tirelessly
I love to search always
for invisible things hidden in the deep

Train Up A Child
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Prov 22:6 NIV
Train up a child—
To know the wisdom of God,
So that when that child is older,
They’ll have good habits to applaud.
Your children need your guidance;
They know not what is right;
They also need a good example,
So they can live upright.
Train up a child in obedience,
So self will not reign;
Teach them to love others;
From sharing not refrain.
Read to your children;
Teach them of God’s love,
Show them from the scriptures—
The promise of eternity above.
How you train your child,
Will mean life or death;
Train your child for eternity—
Far more precious than wealth.
Teach patience and persistence;
These traits aren’t natural,
But are essential in life’s journey—
To the life eternal.
Train up a child—
To see what the Lord says on a matter;
Show them Christ as the advisor;
Our provider and the Savior.
Be considerate of your children—
They are people too;
Always love and cherish them,
As your Father loves and cherishes you.

" The Horse and The Storm Cloud ... "
(From The Solomon Studies Series) # 4
(Eccl. 3: 11 / Prov. 6: 6 / Matt. 6: 26, 28, 29)
The Horse and The Storm Cloud
Both Have Thundered Over The Plains
The Horse and The Storm Cloud
Both Race and Are Hard To Restrain
The Horse and The Storm Cloud
Both Rise Then Bolt Like Arrows Aimed
The Horse and The Storm Cloud
Both Desire To Reach Fruits and Grains
The Horse and The Storm Cloud
Both Upon Hilltops Have Reigned
The Horse and The Storm Cloud
Both Have Glistened With Heavy Rain
Tho' One Is Ridden and One Never Reined
Both Have Wild Beauty Forever Untamed
Tho' One Claps
and One Paws The Ground
One Neighs In The Wind
& One Wears Lightning's Crown
The Horse and The Storm Cloud
Both Characterize Nature's Fame
The Horse and The Storm Cloud
GOD Made Both Unique, But Flash The Same
The Horse and The Storm Cloud
Both, GOD Will Make Sure - Earth Retains

Growing up in West Texas (oh yeah, I love horses) ...
there was a riding ranch that opened up near my family's
home. So, I've ridden horses ever since I was in my early
teens.
I came to appreciate that the horse is a sensitive, noble
and beautiful creature. Hence, I felt I had to state my
affinity and admiration for this unique beast, (not just
with one poem but two)
The horse has been in such close association with man
and mankind's history ... So that is why I wrote the posts
enumerating the qualities of the magnificent creature
that is the horse ...
Now, I'm not the greatest equestrian (by any
means, but I've got a good seat for riding (lol)
And if you do, find yourself on a sunny day, with time
on your hands, take a leisurely ride on a horse and you'll
be hooked for life (I know I am) (All you Horse-Riders
out there, know what I'm talking about, I know)

(Prov. 22: 6 / Heb. 5: 14 / Deut. 6: 6-9 / 2 Tim. 3: 13-15, 16 / Matt. 19: 13, 14)
- cont. - from Part 1
And The Same Can Be Said
Of A Young Child’s Impressionable Mind
It Needs To Be Nurtured At Home
Or It Will Eat Every Junk & Stuff They Find
And You Can’t Let A Child
Follow Its Every Whim …
No Matter How Brilliant or Smart
Dumb Things Will Make Them Dim
But Parents Try To Remember
Just When You Were Young …
Didn’t You Just Want To Act Stupid
And Have Some Friends & Fun?
Every Child Needs To Know
What & Who They Can Trust …
This Is More Important Than That Job
& Making Big Bucks
Every Child Needs Guidance
Even If Parents Are Just Guessing
But There Is A Book of Instructions
To Keep Parents & Child From Stressing
(2 Tim. 3: 15, 16)
It Is A Compass & A Map
& Its Like Reading A Diary of Confessions
Where Both Parents & Children
Can Learn About Real Life Lessons
(Matt. 4: 4 / Matt. 19: 13, 14)
And We Need To Start Training Them Young
From The Crib & From The Womb
Give ‘Em Plenty Space & Privacy
But Know What’s Going On In That Room!
‘Cause Newsflash! … Now Hear This
When Children Get Wrong Ideas or Tears
It’s Up To Loving Parents & Families
To Steer Them Free & Clear
Yes, Newsflash! … Now Know This
Children Don’t Know Nuthin’!
It’s Up To Responsible Adults
To ‘Try’ & Teach Them Somethin’ …
Their Bright Little Eyes & Minds
Are Looking To Us For Advice
And We Have To Watch Their Little Heads
So They Don’t Get Infected With Lice!
Yes, Their Bright Eyes & Minds
Are Looking To Us For Advice
& There Is Not Enough or Too Much Time
That We Could Sacrifice
And Without The Rod of Discipline
Whether Spanking or Time Out On The Floor
Loving Communication Is What Keeps Them
From Being Spoiled & Rotted To The Core
Look – Grandmamma Used To Tell Me
“If Everybody Is Sticking Their Head In The Fire
And They Tell You It Won’t Hurt …
You Tell ‘Em ‘You’re A Liar!’”
Listen, We All Can See That This World
Is Going To You Know Where In A Hand-Basket
But You Don’t Have To Let Them Group You & Yours
Into That Casket …
And When A Child Wants To Eat Candy
‘Cause It Tastes Good – All Day Long!
When You Tell Them “No!”
Listen … You Ain’t Wrong!

The Horse and The Lion
Both Have Beautiful Manes
The Horse and The Lion
Both Stand Up To Powerful Claims
The Horse and The Lion
Both Rule Where They Range
The Horse and The Lion
Both Have Battled On The Plains
Tho' One Neighs Shrilly and The Other Roars!
One Is A Mighty Hunter / The Other Rides To Wars!
Tho' One Has Teeth & Claws, Like Sharp Talons
Everyone Bewares The Hooves & Ground of Wild Stallions
The Horse and The Lion
Both Are Like Muscled, Courage Unchained
Yet The Horse, Eats Oats and Hay
and Sweet Apples and Grain
And One Day, GOD Said
... Lions Will Do The Same
Both The Noble Horse & The Pride of Lions
GOD Made Them Man's Super Adventure-Trains

If A Child Wants To Eat Candy
All Day Long …
When You Tell Them ‘No!’ - -
Is It Wrong?
If A Child Wants To Stay Up On School Nights
And Not Go To Bed …
Will You Leave The Matter At That
And Do What They Said?
If A Child Wants To Run The Streets
At All Hours of The Night …
Would You Allow It
And Say ‘It’s Alright’?
If A Child Fell Into Hanging Out
With The Wrong Crowd …
Would You Do Nothing
Thereby Showing It’s Allowed?
If A Child Gets Some Silly Notion
And Is Being Misled …
Will You Not Try To Talk
Some Sense Into Their Head?
And When Your Child Makes A Mistake
(‘Cause All Of Us Make Life’s Errors)

All Children Need Education
That’s Why We Send Them To School
But Isn’t Home Training
The Best Place For Understanding Life’s Rules?
Before Your Child Gets Polio or Smallpox
Or Some Other Life Threatening Situation
Would You Not Seek Out Preventative
Medicine or Cures Thru Vaccinations?
If A Child Just Wants To Play
And Not Do Chores or Homework …
Would You Not Try To Find Out
Why A Lazy Streak Is Starting To Lurk?
If Your Child Is Depressed
Unmanageable or Confused …
Would You Not Put Extreme Effort

If A Child Needs To Be Shown Love
and We Withhold Our Kisses & Hugs
Are We Guilty When They Grow Up
Into ‘Crypts & Bloods’?
If Your Child Doesn’t Want To Talk
and Retreat In Hiding From The World
Wouldn’t You Do Everything In Your Power
To Help Your Precious Boy or Baby-Girl?
If Your Child Has Low Self Esteem
Or Shows A Lack of Character …
Wouldn’t You Want To Be
Their Value & Virtue Narrator?
If Your Child Just Really Needs
Someone To Listen & To Talk To …
Would You Not Prefer
that That Someone Be You?
I Once Knew A Police Officer
Who Had Said of His Beat …

Wisdom Is Supreme
“5 Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them. 6 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. 7 The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. 8 Cherish her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you. 9 She will give you a garland to grace your head and present you with a glorious crown.” Prov 4:5-9 NIV
Solomon told us that Wisdom Is Supreme.
She’s more precious than rubies or gold;
Long life is in her right hand,
When of God’s words you lay hold.
Wisdom will protect you,
And she will honor your embrace.
She’ll present you with a glorious crown—
Your head a garland to grace.
Wisdom’s ways are pleasant
And her paths are those of peace.
In her left hand she holds riches,
That for the wise will increase.
She is a tree of life to the seeker,
Who, with perseverance, seeks her blessings.
Lay hold of God’s words with all your heart;
Obtain their wisdom, and understanding.
Hold on to wisdom’s instruction—
Do not ever let it go!
Guard it like your life,
So your blessings continue to flow.
Make level paths for your feet,
And guard your heart with God’s commands,
For they are the beginning of wisdom;
Provide what’s held in wisdom’s hands.
The evil deeds of the wicked
Are by their darkness ensnared.
Such cords hold them fast,
Lest by the Father they’re repaired.
Adultery and acts of folly
Are not found where wisdom reigns.
Instead she leads along straight paths;
Wisdom Is Supreme and leads to eternal gains.

The gift of a man maketh room for him,
The gift of healing, the gift of understanding,
The gift of given to the poor, this I long for,
The gift that supersedes all, this I crave,
this I work towards ,this I dream of and
this I die for..
For a decade, I roam in wonderland,
For a decade , I swim in abject penury,
For a decade , I was a novice and a fool;
Before I discovered the secret; the secret of
Greatness , the secret of leadership, the secret of
manipulation, the secret of oppression and opposition,
the secret of celestial bliss…
People talked ,I refuse to listen!
People called me names ,I refuse to change !,
People barked at me ,I remain undaunted!,
People betrayed me ; I continue to give!,
People planned ,people connived ,people mocked
And plenty people failed!;for I remain faithful to the poor.
That`s why, I am among the best,
That’s why, I flourish like the lilies and gold crystals
That`s why ,the almighty endowed me with glory,
That`s why, I dine with great men and kings.
To him that gives, It shall be given;
To measure, press down and running over….
*Prov 18:16—“A man`s gift maketh room for him and bringeth him
before great men”.

"There Is A Way---Prov. 14:12"
There is a way that seems right unto a man
but the end thereof are the ways of death!
His destiny is part of a greater Plan
from his first to his very last breath!
But the end thereof are the ways of death.
A man's free will does allow him to choose
from his first to his very last breath
whether he is happy or he sings the blues!
A man's free will does allow him to choose
not just direction but also the path.
Whether he is happy or he sings the blues,
he brings himself blessings or sometimes wrath!
Not just direction but also the path,
it's the choice between darkness or the Light!
He brings himself blessings or sometimes wrath
if he chooses the wrong instead of the right!
It's the choice between the darkness or the Light.
This decision for himself everyman makes!
If he chooses the wrong instead of the right
instead of moving forward, his life slams on the brakes!
This decision for himself everyman makes.
Nothing is ever left at all to chance!
Instead of going forward his life slams on the brakes!
A self inflicted sudden stop circumstance!
Nothing is ever left at all to chance.
His destiny is part of a greater Plan!
A self inflicted sudden stop circumstance?
There is a way that seems right unto a man!
