Did I hear a voice,
say this is your day,
a goodwill whisper,
this golden nugget,
prompt from universe,
intuition en route,
hints and tints,
colour my world,
eye for compass,
point or option,
railway of prospect,
charge down tracks,
dazzling sunshine,
sumptuous clouds,
standing in porch,
hub of heartbeat,
waving at neighbours,
eyes so expressive,
my deepest wish,
continue hearing,
that magic voice
she is bragging about all the weight she has lost
I am stunned because she looks pretty corpulent
we are at a Fat Ladies of America meeting.
I lost six pounds this week she says.
There is polite clapping.
It is my first time here.
I want to be supportive
I whistle and hoot and clap and cheer.
“And I gained twelve pounds,” She continues.
So, this is how this game is played?
Cocoa kissed delight on a floral china plate.
Haute couture, or a humble local bake?
On velvet mauve, the table set
Cherries glazed, maraschino duet
Overflowing sauce, the doily collects
Layer on layer of cocoa kissed bake, made perfect
Aromatic bliss, a taste none should miss
The velvety ganache of roses, sit atop
Eat me fast, the silent call won’t stop
Cup of coffee the perfect partner
At high tea a sinful starter.
Kudos to this temptation in brown
Euphoria and drool it spreads around.
Love knows no boundaries,
Or so we are told.
Creatures succeed,
Where humans succumb and fold.
See the love the duo radiates —
Sunny yellow against whiskered white.
Their bond glows in plain sight.
Closed eyes reflect tender care,
Open eyes reveal no fear.
May this love affair grow and inspire,
A lesson for us — to love, not tire.
If the streets could talk, they would share stories..
Beautiful soliloquies
Harsh Symphonies
Sad Sanctity.
If the roads could talk they could tell of block parties.
Riots starting.
Friends breaking up friendships.
Life’s ending,
And its beautiful beginnings.
All from the car to black top tar,
A dad speeding home from work as his baby is born.
A kid speeding down the road full of freedom and life asking for more.
A mom speeding home from work because her baby is no more..
If the streets could talk..
They would be the best story tellers.
Traversing the thin veil between dream and reality,
Running on steam, quietly chugging towards eternity.
Amidst a night awashed with celestial brightness.
Impavid despite the flame & speed.
Nonchalantly navigating where desires lead.
The rain spared her the concrete
That her heart tried to conceal.
The lights flickered in abandon ;
wishing kindness and hope --
Which suspended in the emptiness.
His eyes held a long lost smile;
Of a knowing that flowered bright.
A breath, a gasp, a whisper
grew as they sighed within---
Dividing the spirit that held them.

Wisdom is not enough to calm your fears
Love can be tough and won’t dry your tears
If you see rain look forward to sun
Despite the pain look forward to fun
Know time is ticking like a clock
There’s no notice when it will stop
Be a good steward to others and self
Living in the moment as a great help
Find your niche and thrive in it
Embrace life live it as you see fit
Listen to the divine voice that guides
Being kind is a choice that is wise
When you look at another face
See it with kindness and in grace
Know we all have faults we are not perfect
Even if lost we can be found and we’re worth it
HOT WAX ABSTRACT
encaustic-
ironing trick
Three bros., Wideye, Snaggletooth, and Zonkers
When in town went a little bit bonkers
With the girls that walked by
What was level with their eye
Was ogled, whistled at, or they'd honk-hers!
The alpha canine stood under the tree
Such doggy wisdom does not come for free
“If you bury your bone
please remember the zone
Now form an orderly queue while I pee”
Next to a tree where four lines could be
Canines haven’t even thought of three
You think they'll form two
That they'd never do
‘One and dumb’ ~ the only line we'll see

Come on guys I really need to go.
My inside are about to blow,
This line is way too long,
No time to sing a song.
I am filled with messy cargo.
Posh giraffes like to take a lengthy sip
Outstanding manners we will not let slip
We like afternoon tea
From a cup - hear our plea
Give us a trough if you want a good tip
