I wish that I was platinum blonde
That I was pretty like the sky at dawn
I wish my skin was smooth and clear
But instead, I’m full of fear
I hear them whisper through the halls
But I lock myself inside the walls
Of the last place where I feel safe
Where I can determine my own fate
My pen is like a brutal sword
It could fight a million wars
Yet it saved people like me
From all of life’s absurdity
So I’ll write my stories
As my hair ruffles in the breeze
And I’ll escape to worlds
Where I control the words
Of all the people~
Lady with platinum blonde locks,
And eyes as bright blue as turquoise rocks.
We were told to find a smart partner.
I invited the platinum blonde to be mine.
She told me that she was not that wise.
I said I thought she was; lying in my eyes.
She ignored this and searched a new partner out.
Our only history is her bestie used to bully me about.
Then she said, “I have to partner with my intern Twee.”
I said “That’s great and found a different partner immediately.
Charlie was excited to be with me; we got along great you see.
Platinum blonde got kicked out of the group by Twee.
She turned and loudly yelled this to me….
“You mean you left me, when I headed toward Twee?”
I ignored her, and she ended up in a group of three.
Pouting like a big humungous oversized baby.
Are you two friends? My new partner asked me.
Not now or ever, I replied to thee.
The snowy swan skates on the pond
with brilliancy and innocence.
The ice-covered platinum blonde—
the snowy swan skates on the pond.
Sun’s mellowness of groovy yawned.
The athlete’s dawn drives diligence.
One snowy swan skates on the pond
with brilliancy and innocence.

People have the wrong impression of your life;
Seems you never liked your father’s second wife.
You let the prayers of childhood go unsaid;
Spent a humid adolescence in an unmade bed.
Your sisters always tended to their chores,
Then they’d have to find the time to finish yours.
While you would pick narcissus by the pond,
Thinking how you’d look much better as a platinum blonde.
All your fantasies of cartoon musketeers
Drape like curtains in the space between your ears,
As though to catch the echo of a thought
Before it can distract you from the shoes you’ve bought.
One should only wear glass slippers to a ball
If the dancing floor has carpet wall to wall.
Don’t tango down and down those darkened stairs,
Or take the clock for granted as if midnight cares.
Now the dirt that’s on the paving stone today
Ain’t the kind you take your broom and sweep away.
The Prince is busy looking for his Queen,
While you work hard to get your reputation clean.
Sarah’s ruby lips were all of a quiver
when she spotted Ted down on the quay
To a platinum blonde he would deliver
a gift Sarah is not yet meant to see
‘Quaint Roses’ is Sarah’s favorite perfume
she’d seen it listed on Ted’s credit card receipt
Sarah’s in a quandary, filled with dread and gloom
at seeing her boyfriend’s such covert deceit
Sarah’s meeting up with Ted and the boys
they’re all planning a trip to Paris in France
In walks the blonde with beauty and poise
she goes and kisses Ted and his pal Lance!
Sarah’s can’t work out what is going on
as Lance’s wife has got short brown hair
She turns around and sees Ted has gone
down on one knee, Sarah’s now fully aware
Ted hands Sarah her favorite scent
which is tied with an enormous bow
and concealed inside this present
there’s a ring with diamonds in a row
Lance’s wife takes off her blonde wig
Sarah’s face turns a deep shade of red
Ted’s delighted that Sarah didn’t twig
Will she pay penance when they get wed!

Clive’s wife is out of town for the evening
so he doesn’t have a second to lose
Feeling his excitement rising
he nervously places his first order
The late night courier delivers a huge box
Clive frantically rips off the packaging
to reveal ...
Six inch stiletto’s -
in flamingo pink patent leather
Clive moans in sheer ecstasy
As he squeezes his hirsuit size 13 feet
into sexy shiny shoes
Slipping into a shimmering sequinned dress
he applies theatrical makeup
which hides his five o’clock shadow
a platinum blonde wig completes the look
Clives transformation to Tallulah is finally complete!

The eighties ignited a hair bomb
With Siouxsie And The Banshees
Cyndi Lauper and Platinum Blonde
With enough Final Net and a thorough tease
Your hair would stand up to the stiffest breeze

A nice, curious white woman
asked Georgie me why
me no happy ta-day
I wore me nine-year-old frown
monkey-bar yea high
Lil’ black children grow up dat way
Me answer ta her,
was a look up ta da sky
Bad weather thoughts was commonplace every say
White clouds were getting dark,
angry wetness was windy scowl descending
upon da burning bush ‘brellas: A multiply torrent non-delay
Lightning spit attitudes,
electric hate always on da downpour
Dark blue sky news were turning me parent’s hair ash-gray
Thunder sirens ever on da scream,
black dove children have da most awful cage dreams
And it seems ta be, me elders got mo’ tear reckoning ta pay
So you pearly smile ask
man-child me why
ain’t no sunshine rainbow-ing in me life, ghetto what may?
You too would platinum blonde cry,
if you had ta shoulder da grief
me little heart have endured fo’ only just a short while every pray
A sad, recurring reel scene —
Edited ghetto playground sounds
happening everyday: The scarred heart healing of broken pottery clay
You act ditty
And try to hide the fact your pretty
Platinum Blonde with Bobbed hair
With skin so fare its new born baby soft
That when you hold your head aloft
Both Men and Women alike stop
To take a second look
And the worse thing of all
Is you are as kind and nice as you are beautiful
I kid myself I let you go
Because you would eventually 1 day realize
I wasn't good enough for you
You were far to good for me
But you loved me inspite of all my many faults
Finally I got what I never wanted
Or thought you and I both deserved
I never left you
You left me
Yet it was all down to pathetic insecure poor me
I still think about you all the time
The only 1 for me
I let get away
But I wish you no malice
I only hope you met your prince charming
Who swept you away to a palatial palace
And from that day forth
I never crossed your mind again
In a picture she looks young
Beautiful caramel hair
Green eyes that light-up and dance
His love once romanced
In a picture she looks old
Shiny platinum blonde thin hair
Green eyes that are now fatigued
His love put away
Dice clicking in loaded hands, empty pledge
Hair-shaking wetness on steamed windowpanes
Fingernail file passing on painted edge
Eye lashes blinking against flashing lanes
Grey Fedora and white knuckles knocking
Urgent business with platinum blonde and lace
Neon crackle and alley cat loving
Dark passageway to dead end people place
Sunglasses sparkle above ruby lips
Be the lovely handmaid of French delight
Scarf trailing red over twilight cool hips
Secret midnight panther fading from sight
Endless shelves of knowledge tempting poets muse
Hidden, private visions he dares to peruse
Winter has arrived for a treatment and later makes a grand entrance at the
hairdressers.
At home, forged metal, molten metal ,blacksmith hammering a horseshoe.
Quicksilver mercury smooth metal etched and inlayed with black enamel
Straw bale for pillows, candles for lighting illuminating dried sage fumes.
Family crest on metal armour , heavy metal armour etched with all over design.
Clip-clop , clip-clop your chariot has arrived with footman unrolling the steps.
We're off to lunch at the hog's breath cafe, the smell of burgers is over-
whelming!
Just a small bite, that will do , no need to wolf it , the puppy can have the rest.
Today is our hairdressing day and many small swatches are presented.
Fingers running warm water through reclining hair start a scalp massage.
Swishing fabrics, clicking heels, strong musk perfume , Madame has Arrived!
This year Winter wants to make a strong impression...Platinum Blonde!
Thin as a whistle, pale make-up, fluffy white sheepskin collar and cuffs.
With just a small dash of colour ..A chunky red jewel sparkling in silver.
