Phrased Poems

Blue Collar, White Collar

Blue collar school,
Blue collar play,
Blue collar children,
Blue collar praise,
Blue collar words,
Blue collar phrased,
Blue collar work,
Blue collar pay,
Blue collar union,
Blue collar say,
Blue collar terraced,
Blue collar glazed,
Blue collar town,
Blue collar ways,
Blue collar nights,
Blue collar days,
Blue collar skies,
Blue collar greys.

White collar night school,
White collar college days,
White collar degree,
White collar knowledge pays,
White collar nine-to-five,
White collar maze,
White collar union,
White collar raise,
White collar semi,
White collar double glazed,
White collar mowed lawn,
White collar baize,
White collar supper time,
White collar bordelaise,
White collar children,
White collar praise,
While collar world,
White collar haze.

Blue Collar, White Collar,
Whatever we might say,
We can’t forget those Blue collar days,
We can’t change all our Blue collar ways.

Stardriver

In the womb of the atmosphere of the heavens'
     on-look enclave.
I am a clade that is made of carbon's reflex of.
diamond look timing light of spirit inlay,
        a bolted word en-phrase.
I am the world's new living ray.

An incidental love sent from a crystal clear font
of nora burst in the key of harmonics, the colour of.
 thirsts.
In a word, the symbol is a key
      of the beginning's
            re-circled in verse.

In the womb of the sky ,
"in the charms of your moons satellite eye".
Clad in a cube of atoms
that is a symbol of the light within righteous
                      "I" forged.
          A dressed blessed stage
of creation greenroom at the face
of a celestial gated shift of -phase,phrased-
space non-adrift, but posed to poise to pose to.
                        propose.

Held, Aloft between two points in vantage,
in placed at unique frequency of Matters diode
in Sentile state of blessed mode.

Premium MemberBruised Syllables

A letter to my wounds,
fragranced with powdered incense,
every word woven from carnelian ink,
beauty lies in the readers heart,
bruised syllables define nothing,
when everything phrased and vented,
are mere signs of bravery,
flowing in eloquence.
So, see beyond vague verses,
crafted from mystical metaphors,
and sanguine similes,
there streams,
truth of a healing mind,
still bleeding broken ballads,
and soulful sonnets;
same rhythm as the
art of a passionate poet,
pleading to be heard and seen,
amidst silenced skies on gloomy nights,
as this quill desires no accolades nor
condolences but compassion.

I Wonder If You

I just wonder...

If you would have loved me
if you had not read the imperfect sonnet
that I wrote for you in a piece of paper
adorning it with petals of roses:
my first scribble of love to you

If you would have heard the jingles
of the anklets of my mind
when she enacted with graceful moves
and expressed her yearnings for her beloved
in the performance of Bharatanatyam:
if I hadn't scribbled them to you
my longings...in words

If you could read the lyrics
of a special song hidden in my heart
that I am yet to pen and tune to music
to sing it for you whenever I meet you:
if I do not likely get a chance
to compose and sing
my verses of devotion for you

If you could figure out
the meaning of the empty lines
in-between
in the stanzas of a poem I phrased
in the diary of my mind's memoirs
if you happen to read them.
And if you figure out,
will you try to fill those lines up...
if my mourning muse
never wishes to fill them
with her gloomy grey ink?

                                                       ...I just wonder

Note to self: Double Dactyl, somewhat akin to a limerick… A dactyl is a three syllable word with the emphasis on the first syllable.

This one opens with a nonsense double dactyl, then must use a 6 syllable word on line 2, then another double dactyl, closing out with a dactyl + 1.

A second stanza has the same format. The two stanzas are to be related, and their 4th lines should rhyme.

I'm a little unclear on the naming convention, so I phrased it as something that could be answered by reading the two stanzas

So that’s my first effort, not terribly sure if it was successful...

THIS IS AN OPEN(organic) FORM VERSE without grammatical symbols the ' open' relies upon 'the one breath limitation' & so inherently requires the 'reader' (reciter) to input and respond thus making the form a two way interplay and often a unique interpretation by the enigma so derived

Breaking Free

I’m not asking for approval,
that belongs to time
The spoken words I cherish most,
to you seem out of rhyme
I’m not asking for acceptance,
my muse rejects your praise
In darker moments light is found
—your comments weakly phrased

Domestic Violence

A new decade, yet an old societal odd stayed,
An individual afraid, manifold tragic stories left unsaid,
One's perpetual prayers failed, the other's arrogance gained,
Suffocate, hate, degrade, and slayed,
Within any face or colour it snakes,
Domestic violence cuts across any lake.

A new decade, yet an old societal odd stayed,
In the psychological, emotional or physical form it may break,
A living-hell domestic violence phrased.
Synthetic drugs, threats and power, they aim,
Perhaps more education is what we should claim?

John Bode and His Ever Lovin' Law

Whilst seated upon the commode,
An astronomer, Johann Elert Bode
Found a celestial law
Which had nary a flaw
Which he phrased in the form of an ode.

Each planet you see is removed from the sun
By a distance twice farther than the preceding one
Not a half, I lament
Not three hundred percent
But just twice! (Now isn't this fun?)
