In Defense of Reason

Pickety, Snickety
Reason A. Goodwin is
using a lexicon
to check the word

Reason’s a champion
alphaclopediack.
Not ev’ry intern can
find what is heard.

Reason A. Goodwin, the editor of World Book Encyclopedia Dictionary,
was paid good money as a judge on the original Password Game Show.
The first time he used his dictionary to look up a word - the producers
commented that we could have paid any 'staffer' to do that.

Premium MemberPassword Denied

I woke up and forgot my password.
Everything seems back-assword.
It must be somewhere, but mislaid,
among a paper mountain, I'm afraid.
Something's really weird and strange.
Has my brain been rearranged?
As this odd feeling lingers,
I can't even feel my fingers,
and while my digits seem fat and numb,
they won't even oppose my thumb.
My vision's blurry and I feel weak.
When I open up my mouth to speak,
instead of meaningful words,
out flies butterflies and birds.
Even when I try to scream
like a kettle blowing steam,
there is not a single sound -
just a silence that's profound.
The sun looks more green than yellow,
and the ground is made of jello.
I'm not sure who I am.
Can you tell me my name?
I was someone when I went to bed.
Maybe, now I'm somebody else instead.
Am I gone?  Will I be missed?
Or do I not even exist?
I wish I knew where I reside -
once again, "Password Denied".
Consider this an SOS.
Please send help to my address.

Password

I should have just chosen a shorter password.

Shorter. Easier.

My mom said to stop shivering.

In my shorts. I wear shorts to bed.

I should have just chosen long, long pants.

Someone else is choosing my passwords.

Changing my passwords…

Go to bed in shorts, and the shorts are old and worn.

Lying in bed.

My computer is in the corner of the room.

Glancing.

I could go to sleep, except that my computer is evil.

My computer laughs.

I would never guess that.

Hahaha!

You’ll never guess that password.

I guess not.

Premium MemberLove’s the password

Love’s the password, to reclaim light
Aglow in cave of heart
Gentling touch, we garner clear sight
All souls one, none apart

Of this truth, be aware
There is nothing out there
With God’s laws, choose to pair

By bliss beats spurred
Love’s the password

Premium MemberWho needs a Password

There seems

Much use

Of "This" as a catchall

For the appearances

Of nothing..or

Not This

Appearing as This...

So This seems to

Have a story behind

It..which may be

A password to the

Hidden catchall..

Yet..who needs a

Password..?

Premium Memberyour password is incorrect

what are the three most popular computer passwords?
I asked my husband Joe and he guessed one of them.
They are
12345
Password
and 123456

My husband uses this password: Incorrect
because when he tries other passwords
the computer gives him a message that says
“Your password is incorrect”.

Kind of brilliant.

This world ruled by password

This world that dials M for madness—
One for this, Two for that… what mess!
Blind led by blind, or by one blurred,
In this odd world ruled by password.

This world that verifies you’re you,
Robots nor robbers from fake blue,
But a KYC confirmed bird,
In this odd world ruled by password.

Confirm the OTP or else…
Face all the consequent travails,
Repeat wobbly words so awkward,
In this odd world ruled by password.

Despite it all, a world no safe,
Fake, full of frauds, fraught with F,
We live in times a bit absurd,
In this odd world ruled by password.

Password

I see how
I trap myself
every time I think
in my defense.
I don't even have to speak
and every speech tangles me
deeper in darkness.
I wound my case
with every word.
Where is the path out of this place?
The little tricks no longer seem to work.
So alone when no allies can defend me.
The worst sin is peace.

Ok. It is the people
on the other side of the screen
who most concern me.
It is the fantasy of fame.
I can stop
entertaining fantasies.
I can let that slip away
and just laugh and taste.
I can observe and understand.
The pain of this will not kill me.
It will just fade me as if
I put on my dressing gown.

Premium MemberCan 'Password' Change Lives

free association
      comprised of subtle insinuation
    rushes onward to cognation
      random ideas’ gestation

    expressed in dazzling creation
      a pyramiding sensation
    of continuous augmentation
      ~ endless fascination

Premium MemberPassword Smashword

I look at my clue for my password
your favorite place I have written.
I type in eleven places I like.
warning signs come up
one more chance, then I am locked out forever.
there is no way to do this effectively, and I know it.

I wonder what year I developed this password
would that help me narrow it down?
Doubtful
I reinvent myself daily
My favorite this that and the other of last week
Are easily forgotten by the following Tuesday

I am a Gemini
A mercurial chameleon
I change my blouse six times before I leave the house.
Writing down passwords does not help me either
I often forget to do it, not truly buying into this password game
It is not my way. I call Tiger Direct and order another new computer.
