peace corp manned front lines
hyped to show peace sign with hands
 ~ fingers ... two not one

In Paris, society people unironically dress for dinner, go to cocktail parties (where the hostess has an obvious drinking problem), dine with Catholic Bishops, industrialists, politicians and occasional celebrities (usually for charity) in places dripping with atmosphere.

Political entities take actions,
without thinking twice.
Those actions once taken,
come saddled with a price.

Sometimes the consequences, 
of said actions are votes.
They devour each other, 
like a bunch of cutthroats.

Many actions they take,
benefit lobbyist or their person.
While they blame each other,
all things seem to worsen.

Just as certain as early spring clouds drift,
with each sunrise comes some political rift.

Mistakes come natural to most each day,
they don’t forgive, just make others pay.

They harbor resentment and feed an untruth,
and vote technology that corrupts our youth.

They’ve turned part time jobs into lifelong careers,
