Partake Poems | Examples

If

Sit with me
If you dare to partake
Delicacies suited for a king
Uncomposed melodies
that compel the heart to sing
Rays of the sun
wrestled from the sky
Secrets of wise men
upon whom I dared to spy
The moist anticipation
purchased from dreamers
with bated breath
Renewed energy reclaimed
after a moment of rest
The sweetness of honey
gifted by the bees
The gentle power of the forest
as trees chasing a summer breeze
If you dare to partake
Then sit with me

that stifles soul and stops heart from singing
enlivening silence sets our soul free ~
vibrant in the now, joyful and carefree”

Awaken and of Sweet Joy Partake

Oh, it saddens me to see
when dear friends or kin of mine are in despair.
They act so grumpy. Sometimes it seems to be
a stupor they are in, and I wish I knew the way to repair
those who fall into depression, feeling life is so unfair.

Sometimes I too can let things get me down.
At times such as these, I try to shake myself awake.
It does a soul no good to fret or frown.
When a “woe is me” comes on, I must put on my brake.
In moments’ many silences of sweet joy I must partake.
joy

Premium Member Love Is Free To Those Who Partake

Another day another dollar
I've heard this expression many times
Another day another day of love
Would be much more appealing I find

Love is free to those who partake
The ultimate human expression
Without the ability to share one's soul
The meaning of life is in question

If one day suddenly wars all ceased
Not sure we'd all know what to do
It's so ingrained in the human psyche
War machines would have no use

What a glorious time that would be
Idealistic I heard someone say
Perhaps but long as we still can dream
All things are possible today

So I'll end this little dream of mine
By saying to one and all
Love is the key to a life of contentment
You'll feel more than ten feet tall
