Premium Member The outside world sickens you, suffocates you to dissolution under your skin
The outside world sickens you, suffocates you to dissolution under your skin, Home seems too far, the universe too thin, reality - a heavy burden, You implore other shells to cover your body, loose clothes, shining chains, Silent shoes to shift gazes, to hide the pain, to blur the days. Does the mirror seem kinder this way, when you're...

Last check before the parrot was taken outside
I forgot to add tomatoes to the beef. And I was told to put a 1/2 Of white grape juice in the Broth with an additional 3 T of crown royal and to omit the horseradish. We added one teaspoon of Anchovies oil to the mayo and crumbled in some sun dried tomatoes. That should be the show! Sweet banana peppers to do the...

Outside the Circle
A skin that feels borrowed, a voice that sometimes cracks with unfamiliar tones. Mirrors offer shifting landscapes, a fleeting cast of characters I try on like costumes, none quite fitting the soul's contours. The yearning, a constant hum beneath the surface, to root somewhere, to be recognized without explanation, to find the unspoken language that binds one heart to another. Circles form, impenetrable walls of shared history, of...

The outside world makes me sick, suffocates me, dissolves my essence beneath my own skin, Home seems like a distant illusion, reality—a thin veil ready to tear, I beg for other shells to cover my body, to hide my vulnerability, Loose clothes, shining chains, quiet shoes—all to divert attention. I try to hide the pain, to blur the days...

Heard the term “outside the box”? What box are they referring to? Sitting in my jammies at my computer Don't see no box, do you? A term you hear a lot these days What can it possibly mean This old guy is totally confused Totally betwixt and between Catch phrases have always confused me Prefer simple Dick and Jane words So all us grandpas can...

Safe inside these walls
I *gate* my heart, my *jewel*, my happiness in the *shadows* beneath my chest Outside they *mutter* about dangerous games But I'm no knight, I don't own no shield and my heart? it's broken already, I don't need a prince to lie to me my parents are enough to show me '"love"...

I can see you by the window from the outside Squinting, smiling through the sunlight You could see me in the corner of your eye But I'm miles away from the sight What’s the news, how is your blood glucose How did you sleep last night You can’t hear my voice I suppose You’d appreciate how hard I have tried You don’t...

Outside the Outside World
Here I once am again, Resting where there's true peace But not in the way you would imagine Let me go on and explain. Others accept the usuality of reality But to I, I think beyond such staleness Things that embody greatness. The way that the trees are complete with their leaves Is how I feel sanity When the mind is at ease. Where it...

The breathing, bare branched tree outside the kitchen window?
She shivers about, tense at the inhospitable world blinds and plexiglass seal frightened creatures from. Rocking from root to root — in front, in back, in the sun’s silhouette, the wind fancies her social anxious, as if her and I were not sustained by the same substance, as if our roads will not diverge. When I learn...

Who is watching from out there Would you listen if you care You may not, cause anyway No one counts on me to say Hello there, how do you feel Must I wonder what’s the deal But your constant silence, man Makes it hard to get your plan What’s the great idea to hide Hibernating there outside And inside of me as well Bless with heaven...

Jenny’s Outside
…This little girl… She’s someone new, A miracle… Who’s heart could pierce the moon Although I don’t know her, I see, Her fall through the cracks of what’s unseen She needs someone strong, To stand by her side… …Instead she’s found me… …Instead she’s found me… …Pathetic…Little…Me… I step back as the door closes, And to you I say, “goodbye…”...
