'All you need is love'
or so they said (sang) in song
as love conquers all
now don't get me wrong
it may change your outlook
perspective or point of view
for better or worse
as distance lends enchantment
a blessing or curse
yet we hold this self-evidence to be true
and yea verily music be the food of love
according to your taste
but take heed do not fall in love
for it will stick to thy face
With apologies to; Lennon & McCartney and William Shakespeare (1564 – 1616)
She has all she needs.
She's got looks, health, money, family & more.
It will never be enough.

This body's outer surface
Of cracking plaster
Part covered in mould
Must shelter a soul.
For this bright feels, a youth's
Its outlook retains.
In putting a name to it
Cute-ran wonderment
Who tries to sound coherent
Still loses control!
Fresh outlook on autumn makes me smile.

No lazy eyed outlook
When this morn-stilled!
Points as what's on display: "there, look;
Old barrow, cart".
Can it be so excused
When this noon-stirred?
Points as what's just for show: "there, look;
Old cat; porched art".
Cosmic Consciousness
What should I live for if love was cut into
minute pieces?
When in a blinding flash human emotion
instantly vanishes?
Washes up along the edge of emptiness
amidst timelessness?
Wishes to be rescued by a vigilant angel
guarding ethereal spaces?
With pure bliss...I shall bathe in the holy
sea of cosmic consciousness!

Aboard Vision of the Seas
Cruising toward St. John, Newfoundland
Not appearing negative,
and the fear of losing face,
are but two attributes
of the Japanese race,
they're ever-so if not over-polite
and sometimes known,
to never say, 'No,'
or thus it has been shown.
When asked, 'Would you ever say 'No?',
in the Land of the Rising Sun, would a man
contradict himself with, 'Hai, I'd not say so,'
an oxymoron, made in Japan.
But if, when threatened, with a cocked,
locked and loaded gun put to his head,
would he reverse his outlook,
and say, 'No,' instead?
Keeping up with the Jones.
The funds soon go dry.
The wishing well sent out for repairs.
Best be satisfied with what you’ve got.

Yesterday it all seemed grey
Today my lighter mood has much improved
Tomorrow will be even better

Someone on the TV
told me bright sunshine
red sky at night
the outlook is fine
and the app on my phone
says blue skies are due
but when has the forecast
ever been true
it seems like the Sahara
with no oasis in sight
and just another foolish dream
to see me through the starry night
a voice on the radio
said the storm will disperse
things won't go south
or take a turn for the worse
but it's an ill wind won't blow
all the grey clouds away
no matter what
the weatherman may say
it was an ill wind
blew for you to stray
and it's an ill wind
won't bring you home today
Joy comes in bitesize moments
hearts overflowing with gratitude are a blessing
~ the simplest recipe for happiness

There once a place
Filled with people from dark side
They were cold and unwilling
Some unaware life has ended
They go here and there
Or perhaps beside you
In front or at your back
Looking at you now
Going to forsaken places
May lead to a dark path
Not aware of what’ll happen
Hence will be bewitched
Always walk on the sunny side of the street
where the grass is always greener
my advice... give a wide berth to the shady side
(unlike Little Red riding the 'hood)
as over there the streets are meaner
better yet focus on the good
where life is pleasantly serener
maintain a positive outlook
and keep a cheerful demeanour
please don't be annoyed vex or hex yourself
(so as to avoid a scandal)
like the wicked old witch on her broom
who when angry flew off the handle
Bright Outlook
blossoming deciduous trees in Spring—forecast a propitious Summer
