Premium Member An Ounce Of Tears

not enough to soak my dark night’s pillows
with volume of regret’s salt
 pledge is flooding my bed

An Ounce of Tears

Cup runneth over; chalice of sorrow
Drowning in each sip I take,
Fighting for one last breath.

A string of pearls gleams in her aster eyes
she tries to veil grief away
but truth will ever stay.

 – no rain falls from a melancholic sky –
beneath the willow’s tresses
in vain the widow grieves

Lanterns cavort amidst the sodden stone
orchids fade like brief embers
blossoms return as rain

Pretty bright sunny day with birds singing,
turned stormy with big dark clouds,
AN OUNCE OF TEARS came out.

A chemist weighs each bitter tear of grief,

a month to yield a lone ounce,

time refuses to heal.

An Ounce Of Tears —

as breakfast comes out, strain eye-disaster.
     disappear, once oval girl,
     to rose on china cup.

Perhaps within each lifetime it is said
     we may cry an ounce of tears -
          yet form rainbows again.

Yes, I do know the looks of a sad face
covered in an ounce of tears.
My mirror told me so.

to find the deed to Property to claim the gold

Ounce Of Hate
Miracle Man
11/3/2024

It takes an ounce of hate to ruin a person,
left unchecked, most always, we see it worsen.

Many that hate wonder where it got its start,
until hearing God’s whisper, it’s from the heart.

Hate isn't natural, but is something taught,
It’s things a child sees and hears, that causes fraught.

At early ages, children don't know right from wrong,
hate taught at an early age can be lifelong.

Stop hate at the source from which it always flows,
when Jesus cleans your heart hate no longer grows.

Cinnamon dreams aren’t spun with sugar;
Far too spicy for an ounce of sweet,
they are swirled with a magical purr;

Hearing buttery speech you’ll infer
it’s much more than a sumptuous treat;
Cinnamon dreams aren’t spun with sugar;

Not too much glut is what you prefer;
On this diet you’re able to cheat,
they are swirled with a magical purr;

Somewhat of a high-end connoisseur,
their taste is on par with the elite;
Cinnamon dreams aren’t spun with sugar;

All natural, authentic, and pure
a label void of any deceit;
They are swirled with a magical purr;

Hit with a viral spike? Here’s the cure:
Keep it disarming and yet discreet.
Cinnamon dreams aren’t spun with sugar,
they are swirled with a magical purr.
