Nugget

In fields of gold, where wildflowers play,
A tiny gem, the light of day,
I wander through the meadow's green,
Where butterflies glide, soft and serene.

With wings like jewels, they drift and soar,
A wonder of colors, evermore.
They dance with sunbeams, dip and sway,
In warm, bright air they float away.

Oh, I could watch them all day long,
These fragile wings, a whispered song.
Among the grasses, wild and free,
They teach of beauty's mystery.

My mother calls, her voice so clear,
I race to her arms, so warm and near,
And feel my father's strong embrace,
In this safe world, my hiding place.

Nugget

I've been here for so long
trying to soften the dullest words
digging madly inside of me
in search of the prettiest nugget
but when I finally gave up
recognizing to be made of pure gravel
I heard the beautiful cracking sound
of certainties shattering
attesting that maybe
what i believed was horrible in me
could be the best thing I ever had

Premium Member A Nugget of Wisdom

Better it is for one's soul

A nugget of wisdom to possess

Than

A billion in gold bars he to

Amass!

Jumbled jewels all glisten
Ready for a stint imprisoned
Stuck in setting glory losing
Witness to debauchery and boozing

Bound in filth a nugget found
Pasture yields a bounty fast
Cut and polished set for sale
No justice, lost from purity

The innocence of one destroyed
Full dishonor breeds contempt
All for glaring wicked posture
Marked for life, no one exempt

Folly fires to polarize
Collared painful revelry
No return to sanitize
Bedecked the dead in jewelry

Nugget

Dan loves that nuggets
much more than anything else
you know what i mean

Nugget of Gold

A poem about my misscariage

I dreamt of a pool with red water
I dove in
Swam to the empty floor
There was a drain
The pool became a red ocean
The ocean became red rain
The rain became the shower where I lost you
Again I heard you hit the shower floor
I woke up to the sound of your body leaving mine
I woke up to a dream within the first
I gasped and rose from my bed
Everything was white except for me
I was stained red
I saw my mirror on the ground
And took my place on it
When I saw between my legs it was gold
Nugget of gold left my lips
My child I held you everyday of your life
I believe in you when I bleed
That smell of iron forever forged with your memory
Memory is my new name and I live in a city of gold now
The house on the corner where I will forever love you
From the shower floor

Golden Waterfall

I woke up one morning during the season of spring;
To an avalanche that made my ears ring.

Seeing a shadow of glimmering gold;
I arose from bed to find a mystery untold.

Through a forest of frozen piney icicles;
On a mountaintop, the shadow sparkled.

Near a meadow, birds were singing;
On a hill, wolves were howling.

Near a river, a deer was drinking;
In the water, trout were jumping.

I stopped to look around and take a rest;
Suddenly, a golden waterfall took my breath.

I was amazed at what I saw;
A Golden Nugget! underneath the waterfall.

Rain is on the way, with cool damp air and cloud cover of gray
A large golden nugget of sunshine is held in the mind with warmth
To endure the storm brought by weather’s sudden decision to change

Golden Nugget

About 9 months ago, a girl came to class with a black eye. I didn't ask any questions. I just cut my potatoes, made the soup, and kept it moving.

Six month mark, young cat stopped cutting his potatoes a little early. Skipped washing dishes and cleaning his area. Started leaving class 30 minutes early. This idiot moved the girl in. I didn't say anything. Cut my potatoes. Made my soup. And minded my business.

Today, she goes ham on ol boy. Using all kinds of unsavory ingredients to describe his ass. Chefs walked around baffled. I just shook my head. Cut my potatoes and finished my soup.

Moral of the story, it takes about 5 yrs for black eyes to heal. Healthy people, stop getting with hurting people until they're fully healed. Y'all better cut those potatoes, mind your mind and focus on finishing your soup.

The younger me would have never seen today coming. But I knew 9 months ago what was about to go down.

Nugget For Humility

Today I undertake to put on the highest cloak of humility.
To consider myself as an offshoot of Grace.
To act in the lowest denomination of pride.
As much as place other before me in love,
to place every human above my one unit cell of self.
To uphold the pre-eminence of Christ while He increases as I decrease.
I pledge to cancel out all forms of carnal competition which births in the me envy and pride.
And rest in the only favor our Lord supreme places in my realm.
I have decided to bend low to life and in life.
So that His strength will pull me on to honor, glorified in His righteousness.
I therefore declare, that I am nothing without Him and need His sufficiency to add flesh to my inadequacies.
I will let God completely have His way.
For if God claims me in my state of genuine pure humility, He will work it all out Himself,
As He is the one who works in me to do His good will and pleasure.

Gold- looks like drops of yellow sunshine,
         that mesmerize the eye.
Gold- sounds like high healed celebrities,
         tinkling down a red carpet.
Gold- smells of money and power,
mingled with the odor of white diamonds.
Gold- tastes metallic, yet unlike brass,
         doesn’t linger on the tongue.
Gold- feels smooth and cool to the touch,
         not as unyielding as bronze.

A gold nugget looks like a pebble of sunshine,
jacketed in the purest yellow.
And resonates with the accompanying subtle sounds,
of emeralds and blood red rubies.
A symbol of wealth, a gold nugget smells of success,
and is as indulgent as the finest white wine.
Without the tangy taste of brass,
gold feels as tactile as bronze,
with the added resplendent glitter of gilt.

Nugget Twins

Does anyone have an Easter chick?
We have four, a rooster and three hens
Named Junior, nugget, chirpy and twin
These bitties love to snuggle and watch TV
They have taken me for their mom
The rooster likes to be a daredevil
He will run right up to the dog and tempt his fate

The KFC commercials make them cry!

Nature's Nugget

Elephant emphatically exhorted
“Nature – God’s glory, can’t be thwarted
What’s unique in me, do you know?
A boneless trunk picking up things high or low”

Frog in filth croaked and frisked
“Nature – Maker’s magnificence, can’t be depleted
What’s special about me, can you say?
Neckless I am formed to stay.”

‘Catch me’ cried the crab
“Nature – God’s treasure none can grab
What’s peculiar about me do you think?
Although headless, my being has a link.”

Anaconda, “I stop secretion of gall mostly in all
Nature – Divinity’s design, is a call for all
Can you guess what I lack?
Venomless is my entire body sack.”

Nature’s wonder is a sweetest song
With simple stanzas that prolong
None can finish singing for its too long
Yet the idea sounds lucid like a gong

Heavens declare God’s glory my dear
No speech but yet they hear
For Messiah’s message is very clear
‘I am with you forever, never fear.’
