It is September and I am still tired
still yearning for change that I know won’t come
still searching for some kind of a feeling
through a pile of fallen leaves, this ground
definitely seems to have hardened now
because the grass doesn’t blow in the wind
like it used to, and I don’t feel the same,
either. But it’s okay and I’m okay.
I’m afraid my bones will freeze this winter
and I’ve grown rather tired of searching
through all of these dead leaves on October’s
hardened ground. I think my heart feels the same.
Burdened and buried yet benevolent.
I’ve tried to dust off the decorations
but it collects like tears on my pillow
late at night when the storm pounds within me
like rain on my picture window, it looks
as if the clouds are breaking up, but no,
they haven’t. October looms before me
like those ghosts on the television set,
except I am frightened by this sure scene
before me. Will November feel the same?
Summerwind at night
Cold November rain
Lights are burning bright
Leaves are green again
Where are you my dear
Can you see me now
Cause I see you near
Close to me somehow
Summerwind comes down
Blowing me away
See my leaves turn brown
In this snowy day.
Every Ozarkian November, when the first cold rains from the north pour out across the land,
Instantly sweeping away the easy, quiet warmth of autumn- wild winds blow down the colors of the hills.
Each pelting sheet of wetness slamming my windows,
Indicates a new season approaches- a season of joint-gripping misery, a callous wintriness sneaking incredulously into my bones.
Odious elements! You have snatched away the benevolence of the sun!
Summer dreams sleep at the cusp of a cool November
I am filled with hopes that at the font of my soul, tremble
like autumn leaves when the wind blows they toss and sway
like sweet October rain, each raindrop falls but doesn't stay
I remember red poppies, springing out of the ground
in a place called Flanders Fields, my how they slept so sound
after the gunfire a silence rooted so deep we closed the door
after the anthem of doom, the world said " no more "
A November to remember, make it your thanksgiving season
find new breath, be brave, show loyalty not treason
like the first cool feel that touches you at the first snowfall
like the first real kiss that says I love you, it is your call !
I remember those who died before me and I cannot ignore
the red poppies that are strewn across the gravesite floor
I could never, no never forget them nor their brave roar
I could never, no never forget, ...it was a time of war !
Sun on the ground, warm on the bottom.
Heat from the bricks.
In that moment troubles forgotten.
Winter rain brings misery, soaked to the bone.
nothing dries, you still cry.
Never felt so alone.
Stranger propositions make you feel as worthless as can be.
Sins a plenty offered.
Can anything be sold for a fee?
The kindness of strangers is not always what it seems.
A price never expected to pay.
but you say you're living the dream.
Let me be your helping hand, clarity and scope.
The signpost and navigator.
The warm embrace of hope.
November morning
who needs their socks mended
Remember inside my shop
the ruinous rain pouring in
we blessed the cement we bought
The moon swallows us all
each new day is like the old
Im wearing out my rod
November morning you bring me down
It took me years from now to see
I loved the same rain that was drowning me
My early days were filled with joy,
I used to bloom and grin in glee
But O' see how lost I am now!
Why is everything so blur and bleak?
They see no hindrance, no scars
But no one knows what's behind the bars!
Years ago I lost myself and haven't found me yet
I am not who I used to be
And still I am tenderly scripting myself wrong-
To find back who I once used to be.
November again!
Striked euphoria, inevitable pain
clouds dry with no rain
dried are those eyes
and those mastermind lips
clichéd, dumbstruck! only losses, no gain
Little sweetums!
it's your fault,be in shame
It's November again!
January excites, May takes away
misery extends till predator's pray
reticence of melancholy, no words to say
August pours in the void
Till the fall you become paranoid
hopes were false and true fears came
It's November again!
to which it's almost an end
but with the end and the stain
Little sweetums!
It's your fault,be in shame
It's November again!
I’m thankful for the love I know.
Through grief, it continues to grow.
Love so full it endures the pain.
It feels more dazzling in the rain!
I’m thankful for the grace He gives.
Since He is within, my soul lives.
I haven’t one reason to complain.
It feels more dazzling in the rain!
I’m thankful for my dear loved ones.
They’re loved so fully, tons and tons!
Love them more than I can explain.
It feels more dazzling in the rain!
I’m thankful for the sun and moon.
And all the stars that God has strewn.
Gentle faith my soul can’t contain.
It feels more dazzling in the rain!
I’m thankful for the joy inside.
This love I feel can’t be denied.
It comes back, again and again.
It feels more dazzling in the rain!
I’m more thankful than I can say.
This Thanksgiving, my heart will pray…
For His love to make us all humane.
It feels more dazzling in the rain!
Faith, hope and love come to each life,
But that doesn’t mean we’ll know no strife.
Grateful that His light will remain!
It feels more dazzling in the rain!
One day we had rain
Then freezing rain
The following day
A thunder storm came
The thunder was loud
Followed by lightening bright
It lasted all morning
Through the afternoon
With crackles of thunder
then bright lightening
It stormed like this
all afternoon
The evening peaceful
Cold huddled sparrows
Wear that WTF look
A squirrel drags his tail
Through icy puddles
A rat hunkers down
Behind the barrels
Worms wiggle dance
In November’s no-fly zone
A wet Owl whispers “Phew”
School bus children
Defy the rain drops
A grouchy dog waits
For the mailman
An old woman’s scowl
Frightens the wind
autumn is "calling"
falling leaves as rain showers
beauty colorful
~
kaleidoscope dorn
brilliant tint of beige
greens tans oranges
~
yellows and reds hues
fall leaves as rain showers dawn
beautiful autumn

gray
are the
cloudy skies
in November
with the chilly winds
rain turns to snow
blanketing
the ground
white

Heap
of leaves,
fluttering.
There is no rain
to restrain their act.
Blustery winds
animate;
backyard
drift.
How tall the naked oaks stood, and so bold
The sidewalks and my heart still damp with rain
The topaz twilight fades in shades of gold
As fallen leaves lay carpets down the lane
How brisk the wintry winds blew, like a kiss
September’s scent a rich and spicy musk
How perfect was that moment, trimmed in bliss
The gilded leaves a glimmer in the dusk
How crisp the autumn air felt, like a leaf
While October’s hollow voice recites a poem
That tells me tales of all its joy and grief
And even in its sadness I am home
Without a fear, without a care, and without a heavy load
You will find me walking down November Road.
