The price demanded was the highest ever
to ransom my lost, dying soul from hell;
yet, He paid it all without a murmur,
God’s wondrous grace to me let this song tell.
A life of hope is mine because of Jesus;
He gave me joy I never could afford,
opened my blind eyes to view His splendor
and brought me peace, sweet peace, God’s perfect peace.
His life was offered up, the sweetest savor,
love’s sacrifice; sin’s awful cost was paid.
I cannot tell why my Jesus loves me;
I only know He died my soul to save.
CHORUS
For all eternity my heart must praise Him,
the King of kings, the everlasting Lord,
the only one who gives my soul salvation
and a heavenly mansion as my reward.

My Song, it could not sing itself
And neither, friend, could I –
The notes they were – preoccupied
The lyrics lies, lies, lies
It struggled with a forlorn tune
With rhythms cadence-less –
Its chords were carried on the wind
Remote and powerless
From steeple tops it sought my ear
It strove for major scales,
Yet failed to lift this Chorister
– It sang to no avail
My voice was mute in silence
It was no song, no song
That I could ever sing along
– The song was wrong, all wrong
And so, I sought a newer verse
A Tune to fit myself
Without a tonal dissonance
Or timing out of step –
For harmony – I scored a Breeze
For words I fitted Truth –
The Tune a composition
An Opus could reboot
The cantos trebled at the strings
The lyrics crooned of Spring
Instinctively my voice arose
To meet this newer thing –
It rose, a Canta Libre
Familiar in refrain,
I felt a certain resonance
At recess in my brain
Advance in bright arrangements
And deftly play the strains
Of Anthems that I once had known
In glorious refrain
From sleeves of albums days gone by
Away on dusty shelves
And stirring now, My Song restored
As if it never left –
Listen to my song of hope,
my pen flows, it's that river
seeking the calmest sea;
will God hear this plea?
Disunity causes great fear;
no, heart I won't grope
and stumble on untruths,
that's what I truly despise.
It's harmony that
makes us sing,
it's togetherness
that thrills our spirits
to do amazing things.
Listen to my song of hope,
speak up of you disagree;
in this mirror I see clearly,
morality advices
and guides me.
I reject hypocrisy
in all I do and say,
God is behind me:
He's my shield;
I'll avoid a slippery slope.
You are free to do what
you will, I obey my Lord:
He's the lamp in darkness ,
that thunder that sends
shivers to each spine;
fear Him when it strikes,
stay calm, get off cloud nine,
no sky ever remains calm.
Listen to my song of hope,
this body is the creation
of His hands: take care of it,
its a fact, every lesson has its scope;
avoid sin, choose salvation.
Thinking of You Lyrics By Speaks Volumes
Heartstrings Lyrics By Ron VanHooser
Lyrics By Lin Lane
Seems like yesterday I watched your fingers
play the piano, and heard your music unfold.
In memories, the romantic vision of us lingers,
though love's symphony dulled like tarnished gold.
When we were together, you wrote for me,
songs you scored day and night to compose
of the passion between an oak and willow tree,
Lyrics sweet as the fragrant scent of a rose.
Chorus:
But your love wilted like a flower
whose leaves lie withered on the keys.
My heart is wounded and I've no power
to make the miserable ache inside of it ease.
Tender notes on sheet music, ripped and torn.
No longer sung for they bring pain and grief,
stabbing me like a rose's sharpest thorn.
From loss of yesterday's passion there's no relief.
Can time erase the memories I fear won't fade?
Traces of us and what use to be linger in me.
I sway as if slayed by a dagger, and I'm afraid
that from the ghost of you, I'll never be free.
Chorus:
Your love wilted like a flower
whose leaves lie withered on the keys.
My heart is wounded and I've no power
to make the miserable ache inside of it ease.
MY DAYS NOW HALCYON
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I embrace the sun's lavender glow,
for time has etched my story,
one of wisdom, silent knowing
an ancient river softly flowing.
Refrain:
sepia memories have come and gone
reflecting upon my days now halcyon
these eyes have seen a thousand dawns
regretting times when others I did wrong
self-forgiveness becomes my swan song
wondering if in my waning years I’ll be strong.
Refrain
sepia memories have come and gone
reflecting upon my days now halcyon
the temperament’s softened with the years,
sometimes remembering trails of a million tears,
those invisible ones that cascaded down my face
a steady stream sourced at the river of my fears.
Refrain
sepia memories have come and gone
reflecting upon my days now halcyon
soul has grown through time’s refrain
and my heart now beats a tolerant, gentle rhythm,
for it knows of love, of joy, of sorrow's schism.
its chambers beating with strength of life’s true wisdom.
Refrain
sepia memories have come and gone
reflecting upon my days now halcyon
Original song: Jubilee Song by Jamie Rivera
It's a time of joy, a time of peace
A time when hearts are then set free
A time to heal the wounds of division
It's a time of grace, a time of hope
A time of sharing the gifts we have
A time to build the world that is one
Revised lyrics: Jubilee Song by Jamie Rivera
It’s day of happiness, a peaceful life
A day where minds being set free
A day to recover our bruises
It’s day of faith, a day of chance
A day of giving the things we can
A day unite together as one
YOU ARE MY SONG THAT I SING
You're the melody that fills my heart;
(Your soul light shines in the dark;)
With joy the rhythm that makes my soul sing;
( That was so beautiful joy you so bring;)
(O' Love you are the song I sing)
I picked you because you make life more beautiful,
( I pick you are a heartbeat of our Father;
( I pick you because you're God fearing;
(And in awe all I see is love)
More meaningful your love
Is my haven my guiding star;
I love you more with every breath; Every beat of my heart forever,
and always my love;
(On the radio dial, in a large crowd;
Baby, you are the song that I chose
I so sing)
(O' Love you are the song I sing)
YOUR MY SONG-
You are my song;
You are my harmony;
A gift from God;
Worded harmony;
When we are paired;
Love we'll share;
I long for a duet;
As love birds pair;
Angels watch, as we talk;
Looking into each other's eyes;
Hearts beating such;
On loan to each other;
More than lovers;
I your man,
and you mine queen woman;
My darling you are my Song;
And together we sing Hallelujah on;
My song goes like this
time after time I read bedtime stories
back then there were no worries
simple kids go to the store
big momma did her floors
pops cut all the boys hair
at the barbershop
snowballs in the summer time
wind mills in the wind
Italian ices on 18th street
Chicago style hotdogs
jew town polishes
Greek town old town
new town uptown
oh Lincoln park zoo
dreams of being the first black
Supreme Court Justice
I sing my song only after
the blues stopped playing
on Maxwell street
I live to sing, is that strange?
Every night I go to the cabernet
And sing to my faithful friends.
I don’t earn much money
But I eat and drink a lot.
I love to tell them about me,
A blue-eyed girl with blonde hair.
I sing songs from other hits,
But I sing of myself too.
Now, ain’t that’s sweet?
Everyone looks at me,
Everyone loves me.
I can sing high,
I can sing low
But I am getting bored now.
For I need more money.
Do you know any billionaires?
Go to YouTube!
Cradling every scar,
Singing each pain to the wind,
Till I owned my song.
My song is you, a song of love
And I love you my little dove
Would you come to me and play?
When you're through you'll hear me say,
"Encore sweetheart, make it so!"
While lilacs at your feet I'll throw
And always, always, you will know
That where you are is where I'll go
