Don Williams

Wears a smile,
A weapon,
Sharp and cold,
Strings me along,
A story left untold.
Every word's a dance,
My heart’s out of tune,
When she laughs at me
Under the moon.
I give her my all,
She plays away time,
I’m a puppet on strings,
I know I’m losing my mind.
I drive through the night
Pain in my soul,
Finding solace in whiskey and gin
To drown out her toll.
She makes me pay.
Come the morning light
It’s hard to conceal,
When I wake up in a field
Don Williams on the radio.
I know my heart will never heal.
Sweet lies
Keep me chasing the sun,
Each heartbreak I sip
Feels like she’s won.
Tonight I am in the bottle,
I’ll forget who I am—
Lost another dream
Wrapped in her plan.
Don Williams is playing
My song once again,
I'm drowning my sorrows
In a bottle of English gin.
I drive through the night
Pain in my soul,
Finding solace in gin and whiskey
Drowning out the toll
She takes on my soul.
It’s hard to conceal,
When I wake
Listening to Don Williams.
On my radio lost in a field.
Stars fade away
reality bites;
Confusion and hurt
linger deep into nights.
She toys with my affection
To her it’s just a game;
But to this heart
She laughs while it breaks
While I call out her name.
I drive through the night
A damned pain in my soul,
Finding solace in gin and whiskey
To drown out her toll.
Come morning light
It’s hard to conceal,
When I wake up in a field
Don Williams on the radio.
Every dawn finds me
My dreams slip away;
Searching for answers
No one will ever say.
A heart full of scars
An old country feel—
I wish Don Williams
Would tell me
what I should do
and would reveal...

My Wings Take Flight

My wings take flight

I wish to take flight, to get away, I stand upon the mountain top, looking over the edge, the sounds of the ocean hitting the rocks, I back up as to ready myself for flight, I run forward with my arms straight out at my side.

I feel free as my feet leave the ground, I’m finally free flying high above the ground, the ocean as my guide. I see the bald eagle flying above my head, no care in the world, no mask on my face, just the wind blowing in my hair, oh how everyone linings to be here, oh how healing and soulful does flying free feel.

I guide above seeing the world below, my soul is free, no fears here, only the birds, butterflies as my guides..

The Sky is my home, I no longer long for the world we live in now, as I glide around free and calm, with the sounds of the ocean as my song..

verse 1:

the night is long and the road is wide,
i've stepped through dark, side by side.
yet in the darkness- a voice has grown,
a gentle call to take me home.

chorus:

take me home, where the light will stay,
through every storm, you will lead my way
when all is gone, and I stand alone,
your love will rise to take me home.

verse 2:

the world may melt, the years may bend
but love outlives the bitter end.
no fright, no night, no tomb of stone
can split the song that takes me home.

chorus:

take me home, where the light will stay,
through every storm, you will lead my way
when all is gone, and I stand alone,
your love will rise to take me home...

Premium Member Sunshine Song

I sing allured the sunshine song for you,
night lifts silver shroud from curved satin sky.
The canvas of draped dawn sunburst hues dye,
embellish pearl meadow with dulcet dew.
I float on day dream in fervent morn new,
an enthralled nightingale flying you by,
I sing allured.

Radiance flows on your face from the blue,
to echo my song in your heart I try.
Twilight golden dusts all around me fly,
in the whistling wind rippling gently through,
I sing allured.

Return to your roots

Love, once sacred, now feels like air,
Vanishing quickly, though everywhere.
We trust in the outside, hollow and wide,
Forgetting the voice that lives deep inside.

Validation flies high, like stars in the sky,
The truth of a bond is now a surprise.
How did we fall, in this modern parade,
Where promises fade, and hearts are betrayed?

Look how we live, trading for gain,
Raising each other with whispers of pain.
Privacy now guards what love cannot keep,
Secrets that drown in silence so deep.

But today, I rise, unbreakable, whole,
Deception won't swallow the strength of my soul.
Who do I trust, when trust is so thin?
I’ll turn to my roots, where love did begin.

I'd return to my father’s house, where peace is my song,
Rather than live where intentions are wrong.
For I'd rather be alone, in truth and in grace,
Than lie with a heart that’s lost its own place.

Reason with yourself what's better
taking refuge in the Lord is the best
not even princes are worth trusting
for the Lord alone brings you rest

Nations are all around on every side
in the Lord's name cut them off now
surrounded all around buzzing you
but went out as a fire will bow

In God's name forced them out
the power of the Lord never to fail
being pushed hard nearly falling
but help came taken out of jail

Help comes from the Lord on high
having become your personal salvation
for He is your strength and your song
filled by His spirit in eternal elation

(I have written this for a friend who tested positive to covid19 and for all who share the same suffering and anxiety at this time)

("It is better to take refuge in the Lord
    than to trust in man.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord
    than to trust in princes.
All nations surrounded me;
in the name of the Lord I cut them off!
 They surrounded me, surrounded me on every side;
in the name of the Lord I cut them off!
 They surrounded me like bees;
    they went out like a fire among thorns;
in the name of the Lord I cut them off!
I was pushed hard so that I was falling,
    but the Lord helped me.
The Lord is my strength and my song;
    he has become my salvation.)

Small Passerene Birds

In the southern parts of Africa
You can hear me singing my song
A member of the finch family
Maybe the smallest one

I’m a small passerine bird
Such a tiny, tiny, thing
Like the colour of the sun
Bright shining from my wings
I’m a vibrant yellow soul
With an attractive mellow hue
I’m a border fancy singing
Whistling these songs to you

We are the songbirds of America
Hey’ the special roller tours
The beautiful American songsters
The ones you cannot ignore

I’m a small passerine bird
Such a tiny, tiny, thing
Like the colour of the grass
Bright shining from my wings
I’m a vibrant green soul
With plenty of attitude
I have a wide range of songs
Let me sing you the blues

Were a colourful chorus of birds
Competing in the shows to sing
But not during the molting period
In the summer just after the spring

Were the birds of Canary Islands
But took refuge on Spanish sails
The most famous finch in history
Singing beautiful as nightingales

I’m a small passerine bird
Such a tiny, tiny, thing
Like the colour of a rose
Bright shining from my wings
I’m a vibrant redish soul
A brilliant little actor
Hear me bellow out
Have I got the Xfactor

We are popular cage birds
On both sides of the Atlantic
The hen she’s kind of cute
But the cock, now he’s romantic

Silly Song of Life

Sing a Song of Misery
I’ve carried through my life,
not relieved by living with
my children or my wife.
My children cost me money,
and my wife just nags at me.
Hear my song of misery,
when will life set me free?

Sing a Song of Happiness
Oh, such a lovely life,
in sharing precious moments with
my children and my wife.
My children keep my spirit young,
my wife's love feeds my soul.
Listen to the melodies
that fill life's precious bowl.

Sing a Silly Song of Life,
it's you who plays the tune.
It's you who writes the lyrics
and decides the way you croon.
For life's the same for everyone,
it's just the path you choose.
It's you who makes it Rock and Roll
or fills it full of Blues.

The wife, the kids and everyone
you meet along the way
will have to share to some degree,
in how you choose to play.
Are you the music to their ears
or chains around their heart.
It's you who makes the world go round,
how do you play your part?

MUSIC

The rythme progresses through me
Reaching to depths unknown
Leading me to another realm
Only I have ever gone

A place of solitude
Where I can be free
For my soul is the melody
To which I shall dance alone
And the beat is my life walk
Opening the walls that have never been shown

Oh how I love to sing
Especially when I hear that old familiar
That takes me back to the day
That I could just proceed along
No cares, no worries, just me and the world
Being free...... to my song

How many memories are wrapped up within tones
That have touched our lives
How many people can we recall
With just one sharp# climb
Or with just one flat fall

The power of our melody is our own
No one can hum it
No one can take it
Because our life walk is our song

We can take this empowerment as high as we want
Or we can take it to the lows
No matter how we play it
It still grows

With each and every encounter
Down our blessed path
The music follows
With our every step

So embrace your sharps and flats
Knowing that it is helping you
Through this turbulent ride
Sing it loud and don't be ashamed
For your song knows you are doing your best

Don't let the bar line tell your ending
Keep the melody flowing
Continue your lines without cares
And when your curtain rides low
And the rythmes come to a sway
Just look at the pages before
To where you started from
And to how you have become so much more today

Keep the music alive....even with a hummm

Loved By the King:

Loved by the king of all kings
His love is a mystery
This poem I write
Will be a testimony
This is my song
This is my story

Yeshua I am amazed by your love
You are my saviour
You are my comforter

Father you are worthy
The things I have seen astound me
Yahweh this is my story
This is my song
Lord you are my friend

Today am determine
To write this poem
Elohim you are a mystery
Today I surrender
Today I summon you

Let this poem
Be my testimony
Let each word tell a story
Of how I became free
Yeshua you are my saviour

Am ready to live my life for you
Lord my greatest gift
Is to give you your due.
