~Not Like Me~

When you were first put into my arms,
I begged God, to make you nothing like me
For my sins, ask for no transformation
This is my song, my meditation

Look at my face
Where has it gone,
You no longer desire to be part of my song

Look at my life,
The toll hasn't been paid
I'm the one suffering every day

The vengeance of eternal flames,
   sit near the empty heart
Burning my needs to hold you once more,
I need you more than you'll ever know

Now, Look at me, at the age of 73
I have nowhere to go
Everyone I know awaits in a place of gold
Unlike you, you're too busy, proud and bold
------ A different song!!!

I sing a song, that accentuates the mind,
I have no one to blame, I neglected all the signs
Hoping the rain would slowly die off

Today here I lay, wondering where I went wrong
I implored God, to cause you nothing like me
I have a heart that forgives and tries to forget
I kneel, and I give, and I treat others with respect
My compassion, I measured in the poorest way

I judged my life worse than the others did
Why did I ask ---- Not Like Me!
For my sins, ask for no translation
This is my song, my speculation

The dreaded conclusion of this song,
All I can say is, "Be careful what you ask for."
In the end, all I can say, I got what I asked for
Someone, who's Not Like Me......................

My Song To You

Come to the meadow just you only,
Where autumn weaves her spell;
On hills and purple moorlands lonely,
Where the magic of her presence dwells.

Beneath blue sky and fields of heather,
With soft humming of honey bees.
And I'll hold you, just us two together,
To share the scent of autumns leaves.

We’ve time to share asters in the meadow,
With all that we love best;
With the swallows wings and your shadow,
And summer's grass that built the nest.

To hold and hear the soft wind singing,
To see your hair tossed and blown;
And meet the bluebird softly winging,
Through heaven and earth, we too fly alone.

When in this life I felt down
You were the one that was around

Maybe it was the way you held my hand
I knew in my heart you would understand

I miss the way we used to sit and talk
The times we didn't look at the clock

The way you walked in those tight jeans
Made me want to pull my skin and scream

I remember trembling at your touch
I love and loved you so very much

I am lost inside now you're gone
Baby you are still my life's song

When I look to the night sky, I tear
I miss you and wish you were here

Lyrics By Lin Lane

Seems like yesterday I watched your fingers
play the piano, and heard your music unfold.
In memories, the romantic vision of us lingers,
though love's symphony dulled like tarnished gold.

When we were together, you wrote for me,
songs you scored day and night to compose
of the passion between an oak and willow tree,
Lyrics sweet as the fragrant scent of a rose.

Chorus:
But your love wilted like a flower
whose leaves lie withered on the keys.
My heart is wounded and I've no power
to make the miserable ache inside of it ease.

Tender notes on sheet music, ripped and torn.
No longer sung for they bring pain and grief,
stabbing me like a rose's sharpest thorn.
From loss of yesterday's passion there's no relief.

Can time erase the memories I fear won't fade?
Traces of us and what use to be linger in me.
I sway as if slayed by a dagger, and I'm afraid
that from the ghost of you, I'll never be free.

Chorus:
Your love wilted like a flower
whose leaves lie withered on the keys.
My heart is wounded and I've no power
to make the miserable ache inside of it ease.

In My Song

I heard the rain coming down and thought of a different time…
Wondered if it was you crying across your world to mine…

Now I try to fall asleep with a picture of another day…
Dreams encircle my mind in their own cruel way…

Morning came and the rain had stopped, did it mean there was a smile…
I walked through the day looking to the sky if only for a while…

We made choices that were for the best but still we remember…
The past fell through the door like summer to September…

I lay my head in a peaceful place and I wish the same for you…
The rain will never be the same from where we came through…

I see you in the sky and you hear me in a song…
Pages turned and credits ran over coming right and wrong…

"Sing unto the Lord; for he has done excellent
things: this is known in all of earth."

                                         Isaiah 12:5

Lord, my wish for today is that you give me strength,
and courage and let only tranquility leave my lips;
and only serenity dwell in my heart. This is my wish,
Lord, I know you prepare a place for me in Heaven.

Lord, let me accept my past, present, and my future,
allow me to surrender all my fragmented memories;
all my grief, all my sorrow, regret, and my failures,
will you carry me in your arms, Lord, so I can rest.

Thank you Lord for always being my rock and anchor,
for holding my hand when I am afraid and carrying;
me in your arms when I am broken, nothing can ever
destroy my faith, I believe in you with all my soul.

Kneeling in song and prayer I proclaim forever,
my dedication, see my tears Lord, these are my tears;
of thanks and my eternal gratitude that I have you,
Lord where there is hate let me sprinkle your love.

"Where there is sorrow let my words soothe,
where there is discouragement let me inspire. "

Premium Member Once You Were My Song

There was a season, precious was that time,
When you were my dawn of ebullient sunrise,
Song of my mornings, exuberance of spring,
Blossoming gleefully life’s verdant prairies
Whispering to dreamy nights hints romantic
Adorning love verses in indulgent promise.

As autumn arrived, you were still by my side,
Though vigor of hearts soon began to parch
As resplendence dried amid meadows’ sighs
When memories of spring autumn spurned
For music of romance was abruptly paused
And you left the stage as emotions stormed
Leaving behind effigy of affections denied.

There I struggled in turmoil of the bygones
Recalling forever-vows pledged for lifelong
Dissonant in your resolve~ time to exit now,
When rejecting my pleas, you were soon gone,
Refusing to ponder where did love go wrong.

Those days of spring still bloom my prairies,
Your passionate themes still blossom my dreams,
Though you have left and time has moved on
I am still holding on to reveries of our past
Knowing, at times, while love may not last,
It still strums the music and recites its song.

When the waves are flooding the shore
Yeah, when my world is falling apart,
Once more you open the door
And you’re here in my heart.

I never thought that I could feel this power.
I never thought that I could feel this free.
Picture perfect memories scattered
All around the floor
Whisper words of wisdom , let it be!!

Premium Member Lord Will You Hear My Song- -Please Hear My Song

Lord, will you hear my song, my song;
don't wanna be rich nor famous;
I just want the world and angels to sing along, along;

Lord give me those words;
That the people need to hear;
Glory, Glory..
I want to tell your story

Hallelujah
Merciful Father
I need your guidance;
Help me write the words to their hearts;
That lost father, that broken daughter;
I need you God to give me the right words;
To help the hurt, help the lost;
I thank you daily for dying on the cross...(for us, for me)

Lord, will you hear my song, my song;
don't wanna be rich nor famous;
I just want the world and angels to sing along, along;

Lord give me those words;
That the people need to hear;
Glory, Glory..
I want to tell your story

Hallelujah
O' Holy Jesus
We need ya
I need your guidance O' God;
Help me to write the words that you want heard;
Help me to lead the sick and lost, at any cost
You dear Father please heal them that are sick and lost;
Hallelujah

Lord will you hear my song, hear my songs;
Don't wanna be rich nor famous
Just want the world to read and sing them;
I'm just your vessel with your Holy message
Just a vessel with your Holy message
I just want the world and angels to sing along, along;

The Way You Sing My Song
David J Walker

I remember falling in love with a song
And then searched for someone to
Try it on

While you were singing the words
Of your hearts desire

The fire
		The fire

The words of arrant desire

If I write another love poem
It will have to be
an apology

for not believing
someone could love me
the way you sing my song

When was the last time I saw you?
When was the last time I kissed you?
You always say you'll be there for me
You always say you'll be my hero.

When was the last time I hugged you?
When was the last time I cared? (I said, "I love you?")
You always say I am the only one
You always say I am your everything.

How will I know you are true to me?
If you will leave me with questions in my mind.
How will I know I am the only one?
If you will just leave with no reminding signs.

I always keep you in my heart
(In my mind) I do and I always will.
In my soul, you will always be (my hero)
The one and my everything like you said I am to you!

I woke up one morning without you by my side
I cried and tried to fight these feelings I have for you.
Never learned how to keep them or put them aside
It is because it's my whole life that I'm offering for you

Teach me to be strong, so you can leave me alone.
Teach me to be safe, so you can let me astray.
Teach me to be kind... kind enough to care for myself
  everyday.
Teach me to be brave... brave enough to stand all alone.

This is my song.

My Song

There is a happy song
I cannot sing today,
For all the thoughts of you
Were surely washed away
By swiftly flowing tears,
That mingled with the rain.

I searched the empty hallways,
And every corner of my mind,
But all the fading memories
Had left me long ago.
All I saw were shadows
Where you had been before.

I listened for your voice
In every song I heard
But all the fading echoes
Had left me long ago,
All I heard were shadows
Falling to the ground.

There is a happy song
I want to sing today,
Of sunlight mixed with shadows
And memories of you,
Of flowers, songs, and laughter . . .
All mingled with the rain.

My Song Is Gone

my song is gone
my lips cannot speak
my tongue’s tied
my head’s turn’d bald o’er-night
my people what do you say?
death’s cruel!
death’s a grinding machine
show me the house
that receives her blow
& stands firm!
