My blanket of comfort

My mother~
the reason my heart begins to beat,
my guardian angel,
my warm blanket of comfort.
In her care, my dreams take root and bloom.
She is my guiding light in every storm.

She is the song most suited to my dance,
the well of love, of kindness, care.
The only star in my ocean’s sky,
the reason I sparkle like sunlit gems,
the hearth where all my hopes are kindled,
my chest of love, my tender warmth.

A good wife to my father,
she made our family a gallery of masterpieces.
She cooks, she cleans, she works, she gives.
In her eyes, my tears find shelter.
In her heart, my love finds rest.
She wears my sorrow
and wraps me in a robe of joy.

My mother~
my first teacher, firm yet kind,
a compass when my path grew dim.
She taught me how to brave life’s storms
and guided me with patient strength
toward the light of wiser choices~
the voice of right when right felt far.

To my yet-to-be wife—
turn not my heart away from her.
Respect her, that our home may bloom.
Give her honour, like rain gives the earth.
Then shall your love flow through my blood,
and on your head shall rest the crown
of my eternal love and care.

A Mother's Day
mother you always have my love

in the wonderful month of may
you were sent from way up above
from God with a heart full of love
A Mother's Day.

MOTHER'S DAY POEM

MOTHER'S DAY POEM

My Metaphor states: a bouquet of love, a garden of care,
Solemnly surrounds me with women beyond compare.

My wife, a partner, a friend, a mother, and a guide,
Nurtures with love and affectionate heart inside.

Big sisters, supportive, wise, strong and so kind,
Lead by example, with a good heart and sound mind.

Younger sister, sweet and a proud brother's delight,
Brings peace and love, but takes trouble out of sight.

My Mother, a pillar, a rock, earthly angel, a shining star,
A constant presence yet distant, paradoxically she's never far.

Today and every day, I celebrate you,
The women who make my life anew.

Happy Mother's Day to each of you,
May love, joy, and gratitude forever shine through!

Premium MemberForget Me Not

Forget me not!
How could I?
It’s Mother’s Day…
The angel toppled over
alongside your house…
Dad’s house.
I upright her and lay
fallen red rose petals
on her lap.
I snap a picture
and show it to Dad -
he smiles. He smiles, Mom!
I sit on the couch,
open Facebook
and up pops us, Mom.
I posted this photo
two years ago.
It’s us, Mom!

A Real Mom

My real mom,
let us starve sometimes.
My claimed mother fed us,
when we were hungry.
My real mom,
did not care if we had shoes,
or the blues.
She did not care to hear...
about step-father lies,
as that is how she felt,
about things.
My claimed mother,
gave us blankets,
and lunch money,
bought what was needed...
when there was a miracle to be had
and we were beyond sad.

My claimed mother,
is an angel.

My real mother...
is not really a real mother.
My claimed mother...
is!

Thank You Mom

The biggest treasure in the world,
is not under the earth.
It has been there with me for all my life
From the very moment of my birth.

I still wonder how she knows
what I am feeling.
And when she holds me in her arms,
her words face so soothing.

When times are tough or I am bored,
Your gentle smile washes it all away.
You as the greatest treasure in the world,
God gave me that very day.

You are my everything.
Your love has never fall short.
You have been there with me from my day one
and for all this I would like to say thank you mom.

Mother, your rhythmic heartbeat, the first sound we ever heard
Your tender love the first feeling that we ever preferred

Your lovely face the first image we have ever conceived
Your soft kisses the first touching that we ever received

You are the main reason to this world we ever came
You represent all dear things that we can ever name

You are the angel who protects us from dawn till dusk
You are the one who happily performs our every task

That’s why indebted to you, we incessantly remain
And
With all our heart, thank you mother, in ecstasy exclaim!

* HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL MOTHERS OF THE WORLD!

Midwife's Love

The story is about someone's life,
Written by pen and not a penknife,
Telling of a cool guy with no wife,
Who was brought up by a midwife.

Even though she wasn't his mom,
She struggled for him to transform,
By helping him to get past the storm,
Even at times when he didn't perform.

The midwife didn't treat him like a fream,
By throwing him away as if he was a heam,
All she wanted was him to achieve his dream,
So she raised him as her own and made him gleam.

A Mother

Mother knows best... it's absolutely true
When she says NO probably she has a clue
It will lead to mishap if we will not follow
She doesn't want her child to be in sorrow

Optimistic... no matter what uncertainty happen
Whatever trials and adversaries, she can't be threatened
Teaches her child to be positive, courageous and open
To be resilient, to be hopeful, nice and even...

Tender loving care from the moment we're born
A mother create a bond no one can torn
She watches over her child's smile and frown
She is restless, up till the break of dawn

Her heart is as precious as diamond and gold
The love will never get vanish until we get old
Even if we take her for granted and be cold
She will continue to love a thousand fold

Enduring all difficulties, suffering the pain
Who could have a heart to put her in vain?
She can place herself in trouble with no complain
Will fight for us, our enemy... her greatest villain.

Real angel... yes she's our protector and guide
A piece of heaven on earth where great love abide
Good listener and friend to whom we should confide
She is as calm as the ocean, as might as a tide...

From a Grateful Being-

I recollect the day I chose
to step into this world-
A world so cruel and ruthless,
Where even the light wanted to make me blind.
I was welcomed by faces unknown and weird
Helpless I was, there was nothing to do ,
so I cried, cried and cried..

Suddenly, I felt an arm approaching-
Worried and afraid, louder I wailed
That was when I heard a gentle voice , showering words so composed,
Enough it was to pacify my soul.

Then a realisation sprung to mind
on the touch , as soft as fleece
Comforted I was, on being assured to be
with the angel who was sent for me by Lord.
It was none other than you, Ma!

Lost in ecstasy of discovery , I was interrupted by your murmuring to me-
That moment, so joyful it was!
Your admiration for my cheeks chubby, nose buttony
And my being doe-eyed
All that still echoes in the core.

So many years on and still counting,
There is a lot more to mesmerise.
I will always love you more than you care for me,
Oh Ma! You and I will always be together...

The World Begins With You

THE WORLD BEGINS WITH YOU
--for Every Woman
by
Ajeyemi Wasiu
The world begins with your
womb that houses me.
The world begins with your
love that swaddles me, Woman.
The world begins with your laughter
that engulfs everywhere.

The world begins with your face
where the spell of light lives;
where the charm of love dwells.
The world begins with your heart -
the lone temple where we gather
to worship.

The world begins with
your hands full of dews. Your arms
waiting to embrace my tender body.
The world begins with your voice
that stirs our ears to the wind of your
songs.

The world begins with your teeth
that surpass the whiteness of snow.
The world begins with you, Woman.
The world lives when you love.
The world dies in your absence.
The world begins and ends with
you, Woman.

Kind of Woman

She's the kind of woman everybody would want to have
So sweet and caring, with a filigree kind of heart-but a hard one
Very amazing and loving, She's a nonentity to her enemies preferably
But a shop of jeweleries to her people-who truly know her value
Even when her mind is taut and pale, her heart is tight and strong
She's my woman, my mother, my queen

Despite the difficulties and obstacles that comes along her
She stands out strong-like a real role model
Despite the pains and agony she faces, she still smiles at the end
The despair and negativity of people towards her doesn't pull her down
She's a real uber-woman with heart filled with love
She's my super woman, my love, my found treasure

More or less I don't have preferred words to describe your goodness
On this day I celebrate your existence in my life-you're an angel
Treasonable act I'll do if one messes around you
Hat-trick in your record for being a mother, a mentor and a father as well
Even on negatives you still remained to be positive; you cleared all our doubts
Rowdy as I was you still accepted me- My worrior, my best herb, I love you

A Triolet For Mothers Day

Bearer of three bountiful births,
How could we show our gratitude?
—It would not compare to your worth.
Bearer of three bountiful births,
Our angel that walks on this Earth,
For our love, you always renewed,
Bearer of three bountiful births,
How could we show our gratitude?

(For my mom, Christina Marie. I love you more than words could describe.)
