Plea For Help Coronavirus Covid-19

A PLEA FOR HELP
(Coronavirus COVID-19)
Roy Mokoena

From coughing to coffin
So quick this is how you spread.
You attack every living mammal
You torture all the helpless animals.
You are a menace to our health
You are lethal and contagious.
You are serious about destroying the mortal world
Stop the savage attacks on a defenseless nation.
Enough with the killing, Enough with the killing.
The level of rivalry among people is growing,
Everyone is focusing on their own wellness.
Families are no longer bonding,
Fellow citizens are quarantined because of your inhumane deeds.
Government is struggling to come up with solutions on how to better the situation
and find the cure for the infected.
You have put the world into vicissitudes of life.
Be visible and come out to the light so that we can give you the ubuntu treat.
Drop off your missiles and stop vandalizing
the innocent creatures.
Hear us, Hear the world, Heal the nation O Lord!

A December To Remember

A DECEMBER TO REMEMBER
Roy Mokoena

Who will I be without number twelve,
Time for gatherings and restoration of relations,
A lot of festivities but my birthday month,
The tail of the year, in it I was created.
Triple decades ago, I was still crawling, It felt
good moving from place to another with knees.
Like a thirsty stallion I could not stop crying,
The lullaby I always sang before the bedtime.
A December to Remember
Flecks of grey speckled over my dark hair,
I am now growing and becoming very old,
If age was a wage, health would be my wealth.
Rands in the hands, the poorman's daily dream. Brighter days, Holiday on a Monday I was born,
A bouquet of dandelions I received as a gift,
but songs and surprises are always a Joy for Roy.
Christ was born on the twenty-fifth day
A December to Remember
I was born on the twenty-sixth day
I am also a Member to Remember.

The Gravesite Lament

THE GRAVESITE LAMENT
Roy Mokoena

When the earth hath giveth us chance to breathe,
but death meddled in between and barricaded our journey. After birth we all rejoice and celebrate but when there is death, folks and friends suffer from sorrow, pain and grief. Alongside thy grave on the autumnal grass, I solemnly knelt thither, gazed my eyes towards the tomb, said a prayer for your resurrection. A swarm of butterflies fluttered in the breeze, the mockingbirds whistled their melancholic music-piece. Clouds banked, the
whole skies rumbled, rocks crumbled and stars crashed into the space. I cried out vehemently,
I was dying to share my love with you again, after the bible verse that you whispered in my ears,
I was resuscitated. You promised to take care of me, oh Lord my God, pain that made me sob my heart out was cured, all my distress was washed.

I Decided

I DECIDED
Roy Mokoena

Making a final decision may be so hard,
living a doubtful life should be a discard.
Brains in the mind, I am able to think,
Smiling my heart out, it is time to prink.

My journey - I'll travel with confidence,
So my future is beyond my cognisance.
My battles are always fought with spears,
and never will I cry myself out to tears.

The decision that I have made,
a pure light that will never fade.
The smell of deodorant on my shirt,
All ladies are looking up for a flirt.

But I have decided, I have decided!
And by His mercy, I will be responded!

My Reminder

MY REMINDER
Roy Mokoena

Silence at night, shadows in the dark streets.
The blue skies lit by the twinkling silver-stars.
Noiseless, only the gentle ticks of the clock.
Alone in the beachfront, I admired the roll of the waves in the North Sea, it created a good music,
the magnificent composition with emotive lyrics.
Pure and moderately soft, so was the sound.
It raised my ears, I bent down (chin to the chest)
my eyes lowered with tears, I cried my lungs out.
Eye-fluids rolled down and down my toenails,
My feet plunged in wetland, trapped in the mud,
unable to walk but able to move, I was helpless.
With my wings widely spread, I shouted a plea.
You came to my rescue, responded to my call.
Your presence, good riddance to my loneliness.
Your support reawakened me, Im now living.
Your consolation cured my wounds, I can walk.
I recovered from the feeling of being lost,
The Le good life in me, you planted it.
The smile you brought, hath reshaped my face!
You made me love again- You're my reminder!

The Winter Bed-Check

THE WINTER BED-CHECK
Roy Mokoena

Waking up in midst of the night,
Burdened by the loneliness in me,
Hard to lie a head on an empty bed.
In the cold hours, I rolled from left to right,
I put my wings close to the body,as a bird on alighting- i needed a warm cuddle.
I was hoping for a feminine touch,
Her hands to embrace, I was freezing.
I looked up, I imagined, I desired, but nothing,
I couldn't resist the craving, I was burning.
The confusion dimmed my mind off,
I remembered, Tears ran down my face!
Stronger feelings- I needed a company,
Someone of a gender contrary to mine,
Whom I could exchange the breath with.
Only the pillows were in my possession,
The shivering never stopped, a winter battle!
Dry lips- I needed a mouth-watering,
Cold hands- I needed someone to caress!
The only way to substitute loneliness,
Is by creating a solid togetherness!
A man, A woman- their marriage!
Their oneness is their happiness!
How fantastic is the fantasyland of a man who dreams and do things differently in the next wake!
Set action plans that bring about change,
And live a lifestyle that brings him full satisfaction!

He Gave Me Life

HE GAVE ME LIFE
Roy Mokoena

Under the moonlight in the late hours of Monday,
The earth stopped rotating, Silence in the land!
A bank of clouds gathered, the stars disappeared
The light faded , so the dark prevailed.
The fog alongside the skyline dispersed,
Thunders rumbled, it made a rain song!
Heaven dropped its showers to wet the surface,
My first visit on this planet - a Holy reception!
His hands delivered, I received my soul
Angels lit their lamps, said praises unto Him.
Blessings came down, Birds tuned the music.
The heartbeat - I was born!
Deep respiration - a sign of life!
I opened my eyes, i observed the nature...
Perfect view at my sight, green all over the coast.
All those miracles, I will always fear HIM
My existence in this world, He planned it
Im grateful that I am alive, He is able.
GOD gave me life- I am HIS creature!

My Life Page

MY LIFE PAGE
Roy Mokoena

I lived,I have seen,but still can't imagine life
I got the direction, but never took an action!
I made decisions, but still stuck in the wilderness
I ignored their advices, I followed my instincts,
of which is good at some point!
I have no one to blame, but to rebuild my name!
All that I got from fame, turned into a flame!
Now I rise, that's my plan of action!
My LIFE, now onward... You are a different chapter.
I will lean on you tirelessly.
I will live you, that you never leave me.
I will befriend you, you be my pal
I will learn your tricks, so I earn all the success!
Now I stand firm, grasp my hand
Walk me out of all the challenges,
Let my future blossom! I was made to shine!
Bury my past, refresh my thoughts
Change my life, YOU own it.
Life lived without struggles is not wealthy,
But struggling to live wealthy life is also healthy!
A wealthy life ... A healthy one!

Music Is An Art

MUSIC IS AN ART
Roy Mokoena

Unlike an ordinary song,
this is the sound of a chirping bird,
too rhythmic but polyphonic,
an awesome melody,
no human voices attached,
only notes and beats connected together
to define music as an art of singing!
Too soft, a gentle rendition
Not very loud but harmonious
flows with feelings, so mind blowing
It refreshes the thoughts
but never stops the brainstorming!
It gives life to a dying soul, it revives the wicked
It lessens the amount of stress, it is so healing
it rolls with emotions, it is so devotional
A pure enjoyment, A daily entertainment
How magnificent is this piece,
Joyous and Compassionate, a good song!
Sentimental and Instrumental, its a good music!
The Music that is sung classically ... is so unique!
Shape it before you sing it, That's Art!
